LOL, I know, right? Catch them at the right moment and angle, and that's exactly what they look like:

Thats kind of cool

A similar creature could quite easily fit in Elder Scrolls.  Mind you every creature does seem to exist so anything is possible.

I think thats actually something Skyrim was missing. Fast pase enemies that never relented. run away and pretty much everything gives up.   Deathclaws, you either face them or your die, no exceptions.

Young-uns. My first console was an Atari. An Amiga wouldn't count as a console, though it kind of may have well have been. Then I had a SMS and NES. Then a SNES and a Genesis. THEN a PS1, and finally a PS2.

I also had various computers, but I didn't start preferring them for gaming until monitors became decent enough size. Though some computer games, Star Control 2 and both the System Shocks, were a lot of fun even on a 14 inch monitor.  Same with Ultima Underworld, which changed RPGs as we know it.

Oh blah, thinking about it, I always preferred computer gaming, though the selection was better for consoles which is why I played on them.

same here Atari 2600, Commodore Vic 20, NES, SNES, Genesis, Turbo Grafix 16, Playstation, Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360.  I got into computer gaming in the early 90's with Doom, Netrek, Xpilot and Warcraft (aka Warcrack).

Anyways, back to Skyrim, fus ro dah

A giant just sent my DB flying.  Of course, I tried to run but it caught me SO quickly (stupid follower made him mad).

I remember the deathclaw cave in FO3, though.  Fun times!

Is it wrong of me to wonder if there is a cazador mod for Skryim? I don't want a nice, gentle mod now. I'm thinking something along the lines of this, but with cazadores:

They need cliff racers in the next Elder Scrolls, before anyone starts complaining about it being too easy they need to have the joy of those things chasing them from out of nowhere.
Also if we could see a Dragon swarmed by them, that would be grand

Swarms of seagulls constantly chase eagles where I'm from. So I could so see a Dragon being overwhelmed by a horde of angry cliffracers.

That reminds me Skywind is in alpha and could use more testers with Morrowind MQ experience.  Spread the word!

Regarding Deathclaws and giants.

At least with a giant, except under the most extreme circumstances, you can avoid combat altogether, since they require provocation to fight. With a Deathclaw, there is no way to avoid combat once detected...and once detected, it will charge and chase you across the map. The only way to avoid is to AVOID. They are absolutely relentless, and leave you no recourse but to face them and engage. I do like that sort of enemy, but appreciate the more subtle inclusion of an extremely powerful, but combat avoidable enemy. Luring enemies into giant lairs, when possible, is a real bonus.

Having said that, I'm all for Cazadore-ish or Deathclaw-ish enemies being introduced into Elder Scrolls games. I think my preference, for the latter, would be something along the lines of crazed Centurions on the loose. Of course classifying garden variety enemies and creatures, like...I don't know...Legendary Sabre Cats or Bears...complete with their own lairs with great loot as incentives for clearing them and their deadly minions out...or something like that would be just as cool.

Yeah Deathclaws don't stop until they die or you die. Most people I've seen killing deathclaws usually just get an Anti Material rifle to kill them, I found that boring sometimes, I've done it but I'm no fan of sniping or any of than nonsense. Usually I go after them with explosives, even if that means that my limbs get crippled as a side effect, that or I just use the survivalist's rifle against them.

Unfortunately that does not work with Dragons since they fly all the time, its super difficult to get them killed with 2H only character some times, especially with the mods I use. Sometimes it seems cowardly to me that dragons fly everywhere, and there's those that sometimes fly away when they take too much damage. Guess, cowardly dragons do exist. Deathclaws don't do that, though and if they do its only temporarily like with the flare gun.

If you play on hardcore, companions are so stupid that they try to go one on one with them, especially Veronica.

I wish they had that in Skyrim as well as some sort of hardcore mode too.

Not to continue the derail, but then again we are talking about Dragons, Giants, and Deathclaws so.......

The Legendary Deathclaw is no ****** either. I snuck and shot my way in on the last playthrough, killed the minions, the female, got to him, mined the living $#!+ out of the place with satchel charges, then provoked him into chasing me...and...he might've tripped maybe one.  He would always back off, forcing me into his den...until...I figured out how to use the mines to force HIM back into a kill zone with Boone, ED-E and me.

That had a way better outcome than my first time in. Humbling.

Ah, good times. But Skyrim could use a few relentlessly insane deadlies, just to keep you honest. But then again, if you have that kind of death wish, you can run into Giant camps as a level 5 and try to pick the locks on their chests, steal their charred skeevers, and see how far you can make it before they put you into orbit. Posted Image

Quick request: Any pointers for Deepwoods vale? I am trying to kill the forsworn leader with my veteran Orc, he has no magic and very few potions. (One-handed mace, block, heavy armor)

I am getting overwhelmed by these savages, can take out 2-3 of 'em, but the numbers are just too much. As it is an enclosed area, retreating is not an option. I have tried engaging a few, using cover & my shield to dodge arrows for a minute, then attacking. This is still not enough, however...

I refuse to use restoration or lower the difficulty. (Roleplayin)

Any bit of info is welcome!:D

Get an ally to come in and help you, stock up on potions. Might not be the Orc way, but try and get them to come to you.

What's your blocking score? Not 100 I presume?

EDIT: If not a 100, and retreat is out the question...use cover and your shield as your are, isolate pockets of two or three, make them come to you; shield bash, stagger, swing (no power swings, you're going to need the stamina), bash, stagger, swing until dead; rinse, repeat; and retreat behind cover to regen as needed. Not the preferred solution, but it'll keep you from retreating which is way more un-Orcish than backing up to more advantageous positions to kill them in detail. It'll just take time.
