Funniest thing about the Imperial Guards is that they all dropped lamb if you looted their bodies. Muttonheads, literally.

Some times I make an empty fist like I'm holding a dagger and I push my other hand out in front of me and yell "SSshhzzpow" and pretend I'm playing Skyrim. That's how excited I am.

I'm so excited that I'm randomly jumping whenever I go somewhere, just so I can level up.

I'm hearing new information from Benelux Gaming Magazine Power Unlimited.

If anyone has the magazine or could compile that information, that would just be swell.

Look here. Careful, it's flaming!

LOL  I like to think of it as gamboling.

Skyrim: Building Better Combat.

This update provides new details on the combative, arcane, or stealthy ways to deal with adverseries.

Combat system sounds great. Now we just need video footage of it in action.

Wizard duels sound sweet! I want it where you create a powerful magic shield in one hand in order to stop incoming magic, but it can only be sustained for 1-2 seconds. This would make it so duels would require timing skills, instead of Oblivion's system where you mindlessly cast electricity until one of you dies. I would like defensive alteration spells to be way stronger this time, because even masters couldn't maintain useful shields for very long (and even then it would take most of your magic!). I think from novice-journeyman levels, you should only be able to summon weak magic shields for 30-ish seconds, or powerful shields (that are around 75% effective) for only 1-2 seconds. Anyone journeyman or up should be able to cast multiple powerful shields, so it could be used as a serious defense method. I would also like dueling face to face, instead of jumping left or right to avoid damage. With the new combat system, hopefully these things will be in the game.

Nice. Something that might get me from playing WOW.

After careful consideration I realize that if having to choose between the 2 I'd pick this over ME3 without hesitation.

Except in both Morrowind and Oblivion one could easily make characters have 100% resist magic, 100% reflect magic or 100% spell absorption due to combination of enchanting, items and racial boons.

In Oblivion at least, you couldn't enchant with reflect or absorb. You can technically get a bunch of special items, but thats not really the same of actually casting useful spells. In a practical sense, you can't defend yourself with casting alteration spells, unless you are a master or maybe expert. I would like the spells too work good without having to compensate heavily with enchantments or racial boons.

Or just 100% Chameleon. Don't know if that worked in Morrowind, but Oblivion let you with no trouble.

I'm pretty sure there were Sigil stones with reflect/absorb magic.

There were absorb Sigil Stones, but no reflect. What I want are defensive alteration spells that actually protect you without taking 150-300 magic and a 5 second duration. I guess shield enchantments work, but that feels so cheap and lame. I want regular ol' spells to work good. In Oblivion, most shield spells were 5%-50% protection. You could make customs, but even tiny durations of 75-100% shields would take most of your magic. I just want short term, but powerful, shields for a more reasonable cost.  If a mage only takes 20% less damage from being hit with an axe, which is an average defensive spell, he won't last long. I want the defensive spells to work like blocking, where you time them just right and take almost no damage.

My Breton mage who exclusively used Fortify magicka enchantments and Mage sign had a humongous amount of mana, hence the master shield spell didn't take a lot of mana. But generally Illusion spells are the best defense. Frenzy, Calm humanoid, invisibility, etc.

The new menu system sounds sweet! Depending on the perks you choose, stars will light up in the constellation based menu to show what you focus on.

They look snazzy, though the suspicious part of me wonders what they'll be like to use, especially in the longer term.  I hope they are as useful as they look because they're nicely aesthetic.

Rather than refine the pre-existing menu system from Oblivion or Fallout3, Bethesda decided to toss them on the scrap heap and develop a new, streamlined interface. Searching for inspiration, the team kept coming back to Apple, and for good reason. Over the last decade the company hasrevolutionized how consumers interact with software and hardware moreso than any other tech outfit.

I can hear people crying now.

To be honest, it did actually remind me a bit of DA2's new UI, one which I am also not a huge fan of since it also looks too modern.  Oh well, I am sure this will work better at least
