Hmmm. That's odd. It keeps telling me I requested an invalid category.

I think he'll play a role in the Dragonborn's ultimate fate, but judging from past games I would say he will be one of two influences.

I've only played Oblivion so I don't know if this holds up in TES III, but as far as Oblivion goes- you mantle Pelinal Whitestrake, go mad, and then quite appropriately become the mad god.

In TESV, you subvert the All-Maker's secrets (Alduin's secrets?) to Hermaeus Mora, then...?  The only thing I can think that fits is that you may weaken the Mannish aspects of Aka so much that you are unwittingly forcing him back into his Auriel guise.  In Dawnguard you'll also have revealed his shrines again, and eliminated a challenge to his priest, possibly his avatar- Knight Paladin Gelebor.  If this is where it's going, it's ominous in terms of what it means for the Dominion potentially becoming the dominant power in the continent. So it's possible that the two powers here are Mora and a representative of Auriel.  Is there another elven champion (besides Umaril the Unfeathered which was defeated in KoTN) that could be part of a new DLC?

It would be quite awesome if Hermaeus Mora appeared once again in the next DLC, he'd be an interesting enemy or ally. I hope they do this with him, like Obsidian did with Ulysses.

Took a break from Skyrim (playing The Walkiing Dead. Love that game!) and am now ready for Dragonborn. :D

I went to play New Vegas, unfortunately it took me  a while to get it working with mods, everything is incompatible when it comes to mods with that game. Had to use FNVedit to fix a lot of things and tools like BOSS and Wrye Flash are underdeveloped when it comes to Fallout, making it all that much harder.

I think the Apprentice from Battlespire died, the Nerevarine disappeared, and the Champion achieved apotheosis as the new Madgod, so the fate of the Dragonborn could be anything. I'm curious to see what potential fates may await the new Ysmir.

You know I doubt Bethesda will go that deep into their lore for DLC, they may but probably not.

Why do you doubt that?  They did it with TES IV, arguably the shallowest of the games I suppose, and yet with the DLC taken together it makes quite a compelling story.

If you try doing all you can you basically are like a divine boot meant to kick all those threats down.
A threat rises and the Dragonborn squashes it.

But past heroes have actually set the stage for greater disasters.  The Nerevarine inadvertently brings about Red Year.  CoC helps to inadvertently destroy the Alessian pact and the Septim dynasty, allowing the An-Xileel and Thalmor to rise to power.

Even though bad things resulted from the heroes actions, they prevented WORSE things from happening.

As bad as the Red Year, and Thalmor were and are, Dagoth Ur and Mehrunes Dagon running around would be WORSE.

The Thalmor will probably be the focus of the next game though, not a DLC enemy.

I'm not saying the DLC will introduce a new big bad. I'm saying I don't think HM is going to figure again, at least directly, rather it will be something else. And, I'm saying that I think all the DLCs are leading up to something in the way of a return to a Mer-centric hegemony in Tamriel, with Aka being forced back into his Auriel skin.

The Empire is probably going to collapse.

I really hope the next DLC touches upon the Thalmor and their plans.

So I got to thinking, what with TES Online in the works, what would happen if an Elder Scrolls game had coop?

See, I'm really not a fan of MMOs. Too little focus on your character, and too many features of games are sacrificed to maintain the large numbers of players. But could you do a "small" version of an MMO? Basically, I'm seeing it as being pretty much the same as what Skyrim is, but all across Tamriel and with drop-in/out coop of, I dunno, 100 players maybe? Enough to be able to have factions and, with the help of NPCs, large scale battles and dungeon raids.

TESO just seems too big to be a proper Elder Scrolls game, but I'm not against coop.

On a side note, the next ES game should focus on the war between the Empire and Dominion, preferably set on the front lines, which I think would be Elsweyr, yes?

If the two concepts (single player and MMO) have to co-exist within the Elder Scrolls IP,  then I'd rather they remain strictly pure, and not bleed into one another conceptually. That is to say, keep the MMO massively multiplayer, and keep the single player titles.... single player...completely. Nothing can be gained by creating a Skyrim with 100 dovakiins running around and raiding the countryside (or whatever gets people off in MMOs). Likewise, trying to make an ES MMO is already  a huge gamble, they'd only be  going deeper against the odds by  making it anything less than   massively multiplayer..

You know I think I will try to put every book I can into the Library wing in Hearthfire.

I am noticing that I am using Hearthfire homes as my main base in most games now.
I kinda like them more then most other homes.

^ I noticed myself doing that as well, and in my most recent playthrough, I built a library wing, and started doing the same thing. It gets difficult keeping track of which books you already have, and what you're missing, and which books are in which bookcase. I haven't worked out a good system for that, yet.

I do wish that there was a shelf somewhere in the Hearthfire houses where you could actually put something other than books on - I always get the bug jars, and have nowhere to put them.

Since i started to play Skyrim again after a long hiatus i've also been using my Hearthfire home like a base. I've always collected books but never really had a good place to put them all so now with my home that got the libary wing i finally have something that at least look somewhat like a libary, only need more books!

Yeah, the Hearthfire homes are definitely my main houses now. Unfortunately, for whatever reason the game freezes up whenever I enter Lakeview Manor, so I'm limited to the other two homes.

I've started collecting books, too. On the topic of organizing, I always separate notes/pieces of paper from actual books. I think I might have to go put them in alphabetical order, though...

It's not difficult to imagine why. You put a lot of effort into building the homes, and determine what you want inside the home. The Hearthfire homes have a lot of room to keep your things fairly well organized (more so than any other standard home in the Holds), and the new homes provide an easy means of smithing items in the basement (as opposed to the homes in the Holds which don't afford the protagonist that opportunity).

Speaking personally, I kept all my new stuff in my new home. Mostly kept to the home where my children lived, where I fought invading Giants or annoying bandits, and had my adopted children calling me "Papa!" all the time. The Hearthfire homes are really nice, but I'm annoyed that Valdimar never appeared for any of my characters when they were already Thane of Morthal - I'm trying new runs and will download Hearthfire again prior to become Thane of Morthal to see if that fixes the issue.

^ That's unfortunate - he's pretty awesome. I assume you already went into the keep? Not sure if you have to or not, for him to spawn.

I was able to get the two other Housecarls perfectly fine. I'm going to see if I can get him on my new run prior to loading Hearthfire, and prior to becoming the Thane of Morthal. Starting off with a Telvanni Wizard-Lord.

Apparently, the next Elder Scrolls will be TES VI: Akavir. The Akavari races Kamal, Tsaesci, Tang Mo, Ka Po' Tun, Sload, and Maormer will be available for the player. The starting location will vary depending on the race of the character.

I agree, but I'm fundamentally anti-social in my gaming time and selfishly don't want any zots spent on a feature I'd never use.

While I would love to see Akavir, today is April 1.

For LVM to stop freezing remove the workbench when you're finished furnishing a room.

Good to know. I think I'll just buy the rest of the furnishings, since I haven't been able to finish up what with the freezing and all. Thanks for letting me know.

I got a new nickname at school.
"Billy Graham of Skyrim" or just Billy G.

I got a fifth person at school hooked on the game, or on the DLC.

My friends I dont convert people I merely open their eyes to Skyrim and let the game do the rest.
I should get a free tshirt at the very least with so many friends referred.

Heh Billy G.

I streamed the game live when it was new, and most of the people watching bought it after seeing me play a new character to Riverwood and do the few quests there. Other than that I influenced my brother to get it.

Taking a break from Skyrim atm due to heavy work schedule and desire to play other games.

You know, given the Telvanni penchant for keeping Daedric artifacts, I realized that my character probably wouldn't give up the Skeleton Key to Nocturnal.

After hearing Karliah talk about how the Skeleton Key could be utilized to open any door and to unlock your full potential (and perhaps even manipulate reality and people - given the events of the latter portion of the Thieves Guild Questline), I doubt many Telvanni would surrender the artifact.
