If you think someone is being a general all around **** disturber and just trolling the thread, do not respond to said poster. Continuing to do so after said posters have received time outs will result in temp bans spreading throughout the thread, and possibly even the outright closure of this thread.
Do not get into pissing matches with each other. Respect that someone might have a different (and even completely opposite) personal opinion of the game. Do not start beating one's own chest and bother getting into any grandiose "but my experience shows me that Opinion X is the most popular one" because it's just leading down a bad path.

Don't get me thinking about that already!
Although what I will say is that I hope we go to Summerset Isle. While enjoyed Skyrim and it supposed "low fantasy" I did miss those bright colours of Oblivion. The realm of the Thalmor is practically built on magic so the tone will be very different again.

Yeah, and once you install it, every single bandit chief will rock such a carved nordic armor. Seems to replace the plate armors pretty much.

OK, fine. You're right, I have gotten my way quite a bit in that regard.
I only have one Argonian, and she's...meh, ok. Her name is probably her best feature: Eats-Many-Babies
Sorry for the crappy image.
That's actually a great looking argonian! Good job. Love the name too

Aye, but Skyrim's been out since November of 2011, so time's moving along and eventually we will be getting a new one. Many years down the line, but it'll happen.
AND THEN THERE'S THE ONE AFTER THAT.

Aww, well that kinda ruins the awesomeness of the armor

It takes a while for it to show up on them though, at least in my game but I have mods installed so I don't know if it starts showing up as soon as you get the DLC or if it takes a while to show like in my game.

It didn't seem like Bandit material to me either, but that's that.

Exactly! Before the DLC was released, I looked up all the armor materials online, took advanced smithing and crafted a set on release day. Only to find that everyone and their mother had a complete set and the smithy in Solstheim sold all the pieces.

But it does allow you to carry 100 more pounds of Mead! For the Skyrim drunk, I'd say that's a BONUS!

Seems too complex for the common man to be able to make if you ask me, much more for some dumb bandits, it should have been a Skaal only thing or something.

A little annoying that I first have to do the Saarthal quest for the college before I can steal the stone in the Archmage's quarters.

I know what you mean of course, and yes that would be cool. There is actually a possibility (even if imperfect) to get what you're looking for.
http://skyrim.nexusm...om/mods/12425// "Mercenaries." Available on Nexus and the Steam WS.
With this mod you can hire on as many merc followers as you want, basically an army, with a very rudimentary ability to control their actions. I used it just for laughs a while back, and hired on 15 soldier followers just...to say I did. Needless to say, combat balance is out the window and if you're not playing on Master, well...to call engagements blow-outs is an understatement in baseline Skyrim. So, the fun factor will suffer in a regular game.
Now, if you want to fight a war with your own merc Army (using "Mercenaries") against a very capable (murderous actually) and numerically superior enemy, add this on.
http://steamcommunit...ls/?id=79126406 (Battlefields of Skyrim). This one is only available in the Steam Workshop.
There is one map where you can bring followers in ('Woodlands' battlefield I think) and all I can say is, be ready. It's a very wild ride in a very deadly environment. The archers will end your fight pretty quick if you're not using the terrain, but with a small army, they should be able to neutralized them somewhat. There actually is an Imperial v. Stormcloak map now, but you have to solo it. It would be quite fun with an army behind you.
Here's two in-game screen capture (solo, without mercs to get an idea):

Not perfect by any means, but it does give you the opportunity to goof off, play commander, and do a little more than the norm.
EDIT: Trouble with uploads.

But it wouldn't be the same
Why couldn't Bethesda think of this why making the game?
