So far the DLC has not tied into one another that much.

I would love some deeper metaphysics going on.
But I doubt Bethesda really will go that for.

I dunno; I could totally see Bethesda blowing our minds. People don't give them enough credit for their writing and lore, which is superb, btw.

If I am a fangirl, so be it.

It does leave me wondering, what next? If only I could be a fly on the wall in their studio.

But seriously, with the Redguard name being registered (for whatever it is they're planning), and all the loose ends, I can't even imagine where they're going to go with the story.

Hopefully they produce a foe that is actually a challenge.
Miraak and Harkon had fun boss batles ...but they were to easy

Bethesda is not the best at boss battles.
I mean Mercer Frey? One shout and off he went ass over boots into a pillar and to his death.
Rather amusing way to die really.

I'm trying to adopt a kid now. Seem to be having an issue. Think I need to build him a dresser or something before I can get him to the house.

^ Do you have enough beds for everyone? I think that's the main requirement - you have to have kids beds available.

If that's not it, are you getting some kind of message, or what's happening? Who are you trying to adopt?

Turns out he needed a wardrobe or chest. I finished up the that and now it's a full house after adopting him.

Oh, right. They do like to have chests. I never even think about that, since I build every single piece of furniture in each house before adopting. I'm absolutely crazy retentive that way.

Who did you end up adopting?

Blaise from the farm near Solitude. The dialogue between you and the child is actually pretty awesome. And building the house was a lot of fun. Hearthfire really surprised me.

You buy them at general goods vendors usually in big cities like WIndhelm or Markarth.  They are under the Misc. tree.  This is where you can buy Straw, Goat Horns, Bear Pelts, Goat Pelts and other hard to acquire items.  

Enjoy the bugs.

I still wish Hearthfire had let you buy and construct an entire fort or castle.
Or build your own little community.

I mean it would have been fun to have your own little village to run and stuff to decide.
Okay maybe I played to much Neverwinter Nights I guess.

I was kind of bummed that they dont mention that the Nerevarine help to found the original city of Raven Rock though.

I see some threads forming.  The Dragonborn's fate is probably going to be darker than we're used to.  Though for that matter the other heroes' exploits had some pretty horrific unforeseen consequences.  But look who we're dealing with here- Molag Bal, and Hermaeus Mora.  In Dawnguard you can oppose the vampires, but probably Bal wouldn't mind, since the Dawnguard just feeds the fear of vampires which makes their power more tempting for the so inclined.  Or, if they go with their past behavior, they started falsely accusing people of vampirism and that led to a long free rein for the vampires.

The DB himself is vampiric.  You suck life out of dragons.  For this idea I have to credit the crazy Marukhati roleplayer on the lore forum (who apparently was an old time lore geek who's been permabanned from BGS forum but occasionally shows up with new alts to post lore-thematic stuff before he gets booted again).

Paarthurnax himself, and Arngeir, warn you that casting Alduin back on the currents of time is a dangerous thing to do.  When the Marukhati Selective broke the dragon, Tamriel was lost for a millennium.  What if, for example, our Dragonborn thinks he/she is opposing the Thalmor, but is actually setting up the conditions where the Thalmor's "unmake Mundus" plan has a shot at succeeding?

Bethesda does enjoy having its recent PCs causing disaster do they not?

However I think that the Dragonborn will end up in conflict with Mora, since he showed up in the main quest, and in a DLC.
At this point who knows really?

I have to start over completely so it will be a while before I care.

*correction* Ever since the game Morrowind launched, today was the first time i've read all the volumes of "The Mystery of Talara," and it was surprisingly a good read. I love Bethesda's ability to integrate, and diversify the fictional, and non fictional lore in their games.

I dont know why people claim it is.

It is not like joining Caesar`s Legion or something.

God some people just cant accept that not everyone does the same choices the do.

only did civil war once and i pickd the empire,  found it a hard choice though for some reason, not to found of these thalmer think you call them though, think it was the book i found in there embassy on ulfric that tipped the scales, i dont know much about anything though tbh being pretty new

I've played through the civil war twice, once for each side.  I have real issues with both sides -- it's not an easy decision.  And with both, I felt unsatisfied with my choice, though I did feel better about taking the Empire's side for a few reasons -- mainly because I felt Skyrim was better protected with the empire at its back rather than isolated.  

All other games, I just ignored the civil war.

I think joining the Empire is the best bet, it seems to me that for the moment they're the only other faction that presents a threat to the Thalmor. Sure the Empire is a shadow of its former self, it is corrupt and it is dying but in my opinion it should survive long enough to stop the Thalmor, it can die after that for all I care. Ulfric is a Thalmor pawn whether he knows it or not, he has some good ideas but in the end, no matter how much he hates the Thalmor he is indirectly doing what they want.

The other thing about the Empire that I like a lot is General Tullius, him and Rikke are one of the reasons why I like the Empire better. They have proven, at least to me that they are not like the other scumbags that the Empire has at its service, they want to do something about the problems. As for the Emperor, I guess not much can be said about him but from what was described from the battle of the red ring and how he behaves in the Dark Brotherhood quest, he does not seem like a coward to me.
