1) How many people here have used the Skyrim Redone mod, and what do you think of it?
2) W.A.T.E.R. or Pure Waters?

I wonder what Elsweyr means anyway, it is Khajiit language after all. Regardless, I think the next game should be somewhere more relevant to the Thalmor so I'd guess its either the Summerset Isle or Hammerfell, since I'm inclined to believe Hammerfell is probably public enemy #1 for the Aldmeri Dominion.
I'm pretty sure it actually literally means 'elsewhere.' Off their old proverb about a perfect society always being found elsewhere.

2) W.A.T.E.R. or Pure Waters?
1) Am yet to use it.
2) I prefer Pure Waters, though I find it makes still, glassy lakes like the ones around Riverwood look better, while WATER and others handle rushing rapids and rivers better.
I tend to stare at the former for long breaks of time, so I choose it. :S

1. I've used it, it is now essential to my game, the amount of customization it offers is immense and it doesn't only bring just that, it has other modules, some of those are Encounters Zones, which adds well, more encounters,
SkyRE races, which changes the racial bonuses and makes them useful even at high levels, for example Redguards get an ability to slow time for 10-20s, it can be used every 2 minutes. Nords get an ability to be immune to damage for 7 seconds but to use this again you have to sleep. Altmer get an ability that is less overpowered though, you get something that allows you to make spells stronger in exchange for a bigger magicka cost.
There's also a combat module that makes stamina essential, if you run out of it you won't move as fast or be able to swing your weapons as fast. There's also enemy scaling, that one is self explanatory, better Enemy AI which is also self explanatory and finally survivalism, which replaces lockpick for wayfarer, a skill tree dedicated to Frostfall. However, the main features are also great, it adds a lot of weapon types, changes every perk tree to be more flexible and to have various gameplay styles. Also if you do get it, you should also download ReProccer, its a patcher that checks your load order to make SkyRe more compatible with your other mods.
2. I use W.A.T.E.R, even though it is more complex I think it is better, it looks nicer and it does a lot more than Pure Waters. I've never used Pure Waters, the difference is minimal from what I'm told. Nonetheless, I like W.A.T.E.R better, probably because I tried it first.

There is a follower distance option in AFT... give me a sec and I'll give you the option's name...
Edit: Ok, found it
Click on the follower then: Tweak Options ----> Settings -----> [X] NPC keeps Distance.
I've never checked that box, so I don't know what kind of distance they keep. But I'm assuming it's further away than the standard.
Thank you! Good to know going forward.

1 - While I have not used SkyRe, it has been used in Gopher's current Let's Play Skyrim Again; only Races and Standing Stones sub-mods were omitted. I recommend watching some episodes at varied points to see if it is for you.
Personally, it is not for my game; too complex to simply make single shot game hunting possible.
2 - WATER was my choice, as I prefer water actions to be more realistic over crystalline lakes and streams. Pure Water is more about appearance of standing bodies of water. But now I have become a fan of Realistic Water Two; a mod from the original maker of WATER, and it looks great overall.

Is W.A.T.E.R. more PC intensive? I do like the extra effects such as the waves and all that, but I can only run Skyrim on Medium settings without the game starting to chop up on me, so... :S
Yeah, it's going to make your system chug more, just like pretty much any graphics-enhancing mod. But you never know.
I'd experiment with it a bit and see if it's bearable. You'll know you can't do it if it crashes the second so much as a ripple occurs on-screen. Which has been known to happen. :S

1. Yes. Love it. Can't play without it.
2. Pure waters I believe.

Perhaps, but my older card was able to run with it. Still, Pure Waters is the one used by Gopher in his current series.

Maybe; maybe not. Consoles seem to be improving constantly, and I have read that modding is possible though very complex. While I prefer a PC, it takes a major investment, and it is used for other tasks besides gaming. Plus we should remember that this GOTY was crafted for consoles first; not the PC.

And I'm curious about this Draugr-pickpocketing business we discussed about a week ago.
With this new character, I am unable to pickpocket them. My sneak is only at around 30, but even if I'm able to get practically on top of them, the option doesn't come up. But yet, I think with my male Khajiit, it did. (He was at max Sneak). Does anyone have insight on that, or is this run bugged already?

Yeah but the reason modding doesn't exist in consoles is simple, they've got the Overlords disallowing such things. I wish those M$ and Sony would see the value of modding, but I'm guessing that if it doesn't make them money, they don't care about it.

For people who played Dawnguard, has anyone been able to encounter Lynoit? I've been trying to acquire his cache key, but I've never been able to encounter him, while I've encountered the other two Dawnguard agents. The other two seem to show up in areas related to their notes; is that the case for Lynoit?
Any help would be appreciated, as I'm starting to feel like Cicero now.
I'm pretty sure this is a random encounter. It's also very easy to miss as a corspe wearing brownish armor tends to be difficult to spot on, say, the plains of Whiterun Hold.

I think so. I found his corpse once. In the Reach, somewhere. and his note says something about establishing a cache drop network in the west... so...LobselVith8 wrote...

But yeah, it's random as far as I know. You could very well find him way over in the east, near the mage college lol Happy hunting!

Would you be annoyed if I told you that it's probably a mod that's allowing some people to pick-pocket monsters like Undead and Trolls?happy_daiz wrote...
Ah, no worries. I totally get why you guys would want to talk about mods. I just have nothing to add. I personally prefer talking about character builds, sharing photos, talking lore, etc., but that's just me.

Have to pare down my mods though, thanks to this GOTY being made on wimpy consoles first. Bleh. Will have to check that Gopher vid Elhanan mentioned, perhaps when I have 11 days off for holidays.
Grats, Joy, hope to watch your videos this weekend when I have time.

More recently, Gopher added Immersive Creatures to the list, and increased the difficulty on the mod... temporarily. Hilarity ensued!
BTW - Has anyone else been having trouble with loading pages on youube? I have no idea what is causing pages to freeze on IE_11 today; was fine yesterday.
