All off those politicians who owe you favors is funny.
Mostly seeing Jarl Ingrod going nutty was fun.

Or as I understand, agree to some quest from them and they allow one to take much of their stock as a reward. This may require confirmation, as I am not one that dabbles in the Alchemy skill.

I dont think you can really RP a Thalmor in SKyrim, anymore then you could RP an Enclave character in Fallout 3.Joy Divison wrote...
Is there any way you can roleplay this game as a Thalmor? Aside from helping Ondolemar in Markarth (has anyone actually done this? I've played this game over 1000 hours and have not), what's a would be Thalmor DB to do?
The story makes both groups the villians and to many quests are focused around opposing them.
Kinda like FONV too, sure you can help the Legion but the VAST amount of quests were to aid the NCR, House, or Independants of Vegas.
Besides they made such wonderful shooting galleries for me and Boone.

Yes, but you would not be accepted by the Thalmor in Skyrim. Play it as an agent sent to oversee the Thalmor dealings, and perform each quest with the grand design as a theme. In this way, you deal with all sides as one making major decisions. Eliminate Thalmor that lessen goals or make things more difficult; same with others (eg; Blades) as well as possible. If you cannot kill them, then use humiliation or weaken the violators as best as the mechanics allow.
Simply accept the lack of recognition as a badge or seal of a job well done.

However, I haven't started the main quest with her yet, and I think I will eventually have to because I don't think you can start the Battle for Whiterun until you have at least finished Dragon Rising (Balgruuf holds onto Ulfric's axe until after you slay the first dragon at the tower). I was planning on role-playing her as a non-Dragonborn character, but I do want to finish the Civil War questline with her.

^ May I suggest you do not complete the Civil War quest, and allow the battles to continue as the hidden docs suggests? As the game mentions, both the Thalmor and Alduin benefit from this, though eventually stopping Alduin is needed. The temporary truce seems best for this, as it all goes back to battles afterwards, I believe.
Ah yes, you're right, it's better to let the Civil War continue with this character. Thankfully I've haven't started the CW quest with this character yet.

For $50 + shipping, I kind of expected a frame and a nail to hang it up.Captain Crash wrote...

I must have that lithograph. I just lack $50 and a wall. Obstacles...
Out of stock! That went fast!
Even more glad I nabbed one now  Fortunatley I already have a frame. If you want to hang it you need a descent frame setting you back even more then the litho and then you need to border it.
Its an expensive task.

Not authentically, no. You can nab yourself some Thalmor robes and hood and wear them around town, but unfortunately (and unlike Other faction costumes ie. Stormcloak armor and Imperial armor) the citizenry won't comment about it.Joy Divison wrote...

There are people who have mentioned earlier in this thread (probably a few months ago) that they created characters who were Thalmor double-agents, working to create stife in Skyrim without anyone from the Thalmor branches in the mainland region knowing about their true identity. I believe it was mostly headcanon, since the game doesn't give you any real opportunity to side with the Thalmor (aside from the single example you cited with Ondolemar in Markarth, as well as the single quest in Dragonborn), as Giggles and Elhanan have noted.

Well, assuming you choose to avoid the bounties incurred from killing "everyone in sight". Most city commoners don't drop much in the way of gold and sellable loot.Ballistic Rebel wrote...

The quickest way to make money is to 1) make potions then sell them 2) clear out dungeons.

Do the Thieves Guild, and finish the Stones of Barenziah questline.
With so many fences who have money, and so many jewels you make a lot of money very quickly.
Plus you have more jewels then even God himself.
