You know full well  (or maybe not) but the rest of us do, that Skyrim is Nordic based, and its lore   matter-of-factly implies a primitive setting.  You know.... a setting where your   average nord warrior will NOT look like a model straight off the cover of Playboy, or Cosmo or some other  modern-day magazine.

The fact that we've got a massive fan base that wants to mix a  little   Playboy  centerfold with his/her Nord setting does not logically imply that Skyrim is a bad game, especially since it's   the game  itself that actually ALLOWS  you to do  duch a thing if you wish!

Nevermind the fact that the engine has nothing to do with any of this.  it's the Artstyle that people are changing.  Not the engine.  And good luck finding  people who argue that Skyrim's artstyle is anything less than  incredibly great.

I get it you're mad that I insulted your favourite game. Do you know anything about game design to begin with? Keep in mind that I still like Skyrim, just for different reasons

Idk about you but I want fallout 4 to be a good game, and I hope by giving bethesda criticism to work on, they can apply lessons learnt from Skyrim.

Well anyway, having not started a new character in a really long time, I couldn't help but notice the greater difficulty in leveling the core skills I'm working on: smithing, enchanting, lock picking, speech, one-hand and blocking. I mean, it's no joke, you really have to work these unlike before. A welcome change.

Yeah, that's exactly what's happening!  Anyone who's read the last 1000 pages of this thread can clearly see that no criticism at all has ever been allowed, and those who dared  to spout it were instantly disrespected.

Straw man.     It wasn't 10  pages ago where I bashed   Dragonborn as a hollow DLC.  But no one attacked me.  No one called me a troll.  No one "dismissed" me.  Maybe you  should ask  around...  try and figure out why some criticism succeeds while some  (like yours)   gets a big, giant Fail.

Nope.  That's not the reason why.  It wasn't 30 pages ago where I trashed Skyrim's Magic system as primitive, unimaginitive and wholy simplistic.  Again, I didn't get bashed, dismissed or labled as a troll.    in fact, the opposite occured.    I got praised....  By this thread's regulars, even.   Imagine that.   Again, ask yourself why some criticism succeeds and some doesn't.  I'll give you a hint.     Sound logic and a good delivery system make all the difference in the world

BS.    it is  terminology   that  was born and raised with JRPG discussion.  And flourishes  within it.    Skyrim isn't a JRPG though, and perhaps  that's  the real reason for your gripes here.  You want   a JRPG-Skyrim  and the game isn't accomodating you.  So you turn to  various mods.... which DO.  And therefore  here we are:  discussing your claim that these mods are there to "fix" a "bad" game.

Whatever, if I had control over what gets released on Nexus my first goal would be to eliminate all those mods, regardless of gender, it doesn't matter to me whether it is a female or male version it is equally worthless to me and too many others. I'm a stage 4 vampire and can no longer feed. I get the animation, but after the feeding my character is stuck beside the bed of the victim. I can draw my weapon, but not jump, roll, uncrouch, or walk away. I can't leave. Everybody is hostile towards me, so it's a bit of a major problem that I can't feed. Maybe Dawnguard messed something up with my pre-Dawnguard vampire? I googled and found some people with the same problem, but it seems no fix has been found.

There's been plenty of people who have criticized Skyrim in some way or another in the past, the only difference is that they do not force their opinions on others or insult anyone who disagrees.
