I gave Faendal a mod bow and boy did he smoke. Followers are only as good as their level up and equipment.

I mostly use Faendal as well. Even if he is low level, it can help to have a follower in the beginning and I found him pretty useful. Although when I play a warrior type I sometimes end up with arrows in my ass...

Unfortunately, Skywind didn't work. So Beardo the Remarkably Bearded Dunmer Guy soon found himself stranded in the land of opportunity for his kind that was Skyrim. Not the slightest bit petrurbed, Beardo the Remarkably Bearded Dunmer Guy set off to see the sights of Windhelm.

Unfortunately, they were all racist.

Now very petrurbed, Beardo the Remarkably Bearded Dunmer Guy decided to board a ship with these angry, burly Nord dudes and go to a surely much friendlier place: Solstheim.

Arriving in Raven Rock, Beardo the Remarkably Bearded Dunmer Guy breathed in a mouthful of free, opportunistic air. And ash. He proceeded to cough for ten minutes.
http://cloud-4.steam...9ED08E4EC0150D/
Not quite knowing what to do here, he headed over to the giant mushroom to the east, because generally he found giant mushrooms always have interesting things in them, particularly for a bearded man such as himself. However this time it just had an angry wizard. He made him sweep floors.

Very bored, Beardo the Remarkably Bearded Dunmer Guy decided to trek back to Raven Rock, particularly the tavern to see to some debauchery. It was one of his favourite past times, after all.
http://cloud-4.steam...9D409647B79C78/
However, one intimate night with Councilor Morvayn later, Beardo the Remarkably Bearded Dunmer Guy found himself in an awkward situation.
http://cloud-4.steam...2A0967579D7837/
And then, for no explainanble reason (or perhaps a very explainable reason) Beardo the Remarkably Bearded Dunmer Guy turned into a werebear and slaughtered everyone in sight. Stay safe, kids.

Beardo the Formerly Bearded Werebear can now be found melee attacking the lens flare, because it infuriates him.

Vilja: The Bard who had a great, great, great, great, great grandmother who appeared in Oblivion.
Inigo: A strange Khajiit.

My fondest memories of misdirected arrows were courtesy of Jenassa. I can't tell you how many times I fell to the floor, confused by what had just happened. Why, oh why, did I give her a bow with a paralysis enchantment?renjility wrote...

For those of you have PC's are there any companion mods that you liked?

No Companion mods per se, but I can now recommend Amazing Follower Tweaks to help keep them off your back. Literally!

And I was impressed with Cerwiden, as far as the improved AI was shown on Gopher's vids. While some Players may not care for the off world setting (ie; Elric) of her origin and dialogue, it was good to see a smart caster and healer at work for a change.

Inigo fits quite well into the game, Vilja not so much. I don't know about the Oblivion version, but the Skyrim version is just not fitting.
Anyway, there's this too:

The AI is too horrible to have followers. They crowd you too close and forget about stealth if you have a follower. I hated those quests where you are stuck with a follower, especially the second companion quest.
I had some really great experiences with Teldryn Sero and el Riekling hunter. We were the three amigos of Solstheim. And you can acquire Companion's Insight so followers don't get hurt by your protagonist's attacks, shouts, or destruction spells during combat (from the Black Book: the Winds of Change).

Some of them have personal quest , and special dialogue options ...
It's pretty sweet.
My main companion now is an Altmer named Rumarin ,when I stumble upon some weird stuff in caves , he usualy have some comments.
I also grew fond of followers I don't use , because most of them have quest and move around Skyrim , so you can meet them a couple of times.
Anyway this mod is great.

Set fire to an oil trail to fry two Necromancers and Rayya ran right into it.

I stopped using warrior followers altogether. I spent far too much time saving Lydia, in early runs.

Anyone know what the deal is with Drelas? He's the Dunmer living in a house nearby Morthal. He's basically hostile as soon as you enter his house.

Rayya helped give me one of the better moments in the game though. Necromancer had her down on one knee and was about to finish her off and I fired an arrow at him almost out of instinct. Got him in the neck.

He considers your interruption as trespassing; supposedly confirmed if you actually calm him down temporarily.

Since installing Interesting NPCs, I've completely forgotten he was hostile at one point.
It actually makes him a really intriguing dude.

Well, the protagonist is technically trespassing into his home. It does remind me of an earlier discussion about the protagonist attacking bandits and the like at nearby ruins who tell the main character not to trespass into their area, since the Dragonborn wouldn't see the 'bandit' labels above their heads.

Indeed. A locked door always stops a Dovakiin and his "exploration", instead of, you know, making him want to come in even more.AstusOz wrote...
I would have knocked if it was possible, lol. He should have locked his door if he didn't want anyone wanting coming in, hmph.

That's what I pretend to do when I see the hired thugs slowly walking towards me.
"That's close enough."
"I'm warning you, back off."
