I do hope the new consoles kick ass. If they do then the ports to the PC are likely to be of better quality.LPPrince wrote...

And Skyrim doesn't have this?Lazengan wrote...
I happen to play games for gameplay
if I wanted a story I would read a book. I guess Skyrim does offer a fantasy world simulator that most other games do not showcase
ironically, Skyrim has better storytelling than Dragon Age since it's told through gameplay, but Dragon age has better combat than Skyrim

Speaking of stunning visuals, this is one of my favorite shots from my games:
Dragon over Bleak Falls Barrow with an Aurora as a backdrop.
Where are all these Auroras? I don't remember any of them.

It's "Towns and Villages Enhanced: Whiterun". I also have those installed for the other towns and villages.Barbarossa2010 wrote...
Yeah, that's rich. Is that "Beautiful Whiterun", "Pines of Whiterun" or another?
Yep, he's back!legion999 wrote...
PS Is GreenGoron back? I'm sure I saw him post several pages back.
They seem random. You could stand out by the stables at Whiterun at night, and watch the sky for a while, and eventually, there would be an aurora borealis. I've seen many right outside Markarth. I always liked standing right in front of the door of Vlindrel Hall, watching them, as it was a great view.legion999 wrote...

I am the wrong person to ask about frame rate penalties. I am using V-sync and I have an above average and overclocked machine. So I never noticed any frame rate drops.Barbarossa2010 wrote...
Been wanting to add some good landscape mods on again. I dropped some a while back to clean up my game, since I was having a glitch show up from time to time. I always had an issue in Riverwood for some reason (game would freeze upon entry), and I isolated it down to whatever Riverwood enhancement mod I had on at the time.
Do you see any lag or frame rate drop when walking through the wilds with these on?
I have maxed out my settings. I did it to see people and patrols in the distance (character fade--which led to everything else fade), since I have "More NPCs in the Wild" and was getting tired of being jumped.
Ghehe. It really is a nice mod. It just adds detail and doesn't interfere with gameplay.LPPrince wrote...
See, now thats a mod I wish the Glorious Console Master Race could use, I'd definitely have that on.AngryFrozenWater wrote...
