Where can I find a black hood for my witch-hunter? (Besides the assassins questline)

Please don't say hacking commands.. I am on ecks-bawks...

Perhaps the Executioner in Solitude, or the dressmakers shop there may have what you seek.

Man, I can NEVER find that executioner guy. I wanted his axe for my Orc knight, before I decided to make him a mace-user. Looked in all the supposed hang-outs...nothing

He's in the Solitude jail at day, otherwise if it is night he has a house to which he goes to, don't really remember which house though. I don't think he has a hood, and if I remember correctly his outfit is not usable, at least not by the player.

Hmmm. Guess I gotta just go with a different color scheme.

Just beat the lighthouse dungeon quest (the one that becomes a chaurus infestation) with my level 9 pure mage...got Faendal killed, and had to use every snack & potion I had. PHEW! Back to the college to buy some mana boosting gear and spell tomes!
:wizard:

edit: And I meant to ask-- what is with the quest marker on that quest? It never even said to burn the remains, I knew to do it because of the Wiki. Once the king chaurus was dead the quest dissapeared from my quest inventory. This is a known bug?

It may not be in the Quest notes, but it is mentioned in one of the journals the DB can read along the way. This is one of my fave quests in the game. Great reward, too.

There's a reward for it? From what I remember I just killed all the falmer and then there was nothing, it was one of the hardest dungeons though and Falmer are some of the toughest enemies especially when they use their archers.

If you side with DG you'll get a radiant sending you to warn a Jarl of a vampire infiltrator.  That vampire always has a black cloth hood.

If you cremate the body as noted, you gain a Healing spell +10% bonus. And this may be used offensively against those that are harmed by such spells.

I never saw anything about cremating anyone, I must have missed it.

I don't think you'll ever stop feeling squishy bc/ you're not investing as much in health and won't be donning daedric armor, but that's kind of good because you have to think about how to cope with that weakness. And this build gives you many ways to defeat powerful opponents than just simply walking up to them and pressing power attack.

True that. Feeling squishy can be kinda fun good. Quickly destroying everything with mashing power attacks, while being invincible can get old pretty fast.

And here you got plenty of options. Maybe not necessarily more than what a sneaky spellblade/assasin has (and its nice being able to break combat, catch a breath and get out-of-combat regen), but different ones :)

Got a build for that too.

Well, that's not really complicated. Especially if you go Heavy Armor, Two-Handed, Smithing, Enchanting. The rest isn't really needed. Well, dragons could be annoying, so maybe a bit archery, if you insist.
Sneak? Restoration? Conjuration? Why?

Are there any Orc followers close to as tough as the Lioness?

I do not use followers myself, but have heard of a couple of them rather frequently. Check the Followers page at the Wiki for more info.

I don't know if he's tough as Mjoll but Ghorbash the Iron Hand is an Orc, he's at the stronghold near Markarth.

I got the Steel-heart killed. I am RPing that my Orc feels terrible guilt over this, so he may never get the nerve to take another follower. Kind of seems fitting for a benevolent character. You never know, though..

I've never had Mjoll as a follower, so can't say, but I love the orc followers.  They're good archers and good meat shields.  As always with followers, the key is leveling and equipping them properly.

None of them are as tough as Mjoll, as she's marked as 'essential', and thus can't be killed. Posted Image

At least according to the uesp wiki.

Mjoll is always essential, even after completing her quest, which means that she can never be killed.

Ghorbash the Iron Hand and Borgakh the Steel Heart are my favorites, but it's probably relative to the class you're looking for.

Yup, she's absolutely indestructable. I watched my ex playing once while he had Mjoll as a companion. He was in some Dwemer ruin that had a huge open space in it, with those stone bridges in it to get down to the ground. While they were fighting Falmer high up on those bridges, Mjoll was pushed over the edge and fell into the abyss. We both thought she was dead, but by the time my ex's character reached the ground, Mjoll came running towards him, and all the Falmer that had been lurking on the round were already dead. Mjoll the Golem would have been a better name for her.

Wonder if Durac; the Orc Crossbow instructor in Dawnguard is decent as a follower?

Sweet, have fun! It's a great game most of us have dumped hundreds of hours into. Well worth it.

Some time ago I posted about that orc giving dawnguard intro quest interrupting Hadvar... normally that can't happen. I got it because I tend to pre-level my characters to an extent before arriving in Riverwood. Yeah it's not "legit" gameplay, but that's never been a big concern for me.

Mjoll was my constant companion and wife for virtually all 500 hours of my first playthrough. She was the perfect companion; she cooked, ran a profitable business, kept the chill away at night, couldn't die, and would cleave the limbs off anyone who intended you harm. Pretty much, the perfect Nord woman. Olfina talks a good game, but Mjoll is the genuine article

Yes, she's a chatterbox, but she is indestructible and is a death dealing machine in close combat with two-handed. I always thought it was weird that her quest revolves around Grimsever (a sword, which is supposedly her favored weapon), but she's spec-ed for two-handed.
