Not all Dirty Edits should be removed; see indv mod descriptions for info.
FWIW, I do not have the Tech savvy to utilize TESEdit, and my system works fairly well.

The newest Skyrim Mod Sanctuary by Gopher has some dialogue and immersion mod recommendations that I believe some here may enjoy. Follower Commentary Overhaul, Face to Face Conversation, and Animated Clutter are the main mods being shown.
After downloading some mods today, I have discovered that my Update.esm and each DLC .esm files have "dirty edits". Should all of these files be cleansed by TES5Edit or would the Unofficial patches I have downloaded override the dirty edits for the DLC files?
If you look at TES5Edit's main info page you should find videos that show how to "clean" such things; be sure to follow the advice to back up the core/dlc plugins before doing so. I use this tool to check every mod I download, and you'd be surprised how many have dirty edits, extraneous changes, ignorance of unofficial patch fixes, and so on. I don't leave anything to chance, but that's just me.
I finally finished Skyrim and ran out of quests/dungeons so my character went into retirement. Most stable game experience to date, thanks to skse's memory patches and enboost. Yay!

I am not sure I am that tech savvy to understand this process of editing the files. How much of a benefit would I see in cleaning the files with TES5Edit? Would I suffer from minor bugs that are not noticeable or would there be major bugs that are noticeable and could affect questlines, plots, etc.?
Once I am finally finished downloading all the files, I am going to have figure out a why to put them in the correct order. Is there a website where experts check the mod order to make sure there will be no issues? I have software that does this with TES5Edit but software has its limitations.
BOSS is very good at arranging files is a proper order; only have to place undeclared files that remain manually, and currently this is only ca. 5 mods.
I have BOSS software and use it to check the files (Skyfalls/Skymills & Watercooler for ENB are unrecognized). So it automatically reorders the mods once you activate it?
Yes; once BOSS has been used, the declared mods are in order. But the undeclared mods are likely now at the bottom of the list, and have to be manually moved with the arrow key, if needed. Read mod descriptions and Read me materials for tips on Load Order, compatibility, etc.
Had an epic encounter while testing a new modded game early this morning.
While on my way to meet Anise, I came upon a small four man party of bandits appearing between me and the witch's home. My lowbie (ie; less than 10th lvl Nord) is armed with a mundane hunting bow and iron arrows while dressed in borrowed Stormcloak gear, while two of the bandits are wearing heavy Steel armor and one is bearing an enchanted mace of Cold. How do I know who they were, and what they had? Because I chose to reload the encounter for almost 2 hours!
It has been ages since I have struggled in a combat like this, even against modded dragons. Yet after dropping the first one from afar, at least two of the remaining thugs would quickly flank and bear down on me, and a few power attacks later; reload. I chose to get Anise's attention and involved in this, but they would also kill her quickly. I chose to hide and snipe, but this is much harder in the pre-teens than later. I chose... well, poorly again and again. By this time, I knew their marching order and first names....
Unwilling to concede, I finally chose to start my first attack with Fury,; allowing the leader to kill the fiery upstart. Hide. Then I reappeared, and did the same to the two keeping closest together. bandit chief: 2; minions: 0. This had weakened the chief to half HP, so I now went with my bow and managed to kill him before I was completely dead. Then I swapped armor with the chief and healed, looted the other two dead, and started to hunt the remaining bandit, but could not find him anywhere except when using the compass. Found them hiding near that huge uprooted tree, but more likely trying to evade their enraged leader; not me.
So keeping this character....
Am guessing that High Level Enemies, Ultimate Combat, Enhanced High Level Gameplay, and Balanced Magic mods are behind much of this. Funny thing is; was simply wanting to see if I had all of my graphic mods loaded correctly. Still awaiting that verdict....
Damn, some people seem to enjoy the Groundhog Day playstyle (reload, try again, reload try again...) I watched a guy this weekend who kept dying over and over to just about everything he encountered. Talk about making the game take forever. Grats on finally getting past that fight, I imagine you have thousands like it ahead of you..
Last memorable fight I had was with a dragon that had just been resurrected by Alduin. As we were fighting the headless horseman rode through, right between us, and kept on going. Only time I've ever seen that guy in ~650 hours of gameplay. We were somewhere on the north side of the map at the time, below the snow line.
I'm having withdrawals after 1-1/2 months of Skyrim, but have mod projects to keep me busy for now.
No; no; no.... I have had these mods installed for a while, and even when I used to have the Populated mods and Immersive Patrols mod, I have not had such difficulty. And I reload mainly because I lack RL reflexes; a major reason why I am so poor at MMO gameplay. It goes much the same way as ME3 for me, as both require WASD movement.
Ah, I understand that. I personally hate all the dancing around modern MMOs require, and I avoid singleplayer games subscribing to the same combat system. That's why I gravitate toward stealth builds and a one-shot one-kill play style (scripted temporary immunity aside). I have most of my favorite games modified for this.
It's funny seeing a guy on live stream get repeated fatalities on his character from modded enemies on master difficulty, though I'll never play a game that way.
Want my next character to be dunmer or altmer now that I have a mod installed that makes them look more like elves and less like goblins.
I just remembered something that cracked me up at the time: as I finished up my previous character I went around killing all the Thalmor I could remember leaving alive, and when I killed the leader of the trio in Markarth I got a letter of inheritance from him because I'd helped him with a single quest. Did not expect that.

The altmer look hideous but I like the way the dunmer look, the women at any rate. The men look a bit odd. All the mods I've seen of them just make them look bland and boring.
Dunmer have the benefit of the Solstheim storyline, and they make wondermous Vampires. Altmer have the bonus of height and a longer stride; can be helpful on several occasions.
And I have been known to jump around like many a MMO player, but it is usually due to trying to hit the non-existent Pause key....
Here's the elf mod I referred to: http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/46067/?
Granted, looks are subjective, but I want to make a character that is good looking to fit my deadly angel type of assassin role. Also, I can always edit the height of a dunmer to be like an altmer, thanks to running on PC and having access to console (or this mod: http://www.nexusmods...im/mods/29624/? ).
Problem here, and could use some helpful advice. After restoring my game from scratch, and playing a new session, I have started to get this glitch where some NPC's become frozen in place on death, and are unable to be looted. While this has been a common problem, I cannot find a proper fix for it.
Also, the Load Order should be OK.
Thanks for any help!
I hope it is exactly what I did.
Annihilate the Stormcloaks and execute all the Legion/Thalmor.
What do you guys think will be the canon result of the Skyrim Civil War in future games? I hope it's a Stormcloak victory and Skyrim free of the Thalmor.
I think... I'm more interested in what happened to the Dwemer.

I've never experienced this, sounds like a mod/script glitch on first hunch. Try Gopher's method for finding errant mods?

Based on what Tullius says (both if you side with the imperials and face him as a Stormcloak), and what Ulfric responds with, I'd say Bethesda's canon is: Imperial's re-take control of Skyrim and maintain peace with the Thalmor, for awhile longer.
Stormcloak victory weakens the empire, and they'd be fools to think the Thalmor would leave them alone, especially with their insistence on Talos worship.
It seems what ails my game has to do with Cell Resets.; this appears to be caused by mods that alter creatures and NPC's. There are a few ways to solve this issue it seems: wait or rest in a safe interior location for 31 days, or use a couple of methods listed in Skyrim Immersive Creatures listings under the FAQ.
Currently, I am waiting to see if it occurs again before applying a fix, as it has not obviously occurred again for some time.
P.S. I get that many mods are in Beta stage, and use at your own risk. But why would someone release a mod based an Alpha SKSE release? Has nothing to do with this problem, but I recently uninstalled a mod using it. ![]()
Ah, cell resets. I disabled those by setting the duration to -1 as I did in Oblivion. Always bothered me that everything respawned in just 3 game days. That's massively fast plant growth (takes at least a year for most small plants to regrow), ore respawn (takes time on a geologic scale to form veins and deposits), and creature reproduction rates.
This still leaves re-spawns due to road scripts.
I can see using SKSE Alpha for the working memory patch, but using alpha stage script changes is risky. I guess it's the opposing extreme to the people who can't be bothered to implement the less esoteric unofficial patch fixes in their mods. Thank goodness for TESVEdit, though it means not updating mods until weekends when I have time to ensure the mods are playing nice with the UOP and my mod.

Whatever happens the Aldmeri Dominion probably won't last (Hammerfell seems to have kicked them out successfully). There's no love for them in the Empire either after all.
I am still a firm Stormcloak supporter, the Empire is dead.
Let it be cast down to their remaining Gods and forgotten, Skyrim will be reforged into the tool of war needed to obliterate the Diminion from the world again.
