ENB has released this mod to help folks fighting system and video memory limits imposed by the game engine, and related CTDs. I'm going to check it out this weekend.

I never understand how Beth managed to fit( a bit messy and laggy ) version of Skyrim to current gen. consoles. Masterful work truly.
My Vampire sneaker has developed an addiction to collecting human souls. I'm proud owner of small but growing black soulstone collection :3 Found a mod that makes filled black soulstones unique; if I steal Risha's soul, the stone gets renamed to " Soul of Risha"
Already planning a mod list for my next playthrough!

Smoking hot mod atm. Most gaming sites have posted articles about it past week. 20-30 hours worh of new gameplay. Apparently of surprisingly high quality. Mod designer describes it as his current " full time job" and job application to Beth. I'm quite eager to give it a spin.
Interesting NPCs
Currently running a very early version of this mod..just too paranoid about updating to do so. it adds a ton of NPCs and quite well written dialogue to the game. Voice acting itself is perfectly fine as well. Sadly, recording quality of different VAs varies greatly and as such, is hitt and miss, hurting the mod. Despite being surprisingly finely written, the dialogue does very much " stand out" due to it's style and nature. Too common glint of humo and PC's responses as whole feel as if they belonged to another game. Most def. not for everyone. Yet I'm curious to try a much more recent version of this mod; it brings much ore life to Skyrim. I enjoy life. Apparently has around 30 different NPC related quests by now.
Inconsequential NPCs
Looks to be an awesome mod. Does what I initially hoped Interesting NPCs would do - adds plenty of new people to Skyrim, all of whom have their lives and daily routines..but don't really care about you. No quests offered, no life stories exchanged...just wood to gather or loitering to loiter. I'm sure this makes an excellent pairing with Interesting NPCs.

Now that I have my GTX 760, I'm finally getting back into Skyrim a little and finally getting back to Dragonborn. I had started it ages ago but put it on hold. But now I'm back to tinkering with mods more than I am actually playing Skyrim. Ah well, at least it looks pretty and runs nice!
Mods rule. Console version players are missing so much...
My Skyrim lost a bit of stability, but even so it only occasionally crashes. But by Akatosh, has it become pretty

Yeah, I cannot imagine playing vanilla Skyrim at this point. Mods really add so much life to any given game, even if they're just a handful of smaller mods that aren't total overhauls or anything. A couple tweaks here and there or some fixes that correct some annoyances, and you can extend the life of a game by a ton.

Pretty soon Skyrim has been out for two years and I still haven't managed a single playthrough. Only rerolled once, got Vampire stealth archer person at lvl 41 and long abandoned savage warrior around 17 or so. It is humbling at times, just how huge game this is. Specially after you disable fast travelling:p Seriously, do so! Tis lame and too easy to just teleport about freely. Moving between Holds via wagons is as much teleporting as one should do truly.

Interesting NPCs is definitely worth updating. Most of the NPCs were funny and of course interesting but some of the VAs were overdoing their lines. Also some of them will hang around a crafting station and repeat their dialogue every 5 seconds, annoying!

I just happened across this on amazon and wondered if anyone here had seen it? I didn't think you could sell fan fiction stories which were based on other people's intellectual property unless it was in the public domain, but maybe you can.My first thought was that this must be illegal, but since it is selling on amazon it must be allowed...

You can't...
Not without Bethesda's permission.....
I guess someone is getting sued this month.

They probably haven't found out, I'm sure it is going to get taken down soon. Besides look at how they dress their characters, it couldn't look more ridiculous. Nobody's going to buy that.

Might fall under Fair use.
I doubt Bethesda is suffering any damages from this.

EDIT: Also, I am now the proud owner of Skyrim Legendary Edition on Steam <3 (thanks to their summer sale) and just have to wait to get a decent PC to be able to run it.

Now I play games with my kids and gave them wooden swords to practice on the straw dummy. I wish there were more options with them now.
Both Sofie and Alesan I adopted off the street, I never made it to the orphanage.

The majority of fan fiction is terrible to behold. But within this pool there's something even worse. The elite of the elite. The creme of the crop. The rare fan fiction that's so cringeworthingly horrid that its very purpose is to maliciously stain its parent game's image. From a casual glance, this seems to be one of those. Skyrim is not a love story. Or a Porno. And the setting does not lend itself to bikini wearing protagonists. Yet the very cover art of this book-thing slaps you in the face right away with all three of these. I shudder to think of how cheesy the actual plot must be.

Highly doubt that. It's a grey area, but I'm betting this person gets a cease and desist.Aaleel wrote...

Twilight has made it seem ok to thinly disguise your fanfiction and profit from it. And also ok to write a horribly crappy book yet make millions off it just because the characters are nekkid every other page.

One of the things they look at when determining fair use is whether the the potential sales/market of the original work is being hurt, and let's be honest it is not.
Even if this isn't fair use I highly doubt Behtesda would waste and employee hours in their legal department even for a paralegal or intern to make a cease and desist letter and send it certified mail or have this person served. It's not costing them any money.
Linking it on the web in different forums is probably doing more harm than anything because its free advertising. Honestly if the sample was so absurd I might have bought it for a dollar if it had looked interesting, but I saw it here. Plus it may give other people the idea to go and write their own and put it out.
