What are your favorite mods? Outside of visuals...I'm pretty weak on the visual aspects of my game and should probably start to remedy that; so I don't have a lot of visual improvements on outside of better cities; but my favorite ones are:
UFO (walking around with a squad is definitely different, but don't use it if you want to level [your guys will kill everything, and fast] and I've had more than a few friendly fire incidents when in close quarters...but it's all fun).
More NPCs in the Wild (probably my number one--being able to coax Thalmor patrols into fighting by openly proclaiming yourself a heretic, so you don't incur a bounty, is worth the price of admission...which is free!!)
Bandoliers bags and Pouches (I love crafting these things and they look great, plus the carry weight bonus is no joke)
Weapon Variant Expansion (craftable and lootable. I think the Dwarven Shortswords are the coolest addition)
Dovahkiin Hideout (just awesome--best housing mod out there imo. Well supported and high-end functional)
Craftable Blades Armor (finally I can make a set with proper stats...and can make more if I outgrow the enchantments)
Just a few I've stuck with over time.
I am looking at Moonpath to Elsweyr for a large quest add-on. Any feedback on it.
I have a love/hate relationship with ENB. It's beautiful, but my computer takes a hit (from 60fps to about 40fps, which is only an issue when I want to add things to enhance the cities).
I wrote a few cheat mods -- for things like this, it's worth taking the hour or so to learn the basics of the Creation Kit. I turned off the music in the Hearthfire houses, for instance, because I always buy a bard.
My latest tweak is the ability to make perfect gems from imperfect ones and vice versa, the ability to craft black soul gems, plus I added more daedra hearts to alchemy merchants and added linen wraps to the general goods merchants (linen wraps for clothing mods that I use).
I'm using a
modified Breezehome which is amazing. You can build all your crafting stations in the basement, but what makes it awesome is the author did some scripting which ties particular storage to the stations, so when you click on the crafting thing (whichever one) it loads the inventory and when you exit, it puts the stuff back in the containers. The only hiccup to this is your pelts and leathers have separate storage from your smithing, so either you have to divide what you have been those two storages, or you have to just decide on one, and when you want to do the other, manually pull the leathers/pelts from the storage.
I use a lot of clothing mods and whatnot, though I'm always looking for more, and I use customized followers as well, though no mod to increase the number I can take with me.
