This armor has an enchantment that blinds other people.
Sadly this armor has no effect on the Falmer.

Ok, well that anime girl might not fit the aesthetics of Skyrim but surely Angelina Jolie does!

So lifelike! So fitting!

^That is just frankly downright creepy. Modelling a character or the DB after a real person, doesn't seem right at all. Take a look at this fine example of a heavily armored and appropriately dressed character:

[image removed, because seriously, enough of that garbage, there should be a way to block the image share in Nexus]

Seriously, and its in the snow, for crying out loud, why do people need to do this. What point does it serve. When I play Skyrim, I think of warriors, heavy armor, cold, adventure not super models in skimpy and inadequate armor.

They're lucky, seeing that thing will probably do more than just make people blind.

This page is giving me a headache. So much plastic Barbie. Image IPB

Maybe we could talk about something a little more appetizing? Like sacrificing followers to Boethiah? Cannibalism? Mammoth cheese? Anything is better than those abominations above my post.

Edit: @Abraham, LOL, thanks for removing that image. Image IPB

So the Vigil of Stendarr is not pleased with Desdenova.

Image IPB

In fact, they're extremely pissed off.

1. Has this happened to anyone else when passing by the Beacon of Stendarr in The Rift?
2. What would cause them to attack?  I had no bounty so it wasn't a stray arrow or something like that.

Wearing no armor actually provides additional agility in combat.
Though personally I like to wear armor in combat because evading every blow is just not going to happen.
It's the fact she is not appropriately dressed for the tundra envionment (a problem I have with the Forsworn).

Wear no armor by all means, but if you're in a cold environment, cover yourself.

Also the Daedric Armor has been criticised for over use of spikes causing injury to wearer and also the horns on the helmet providing something for foes to grab onto.

@Joy - That's never happened to me, so I have no idea what to say.

From the sheer number of them, it looks like you interrupted one of their monthly meetings. Image IPB

It happened to me.

In my first playthrough I was an Altmer battlemage spamming destructive spells at Vampires. Well you know how fireballs have a nasty area of effect. Let's just say I hurt one of the vigilants with friendly fire.

The Vigilants of Stendarr viewed my character as yet another herectic.
The fact I was summoning Draemora in front of their very eyes didn't help either.

I've walked right up to them with a Dremora Lord summon, and a Daedric artifact in my hands, and had them do nothing, so... I guess you just never know.

Hurting them with a fireball probably doesn't help.

Wait...you and your gal Eola never chomped on someone's blood and bones in sight of the Vigil?   Probably because they're all too busy attacking Desdenova!

I know but there's a difference between choosing to wear no armor and using some ridiculous outfit purposefully made skimpy for the sake of sexy and some creeps fantasies.

I understand not wearing armor, but really anyone going around dressed like that is likely to die from hypothermia even in a hold like Whiterun which appears to be warmer, but not quite warm.

While I do not mind the chainmail bikinis of old, in Skyrim I prefer to dress my ladies in a bit more armor like Ebony. And glamor mods will not have a home in my game.

Friendly Fire is a decent guess as to the above problem. However, I also had a recent hostility issue with some merchants and NPC's. Based on advice, I retired to the sanctuary of a home, and allowed for three days to pass; RP'd it as being ill, and took a Cure Disease potion before sleeping to get rid of the Creeping Crud. It worked!

So, this is the seedier side to modding. No wonder gamers are seen as creepy.

It's funny how people love to use generalized reasoning when they certainly never had any participation in decision-making and management of a game company.

Thats the nature of a forum based on video games. Pretty much everyone but the devs know what they're talking about regarding video game dev.

Its probably better to keep our mouths shut and praise them like the second coming of the gaming gods or some other retarded idea. You speak of this as if it were an endeavor to understand what goes on in companies, not everyone in a forums is a half-wit with no notion of how things things work.

But fine go ahead and insinuate that everyone around here has no idea what they're talking about and that the developers and company men know better about what they like than they do.

Well I doubt you'd like MMOxReview who presents skimpy mods on his show.

Personally as long as the skimpy options are mods I'm okay with it.
If the game really must include these outfits, then the game should at least provide players the option to have actual armor.

Nobody likes that guys mod reviews, and besides the only crap he reviews are those kinds of mods, I don't think that guy even plays Skyrim at all. I bet all he does are those videos, even if he didn't put skimpy outifts and other stupid crap on his reviews, he's still annoying.

There are far better reviewers than that guy, go watch Gopher's mod reivews or Brodual, they're way better and they know what they're talking about too.

One time, after beating her at brawling, I took Uthgerd the Unbroken to be sacrificed at Boethiah's altar since I don't usually make use of companions. Awhile later I received a notice stating I had inherited her home, and felt bad. Image IPB

The last time I did Boethiah's quest, I sacrificed that mercenary from the Silver-Blood Inn. Can't remember his name off the top of my head. Not Cosnach, but the other one with the face warpaint.

The time before that, I gave that honor to Faendal. I used to hire him directly out of Riverwood, but my husband was always on my case about it. "Faendal AGAIN?" I suppose he did get tired of seeing him, as I did the same thing in each run.

So finally, I quit hiring Faendal altogether, and just to appease the marriage gods, sacrificed him to Boethiah. Balance has been achieved. Image IPB

Funny, I would've said some developers don't have a clue what they're talking about. Sure, developers understand the "development" process, and they may even have data about how players play their game, but that doesn't mean for an instant that they can necessarily translate that knowledge into a satisfactory end product.

As far as I'm concerned I'm the only expert about what matters most in gaming, and that's what I want out of an end product. I know absolutely better than anyone else, what I want. It's up to the developer to use their knowledge of development to find a way to give that to me...if they want my money, that is.

They may very well know what they're talking about regarding the development process. That unfortunately means very little if what they develop out of that knowledge is pure crap, or fails to give a sustainable player base what they want so that they continue to spend money for their supposed knowledge.

Development knowledge, in and of itself, means very little.

Originally you were allowed to say no to Boethia. She'd get mad and loose some Dremoras on you and she'd also place a curse on you. I saw that with a mod, but I don't know if it was cut, or if it was truly there in the first place, I think it was the dialogue seemed genuine.

Who's your first follower: Sven or Faendal?

I always go with Sven. I tried Faendal and he sucks .  He stands back there with his bow and all I hear from him is "I cannot best you." Meanwhile Sven is always willing to get in the thick of the action. In short, Sven acts like a Nord.

Plus it's usually Faendal who asks me to pull that sleezeball "romantic" tactic.
