I wouldn't even bother with this unless you're a serious lore geek, but there are some new videos going up which may or may not be about new Skyrim content.  But they're of the seriously-mind****ed-weird kind.  Just to warn you.

The Memospore Channel

The only thing concrete that I can gather is that it probably has to do with Tiber Septim's ascension to godhood.  Since many people speculate that Tullius- Ulfric- Dragonborn form another enantimorph that could either ascend to godhood (or mantle Talos, strengthening him??), it could be teasing a new DLC where we see something like that happening.  I've been expecting that the next DLC, which I think will probably be the last, would show us what the mythical significance of the Dragonborn will be.  So, this could be it.

If it all turns out to be about ESO (because one of the videos shows the ESO "loremaster" Lawrence Schick, with a lore forumite's avatar mask superimposed over his face)... I'm going to be seriously teed off.

Hi, bit of a lurker here but did anyone else immediately hop on Odahviing and troll the Thalmor Embassy 'cuz I'm sad to say I did such a thing.

(PS3 player so only beat Dragonborn yesterday.)

Hi there lurker.  You used the dragon riding in mainland Skyrim?  I wasn't sure you could do that.  I probably won't use the mechanic much, just as I ignored mounted combat.  It's nice that it's there but not very useful to me.

Actually, you've given me an idea.  I normally call Dragons for the fort battles in the civil war quests.  This time I'll fly in on one.  I'd also like to pay the Blades a visit at CRT.

Damn I grind my smithing and it works for a few levels.

Now enemies are getting better then me again.
What level would you say it takes before you stop feeling weak?

Level 25 so far for me and I still have to be really careful around boss level enemies.

At level 31 Deathlord Fus Ro Dah ragdoll and their irritating disarm stop working.  By level 40 you should be fine.

Ha ha, that would be an awesome troll.  Esbern is an alright guy but when he and Delphine turn zealot it's quite a disappointment.  Not that they're entirely wrong about the potential threat of dragons.  But especially if the Thalmor turn out to have sunbird technology, we're going to need some air support on the side of the good guys.

Actually I wanted to troll them too but Sky Haven wouldn't show on the map. I kind of wanted it to be a middle finger to them (mainly Delphine) but alas. Still it was shamefully satisfying perching on the Thalmor roof and frying some wizards. I think my character will make it a weekly event and pretend that they can become paranoid.

I actually had a pretty epic feeling fighting another dragon on the back of Odahviing.

And yes Addai67, you can defintely mount dragons in Skyrim. Odahviing will be the only one I fly though. <3 He along with Cicero, Ulfric, Parthuurnax, and now Neloth are my favorites.

I found it funny that the Thalmor showed up on Solstheim. Quite the busy little bees.

I quite enjoyed that, too. Just happened to have a few black soul gems on me. Bonus!

@ Deviant: I like the way you think.

Now I have to try it since my Dunmer has destruction and the Telvani alteration spells.

(Oh and Mercer Frey is another favorite and Brynolf.)

Does anyone else actually feel a bit terrified by Hermaeus Mora? Out of all the characters and out of the Daedra I find him truly terrfying. His whole presence is scary and quite off putting, which is the point I guess.

So quick question:
In the one handed tree do you guys prefer Maces, Axes, or Swords?

I am thinking I will go for maces this time around I really like the 75% armor ignoring ability.

I like swords because if you use dual weapons perk with the swords perk you get crazy speed and damage.

I typically only take the base perks and Fighting Stance for S&S, so weapon choice does not really matter, but  usually go with swords as they are faster. Unless you are Crafting your own, choose the type that has the best bonuses and appeal for you (eg; Harkon's Sword).

Swords, and ocasionally axes. I don't like the way maces look but then again I've never really tried them. I only use swords for 2 handed.

Also, unless one chooses Enchanting, there are not many special maces in the game, See here for specs:

If I'm going to dual-wield I usually  choose Daggers or  Swords for their speed.  If I'm using a shield, then swords and axes.

But note:  The 75% armor ignoring that blunt weapons get is not  nearly as great as it sounds.  The vast majority of enemies in this game have crappy armor ratings anyway.  Very rarely will you ever see bandits wearing anything better than Iron or steel.  And Draugr all wear light armor.   And No enemy wears improved armor.   The result is that the armor-ignoring perk will, at best, let you do  a pitiful % of extra damage.  Barely enough  (if even) to make up for their slower attack speed.

Decent observation, but would this change depending on how the Player mods the game? With enhanced high lvl play, or armor mods, this would seem to alter the choice a little.

I got ragdolled for the first time today by a bunch of draugr.

"Hey, Mr. Draugr!"

"Fus Ro Dah!"

Slipped up and got seen with my sneak archer. One shouted and I was thrown across the room. I got up and then another shouted and knocked me back across the room. Then it happend again and again. I have no idea how I'm supposed to fight that so I died and reloaded? How do non sneaky classes combat that? Maybe ambushing them with a shout first? But if its a roomful, can you kill them fast enough?

Found some deathbrand armor in Dragonborn that makes we want to clear a perk tree and pick up one-handed talents, but a crippling lack of defense against that sort of attack makes me wary.

Saw a video that revealed when a table, altar, or some like barrier is in the way, it seemingly nullifies the effect; at least reduces it. Hope that helps!

started a new game because, while visiting family, my "True save (with my Khajiit and all the DLC)" wasn't saved to the Cloud, and my brother-in-law doesn't have any DLC on the xbox he has [which they mainly use when playing Kinect with their kids]- so this replay is just "recapping" for an online skyrim journal i'm writing when i can...
i realized that in Riverwood, Faendal is the first Trainer/Follower you can exploit. I got my Archery upto rank 50 (@ lvl 10) before even going into Bleak Fall Barrows.

i don't know if anyone's noticed but- with the Dawnguard DLC, when as a werewoilf, you consume a heart- if you go back and cast Raise Dead on those corpses you get more Werewolf Perk Points. :D

my Khajiit likes to use Axes. maces are only good if you invest in the "excessive execution" perk- when Swords and Axes can decapitate people, maces smash thier heads in.

I found the slow time shout excellent for this kind of situation when I was lower level, where I would hide behind a pillar/corner, slow time, run in and around them, give them a backstab (or just shoot them) and retreat.

Suggestion that doesn't involve conjuration or destruction, as that's what you seem to be looking for. :-)

Definitely give mainland dragon riding a shot.  It's a wonky mini-game that has its cool moments as Deviant said.  Also if you bend a dragon's will without riding him, he'll lift off and patrol.  No need to kill them off unless you need souls.

I used dragon riding yesterday, its not bad but is there plans for some kind of mod to allow you to control the dragon? I would much prefer that.

You know I think I like using a mace.
You can pulverize things pretty easily with it.

With that in mind though i wonder why Dragonbone armor is so ugly. Please tell me there is a retex out there?

Several; use Dragonbone robes in Immersive Armors for one DB.
