Sorry to be a bother again, but a friend suggested I try an Argonian mage as it would be something different. I have a High Elf Conjurer at level 37 and found it enjoyable. Would an Argonian be possible? His bonuses don't seem like much, but Histskin sounds awesome.

Honestly, in the long run your racial bonuses and abilities hardly matter at all. They just make things easier at the start.

Heck, thanks to Berserk, Orcs are probably the best for everything .

Defending Whiterun was pretty fun.

Poor mooks got grinded into an arrow trap though.
Hopefully I dont get that stupid glitch.

The Jarl's got replaced but, did not leave their city, nor did the new Jarls move in.
Wonder why....

I finished Tomb Raider over the weekend, and returned to the loving embrace of Skyrim.

So, where was I...oh yeah, I decided to finally do the Civil War questline a second time. I mean, I did the first run over a year ago, and sided with the Stormcloaks. This time, I decided to side with the Legion.

It was an eventful night - first, my character had to clear out a fort for Legate Rikke, and somehow found herself beheaded. Oh, the shame! Before getting to the fort, Mjoll and my Dunmer took out an Elder Dragon, some bandits, a frost troll, and some ice wraiths. I hadn't saved, so I had to reload and start over from the fast travel point. This time, there was no dragon, ice wraiths, or a frost troll. Just some vampires.

After clearing the fort, which is quite a feat while wearing only mage robes, we retrieved the Jagged Crown. It looks awful on my Dunmer, btw. And that's where I left off.

I finally got Alteration maxed, so I think I'm going to switch over to armor. But which kind...? Crap, it's always hard to decide. I may just go with heavy for the Nordic Carved armor. I mean, it's obviously popular with the cool kids, as nearly every Bandit Chief is wearing it lately.

Oh, but back to the Civil War. Should I kill the Emperor before or after finishing this up? Image IPB

I still kill the DB...I did the story and found it not to my liking.
It was fun, but it was more fun wiping them out.

Shame that you cant get Cicero or Babette though, I bet they did not let you kill them so that they could kill the Emperor. No matter what I think Titus Mede II bites it in the end.

I just RP that my current PC destroys other criminals so that the Thieves Guild can assume more power.
With the war done soon, I will see just how much power I can assume.

Which is strange because I am antagonizing the Thalmor so much.
I wonder if they would demand the Empire hands over their best Legate?

I really want an anti-Thalmor DLC right now, just so we can bop them in the nose again.

So I can't remember...if I side with the Legion/Empire, will they look poorly upon me attacking Thalmor out in the wilds? Hmm.

Honestly, I don't think my Dunmer really gives a hoot. She's my least "moral" DB to date. She's not bad per se, but her conscience seems to be a little off-kilter.

Strangely, though, I haven't seen any Thalmor out in the wild in quite some time. Probably at least 30-40 game hours.

You can sometimes get a bounty for attacking Thalmor patrols, if you're within sight of town guards. Damn faithless imperials. That only happened if I attacked them outright, not if you provoke them to attack you.

(actually I think SC guards will give you a bounty too, which makes zero sense)

Yeah, that doesn't make much sense. Ahh, well.

Now I just need to wait for them to actually show up somewhere. Maybe I'll take the fight to them at Northwatch Keep. I've been wanting to boost my Illusion skills, anyway.

OMG, I completely forgot to recruit Teldryn Sero. That will be first item on my agenda tonight.

I've reinstalled Skyrim three times and all the mods that I used because I'd get CTD's almost every time I played. And only now I figured out it was because ENB's don't like it when you run MSI Afterburner while playing.

F*ck this game!

It's the game's fault because your mods aren't compatible with your souped up overclocking.  Mm hmm.

Well, I can't blame my stupidity on myself.
That would be the mature thing to do, and I can't have that.

Huh.

I did not know you could blackmail Jon battleborn into helping you during Missing in Action.
If you pickpocket his letter from Olfina he runs to get evidence for you like his ass was on fire.

That was actually rather funny.

i read that earlier an was left scratching my head saying wtf, i go in game play away doing my usual an forget i read it, stumble across some fort with i think bandits in it or maybe forsworn i think, i was like right take these buggers out, turns out there was lot more than i realised an i got my very first beheading of my character.

I was shocked, i was horrified but most of all i went "BY GOD THATS AWESOME"

this game is doing weird things to me, or its bringing the more weirdo stuff out in me lol

You've never been beheaded? It's trippy, isn't it!? I'd consider it a rite of passage. Image IPB

Honestly, it's been a looong time for me, and I'd forgotten it could even happen. The moment right before it is weird - it's like when you get snatched up by a dragon, and spat out - you can't do diddly to get out of the way, cast spells, do a Hail Mary, nothing. I'd just gulped a potion down, to no avail. I guess dead really is dead. Hehe.

No it was a bug.

The Jarl's who had their holds taken would not leave, so I had to restart.
Turns out that it was because of Dragonborn DLC breaking the mods that make NPCs run from Dragons and Vampires. Ah well I wanted to start over.

You know...as much as I think Maven is a tremendous rat I think she is a better Jarl then Laila Derp-Giver.

Sure she is scum and a criminal.
However I think she can probably make the town actually run.

Probably by killing lots of people and being very immoral, but what can you do?

Most of the Jarls are idiots anyway. The only ones that seem to know what they're doing are Bulgruuf and the one in Morthal. Most of them are just puppets for someone or something else.

Speaking of Jarls, I finished up the Civil War questline last night, where I sided with the Imperials for the first time. Geez, I don't remember having to clear all those forts on the Stormcloaks side, but maybe I've just forgotten. I felt like that's all we did was go to one fort, clear it out; go to the next, clear it out. Dang.

I had to blackmail Aneuriel (as Giggles says, Laila Derp-Giver's Steward), about being in the Thieves Guild. That was awkward, since I'm in the TG. And all that talk about the Emperor - yeah, he's going to die soon, suckas. Strangely, I didn't even feel all that bad about killing Ulfric myself. My Dunmer really is not good. Hehe.

Oh! And I recruited Teldryn Sero finally, and ran round wreaking havoc with him last night. He's got some moves, I'll give him that! And he says some pretty cool stuff. I keep missing it, though. Other NPCs need to shut the bleep up while he's talking!

I was so inspired by Teldryn that I actually made my Dunmer some light Chitin armor. And she looks good in it. Yay!
