So I totally finished Dragonborn off today.

It was really fun, with some puzzle dungeons, its epic battles (Miraak, Karstang, and such), and Apocrypha was simply amazing.
Mora was frightening and evil in a very chilling way.
I liked the new stuff added to. Like all the Morrowind stuff (Nostalgia!)

That being said the MQ is to short, but Neloth and Mora both make up for it.

I feel it should have been 15 dollars instead of 20...it felt a bit short for 20.

I agree that the MQ was brief, but for me this was an expansion of exploration. So many new areas, new encounters, new races, armors, etc. And Neloth dialogue is pure win! While I believe all DLC should be less expensive, I am very happy with the content.

HAHAHAHA! I beat Karstaag finally.

I brought Neloth's apprentice, the Dwemer Sphere, dropped a Werebear, and used my Dragon Aspect shout. On top of the Storm Atronach I kept summoning.

Beat me once shame on you.
Beat me twice again shame on me.
The third time I show up with an army and pulverize you so badly you will feel it for the next 10 centuries.

You know, I think I would join the Empire if they didn't have such crappy allies. A lot of the Jarl's they choose rub me the wrong way and I'm not really fond of the Battle-Borns. Sad thing is I agree with the Empire as far as the Thalmor are concerned but I just can't get myself to join them. Oh dilemmas.

I despise the Thalmor as well, any time I come across them in Skyrim I pick off the first two from a distance and then the one or two remaining I rain down upon them with fire and lighting spells! If their captor survives I set them free whether their StormCloaks or Imperials... I just dislike the elven scum.

Both sides have their idiot Jarls. The Stormcloaks have Korir the mage hater, Skald the Elder and Thongvor Silverblood who immediately after I killed Madanach said he would fill up Cidhna Mine, too bad I killed his brother. As for the Empire they have their scumbags like Siddgeir, Maven and then the useless Elisif.. Then there's Igmund and Laila Law-Giver, both of which I'm not real sure if either  is good or bad. Igmund or his father were involved in that massacre with innocent Bretons who weren't all Forsworn and Jarl Laila Law Giver seems a little too uninformed about her city's problems.

The only thing I did notice is that unlike the Empire, the Stormcloaks' jarls (except for Thongvor Silverblood maybe) do not seem to be corrupt at all, simply arrogant, foolish and somewhat racist.

I really wanted to shoot Siddgeir, or set him on fire. I do like (respect) Maven as a business woman, I imagine it's hard running a business franchise in an early medieval-ish setting, but I do not want her at all in the Jarlship posistion simply because that job should be all about helping the common man.

Seems I prefer racist pricks over corrupt ones, go figure. Both sides are arrogant as far as I'm concerned.

^ I haven't chosen a side, however I have completed the Dragonborn quests. Killed the assasin in the hut and hunted them down, became Archmage of Winterhold and refuse to do any thievs guild quests. I'd kill them too if the game would let me.

In a recent playthrough, my Orc DB released the Thalmor prisoner and gave him a Skyforge Steel dagger which he promptly used to kill the Justicar. I was so pleased!

I like the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood too much to ever kill them, I felt they had more personality than most. I tend to play Mage Thief/assassin types anyway.

I was a member of both guilds in Oblivion, and spent much of the game as a Vampire for carrying weight. However when I started Skyrim I wanted to play my character more based off the decisions I would make in real life rather than just doing it to do it because it was a video game. I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I could eliminate Astrid and the Dark Brotherhood instead of joining their ranks. I was saddened however that I could not kill Brynjolf and eliminate the thieves guild.

No matter how much I love to RP I could never ever kill Brynjolf. The thought of it breaks my heart. D:

To each his own but I couldn't do it.

He's a thief. But then again I never did any of his quests so I guess I don't know if he had an interesting character?

Psh, coin purses are so obvious. xD

Brynjolf has an excellent character, a pretty honest thief. I can see why others may not like him but I like a little grey in my characters.

Neloth has tons of content.  Keep going back to him, he always seems to have new things.

I really wish we had been able to talk more to Miraak.  I wanted to turn him but I guess he was just too far gone.

just spent the last 5 hours alone trying to kill miraak an im bone weary tired lol

the way i read it is he meant to kill the 2 dragons an absorb there souls to heal himself then kill the 3rd one you flew in on an absorb that.

1 he doesnt even kill any the dragons to absorb there souls
2 i thought i might be killing him to fast so i went the long route an punched him down, never worked either

Ive lost count on the number of reloads ive done now an im just tired lol, ive spent in total about 10 hours total just trying to do the main quest in dragonborn alone an all i have had is bug after bug after bug, ranging from not being able to activate things to put cubes in to dialogue not progressing.

really strange on my fast play through i had no bugs nothing everything worked fine, i dont know if cleaning dragonborn with tesedit has corrupted it or one of the mods has done something.

i prob play a few more hours try work something out but looks like the characters buggered or dragonborn uninstall an try save her that way

Recent favorite dialogue: *SPOILERS from the Reluctant Steward Quest*

Neloth: "Have you seen Varona? I'm hungry."

DB: "No, I haven't seen Varona:"

Neloth: "Well find her. Tell her I want apple cabbage stew, with some canis root tea."

DB options:

■Why don't you just make your own tea?: "What? Make my own tea? I am a master wizard of the house Telvanni. Other people make tea for me."

■Of course, Master Neloth. As you command: "Finally. Someone who recognises my importance around here."

■Hey, I'm not your servant: "Obviously not, or you would have a cup of tea in your hands. I supposed you want to be asked nicely. Very well. Please, oh hero of Skyrim. Please find Varona. I shall be ever so grateful."

lol - I chose the last one, and was smiling for a while.

Well, plus all the convenience of selling stuff to the network of Guild merchants and fences! And having 4 new merchants in one place is pretty nice as well (so when I hunt for a magic effect its that much easier).

I have recently restored the Thieves Guild to its former glory for the first time (already had 2 Guild Master characters, but without the sidequests) and boy, its great! Finally people with gold who can buy some stuff off you! Merchants for all the potions and Banishing weapons I make. Now I regret not doing this earlier... Still have to travel a bit to sell stuff... but far, far less so its much more bearable! Sure I had to grind the guild assignments a bit to do it, but it was totally worth it! Plus the 4 unique town influence quests were pretty cool too.

The Thieves Guild, with all the merchants, fences, town influence quests, the Nocturnal and Nightingale mysticism, is my favourite guild, by far.

P.S. I recently started playing Dawnguard and made me an Enhanced Dwarven Crossbow.... I love that thing already! Sure it's maybe less quiet then a bow.... but it packs a serious punch! I like the trajectory and speed much more! Also shooting the crossbow seems to be much less stamina-consuming, you hardly need any, whereas you need lots for a bow. Somehow I stumbled into the whole Aetherium Forge side arc and have 3 parts of the key already, so I guess I'll finish that first, before proceeding with the Dawnguard mainquest.
Maybe I'll fall to the dark side and become a vampire, seeing how I'm playing a mage-assasin with a strong focus in Illusion, Stealth and archery. Not decided yet.

Then Solstheim is waiting... so little time, so much to do...

Well it's true. (No disrespect to any Christian Scientists out there.)

Actually theology would probably be another.

@Haplose: Thieves Guild is my favorite too but by the gods getting back to top notch shape is tedious. I like the Dark Brotherhood for the characters, oh how I miss Festus.

I'm going to join Dawnguard with my werewolf character that I just made last night. I kind of wish there was a third option since Dawnguard is like the Vampire-y Silver Hand but alas.

My main character went Vampire Lord all the way, I've loved vampires since I was six, (Thank you Bela Lugosi <3)

Well, over the weekend, I became Arch Mage, got married, went through Shalidor's Maze (first time), visited several dungeons I hadn't been to in a looong time, and worked on honing my magic skills (Alteration, Conjuration, and Illusion, specifically). Is it bad that I just cast spells and let my follower or atronach do all the work? Heh.

Anyway, I got Alteration up to 90, and just started on the Mastery quest - for the first time, in any playthrough. It's crazy that out of all of the Mastery spells, Conjuration is the only one I've completed thus far. I'm thinking this might be the playthrough where I complete all of them (unless the Restoration one is still hosed).

So now I'm in Volskygge, getting Kahvozein's Fang to cut off dragon heart scales. I've got Mjoll with me, and so far, we're slicing through enemies like butter.

Total side note, but did anyone catch the premiere of Vikings last night on the History channel? It so reminded me of Skyrim - especially the aurora borealis, and some of the mannerisms.

I was surprised just how much of Viking culture existed in Skyrim.
Kind of awesome really.

Wish they made the Mastery Spells at least somewhat usefull though. As things are, it's a lot of work for nothing - because pretty much all Expert spells are better. Well maybe except Conjuration. Alteration would be good... but the short duration really kills utility.

Recently revisted my original character, the Orc. Ran around clobbering necromancers. Good times.
