Naughty you say you're going to play through Skyrim 10 times. You've yet to make it all the way through Oblivion? <LOL> Thanks for posting the links for the Dunmar. Are the birth signs going to be in place in Skyrim or are they gone as well?

Gone. You could get most of the effect in the game by alchemy or spells, anyway.

Well that might be true but the 50% magic restince that Bretons get is nice. As for me I'm not currently playing a Breton though. I started to and just didn't like the way things were progressing so I scraped that game and with with a Dunmar. Doing lots better this time through.  Think the next time I play through I'll run a custom assasin. With marksman, sneak,  security and light armor as my areas of focus. But I've barely scratched the surface of the game from what I can tell. Got a lot of playing time with my current game and don't want to give it up.<LOL>

Yeah, I would have liked Breton to have more Mer features. Or at least some subtle influences.

I love how the nord women look really badass. It's good to finally see the Altmer and bretons too. I love the bosmer and altmer eyes too. Now they really look like elves!

Why? I never got why this is an issue.

The games are about choice and options. Vast choices and options! Its actually surprisingly popular with some people and as said you dont have to do any of it.

Personally im glad to see it being catered in. Just because its added doesnt mean the game will be like the Sims.

They all look great! I dont know what race I will start my first playthrough as now though, lol. I wil probably start with Dunmer as thats what I did first in Morrowind and Oblivion, I cant wait for this, It's a great year for gaming.

I dont see whats wrong with it, the point of Bethesda's games is to RPG or as they say ''live another life in a another universe'' If people want to do that then that's fine, it wont effect you in any way.

I'd rather they didn't have romances at all. I'd rather not get that creepy feeling I often get while playing the DA or ME series.

Yes, but you dont have to do it, that's the point.

Well you dont have to do it thats the point. Skyrim is clearly a massive game with many options. Just because its included doesnt mean you will get that feeling. You will have to instigate it.

I felt Oblivion was a very lonely game and this is something im really looking forward to. I glad it is an option.

Edit: Funkcase pipped me to it there :P

You don't have to do it in Bioware games either, yet Tali still gives me the creeps. I'd still rather they dedicated the resources elsewhere. For me it adds nothing to the game.

Thats a circular arguement. You can say that about many things in a game like Skyrim.

For example using necromancy type spells wont add anything for the game to me because I wont likely ever use them. However that doesn't mean a lot of other people wont

Yeah, useless, especially in "Anyone" version. This kills any possible depth or entertainment value this option might have had, if it was limited to chosen characters and properly scripted.

I hope by that they just meant race and gender, maybe it's for the possible companions?

I think there is a bigger difference with the Bioware games because there are so few total quests in the game. You start getting flirtatious dialogue options pretty quickly - I think for Morrigan and Zevran you just had to give them a couple of companion gifts.

With Skyrim, there are supposedly 6-7 times the number of quests of FO3 (31 vanilla quests, so ~180 - 210 quests in Skyrim), 120-150 dungeons, lots of factions, crafting, etc, so it would be possible to play the game for hundreds of hours without even pursuing any romance options. IIRC, in order to cultivate a "friendship," you have to engage an NPC and do things for them, then to develop the friendship into a romance you have to jump through more hoops.

Well like a couple of others have said its there if you want to persue that option After all some like that option and some won't like that option. It was in the DA games and it added a little dimention to the game. Especially at the end of DA and your choice making the baby. You can either do it or let one of your other Warden's in your party do it.

Just like in Oblivion there are very few spells for which I use. One of the reasons for that is I'm not really a spell caster. I prefer the bow or sword myself. Bow being my primary choice while using stealth mode has some great perks. And it's cool when you see a skeletons bones go flying everywhere or a baddie flying through the air after you've nailed him with your bow while stealthed. Most of the time it's one hit. Or at least you damage them quite a bit to where when the reach you in melee there is not much sword fightng needed to finish them off.

Ow I'm not against it, lol. I was just wondering if he actually meant anyone in the game, or anyone by gender and race but narrowed down to just a select few people. I'm hoping the latter as there will be more chance for Bethesda to develope them as characters so it's more like Bioware stlyle romance and not Lionhead. I'm for it though, I think it adds more detail to the world.

The Sept 2011 PSM3 magazine article indicated that it's only possible to have relationships with certain NPCs - and "in some cases" marriage.

"...you'll be able to start relationships with certain NPCs. Howard confirms you'll be able to make friends, recruit companions and - in some cases - actually marry the game's buxom wenches. Bigamy? It'd be rude not to."

This suggests fewer NPCs available for marriage. Also there is the suggestion of a possibility to have more than one spouse.

But of course, it's possible that article is inaccurate about this.

Funcase I couldn't agree with you and Nughty more after all it will add a little more to the game as well. Like your pc has a life outside of killing everything around it so to speak.<LOL>

Now hoping someone will check out my post to this and give me a hand with it.

http://social.biowar...2319/10#8196259

Would very much appreciate it. Would have posted it here but was told to keep this Oblivion so I'm trying to do just that there.<LOL>

Pft your bring shame to the redneck name. >> You should be making ethnic and racial slurs, and be calling everyone here a nerd. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

And Druss, Druss, this is why in your arguments, don't bother, just break the knee's of those who don't agree!

Ah well, I wonder at the rate we are seeing all of these changes if they can keep a 11/11/11 release date.

kenkenpachi well now I could be doing all that you said but then I highly doubt that I'd get any of my question answered if I did, now would I? Nerd?! I resemble that remark. Probably one of the oldest nerds here.<LOL>
