Hopefully I'll be able to start a Redguard playthrough this weekend.

I have a Skyrim query... why is there SO MUCH misinformation and B.S. about the dwemer lexicon?? I just finished the quest where you go to the Irkngthand dungeon and that Katria chick's ghost helps you ..and then bails. I looked up the quest on the skyrim forums, there is two or three different walkthroughs!?!? WTF!??

:(

Edit: I left with the lexicon, Was that a mistake? I am so lost on this one...

Well, part of the confusion here is that you're mixing up 3 different Dwemer quests. lol

First,  Irknghand is a dungeon you can only enter  when doing the theives guild quest for it  (Blindsided, or some such).  There's no Lexicon involved with that one.

Second,  Katria's Ghost is part of Aetherium Wars questline, and you meet her in Arkngthamz.  There's no Lexicon involved with that one either.  Just Atherium shards, which you're supposed to collect.  You'll meet up with Katria's ghost again as you collect more shards from different dwemer ruins.

Lastly, The Lexicon is part of the Unfathomable Depths quest.  And to start that quest, an Argonian in Riften gives you that lexicon and tells you to return it to Avanchnzel.  To complete that quest, simply take the lexicon  to Avanchnzel, and do that dungeon to  its last room, where you'll find a giant pedestal.  Place the lexicon on that pedestal.

Hope that helps

There's also a Lexicon involved for Discerning the Transmundane.  Do you remember how you got it?

The dragons must love the Mythic Dawn. While on my way to the museum in Dawnstar, I was greeted by two dragons. So, after slaying those I went to retrieve one of the shards. There too I was greeted by a dragon. However, he died at a very unhandy location: On the doorstep of the house where I needed to break in. Now the whole town is watching the dead dragon in front of the house. I think I need to delay that one. :P

Nah. Never kill any quest givers before completing their quests. ;)

Anyone else finding it kinda hard to keep playing Skyrim?

I mean once you literally have done everything, a lot of the fun is gone.
I cant really complain though I got around 700 hours out of the game.

Pretty good for the around 80 bucks I put into the whole thing.

There's a ton of little assignments I haven't completed, and I never did finish Saadia's quest with the Alik'r warriors looking for her.

I should do that...eventually.

Yeah, I'm pretty much done. The dragonborn is the lamest ES hero and I just don't want to play anymore. Partly a factor of exhaustion with the game in a good sense, partly disillusionment with the story arc which seems to have gone nowhere.

I take breaks more often now, but it is not the fault of the game. My play style is geared towards stories and linear progression as a rule, so I drift towards doing quests in the same general order. And I avoid inclusions that are simply unattractive to me personally (eg; Alchemy, eating human flesh, etc)., so this limits builds and quests.

That said, when I discover a way to regenerate my interest, it seems to lead to another playthrough, as long as I manage to keep my goals in sight; not on the many things already done.

@ Yandros - Found an Ebony greatsword in the Horn of JW quest at 20th during my current run, so it is possible to locate greater treasures occasionally. Thankfully!

Well I've taken a long break from it, plus there are a few mods I want to play once I get my rig built next month (hopefully). I'm sure that will help me milk another 200-400 hours out of it.

OT: I love Skyrim, I dabbled in Oblivion but Skyrim is off the CHAIN! I leave it and come back to it, roleplay it and sometimes blow off real-life social life stuff for it... just like the best RPGs from back in the day :)

Halfway through my final playthrough. After that I should get to finishing Morrowind and Bloodmoon, only done a quarter of Morrowind's main quest. I must say I'm also disillusioned with how the story arcs were unresolved and as a retrospective, the DLC's honestly weren't that good mostly, the only good one was Dragonborn. But I enjoyed the game, and I'm hoping for something like Fallout 4 in the future, and of course Elder Scrolls 6

I enjoyed Dawnguard more than Dragonborn. Once you get over the new atmosphere and pretty new map areas, Dragonborn is.... hollow.

Yeah, Dawnguard was top for me. So much good came out of that DLC.

Dawnguard gave me a cute Vampire sidekick, crossbows, and a werewolf skill tree.

I haven't played Dragonborn, but I doubt it can beat that.

Dawnguard gave me that same amazing sidekick, crossbows, and a few absolutely BEAUTIFUL new areas to explore.

Well, at least Skyrim 'DLCs' are more like expansions. You don't usually get DLC that last over 15 hours.

I wonder how much longer this thread will last?

With no more DLC coming I dont give it very long.
Ah well it was fun while it lasted.

I'm a little sad to admit that I haven't played Skyrim in some time, and now that there will be no hope of new DLC, I think I'm done, myself. It was fun while it lasted.

I will probably revisit it later for nostalgia's sake, but for now, I've moved on to other things.

I'm currently playing Defiance, and am looking forward to Remember Me (6/4) and The Last of Us (6/14). And wow, Dead Island Riptide and Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen are out tomorrow, already! Busy, busy, busy!

I got wrapped up in a replay of The Witcher, a game that grabs me and doesn't let go, so I won't be playing Skyrim until I finish this game, at the very least. I love Skyrim, and Elder Scrolls games in general, but I'm not always in the mood for a sandbox gameworld. I keep shooters, adventure games, certain RTS, and linear/story-driven RPGs on hand for when I'm in other moods.

...Welp. After 437 hours, I'm somewhat done with it. Gonna play Skyrim from time to time (as I do with all games, really, a gradual stop) until the next Fallout.

Then it starts all over again. Ah, Bethesda. <3
