I guess it's either Breton or Dunmer Spellsword.
Seems like you need either good bow skill or spells to fight these dragons anyway....
Hopefully we will finally be able to distinguish between Bretons and Imperials.

Don't mind using a bow, Besides with the damage multiplier you get with sneak a bow can be very deadly.
Sure it can. But Magicka offers much more variety in its effects.

Isn't this like the 7th time you've said you're going to be a pure mage?sympathy4saren wrote...
I'm going to be either a Nord, Argonian, or Khajiit pure mage. A few maces and shortswords, but very minimal and only when silenced or its an advantage in battle. I'll do everything I can to uphold that role. Still waiting to see what Bretons look like, though, before I make a choice, but a Breton mage....to cliche in a way.
Really strongly looking at Argonians. The Argonian mage in the one pic looked disgustingly good.

Companions can be given commands now, allowing you to order them to attack a particular enemy, amongst other things. However, we are limited to one companion now.

Well that is true there. it does in the right situations. But with stealth and a decent bow and arrows you can be a virtual killing machine. Especially if your sneak and markmanship are high.
Now if they system is going to be similar to what it is in Oblivian I know that i won't be making marksman or sneak man skills as I use them to much.<LOL>
@Elamor I'm the same wasy as you I love using sneak. Now when I can get high enough to make my own stuff I think I'll make a very light weight set of chameleon armor. Perfect for a thief or assassin.

I'll stick with a dog unless I can bring whoever I fall in love with me. I'm sure removing companion restrictions will be one of the first mods created but I'll probably stick with "vanilla" rules.

I'm pretty sure only one entity, so you can either have one dog or one human companion at a time.

Do you know if they die or get knocked unconscious?

It hasn't been stated either way. If I remember correctly, Todd Howard has stated that unkillable NPC's are returning, but they aren't used as much as in Oblivion. I would assume you can get a few unkillable companions, but most will likely be killable.

Damn, no companions for me then. Absolutely loathe escorting npcs who perma-die.
I couldn't agree with you more on this here. It's to hard to keep track of them especially in the heat of battle.

I'm also pretty interested in how the player character is a dragon-born. The last of them died at the end of TES IV.

I don't have enough information to say either way. But from what I've heard, the attributes are gone in Skyrim. So at least this major incentive for slow, efficient levelling would be gone. Perhaps it will actually be worth it to tag the skills you actually like this time around.

Yes, that's very doable. But I think I wouldn't advise this. The moment you get full Chameleon, the game looses any challenge and entertainment value and becomes very, very boring, as nothing can touch you.

Well yes I imagine that it would get boring if you wore full chameleon armor all the time; which I wouldn't do. You see I like a bit of a challange and would only where it at times where I had to be un-seen like doing while stealling things while working for the thievees or the assasins. Other than that I wouldn't wear it. Besides I'm almost at journyman marksman so I do pretty good with a bow now as it is.
As far as what can and can't be created in the game by the player I"ve yet to get that far to find out. So far I've just got the mages reccomendation quests and allot of the misc quest done. Haven't touched even half of the game yet.<LOL> didn't realize when I bought it that it was such an in depth game.

I always liked the Nords, so I'm glad this one is set in Skyrim. I remember when playing Oblivion, it listed a few blurbs on Nord magic and the emphasis placed on the magical power in their voices. I thought it was pretty cool how the trailer showed us keeping to the established lore.

The septims were a line of dragonborn, the blades once protected all dragonborn but eventually just became the emperors bodyguards. (i think thats what they said, dont quote me on that though)

They've always been bodyguards, but also carried spywork for the Empire. The Blades were formed from Reman's Akaviri guardsmen.
Dragonborn I think has never been stuck to a single dynasty. I'd say the Paravant Alessia and her heirs, Reman the Cyrodiil, or the Ayleid overlords of White-Gold who wore Chim-El Adabal were Dragonborn, even if they weren't documented to practice the Thu'um.
