Meh images; this site breaks some image links that used to work just fine, alas.

Anyway, I'd love a future ES singleplayer title to support more than 4GB memory and have a 64-bit executable, on the technical side of things. Wouldn't mind a bigger world map either!

That mace looks heavy.

Really heavy.

Really powerful if you can wield it properly.

That said, you'd need a specialised class of soldier to wield it.

Secondly, it would be a very short two handed weapon, as opposed to a one handed weapon.

The expert needed two hands to wield it.

^ One handed Mace is a practical weapon. Huge Maces and Chained Morning Stars aren't.

Why use a big heavy blunt weapon when you can use a katana?

To be fair, that mace packs a powerful punch.

Sorry that's an understatement.

It decimates concrete.

It renders heavy plate armour useless.

Well it does do those things if you can actually wield it. :P

I must have been bulking up the wrong muscles in every playthrough, because katanas didn't do diddly squat for me. Cool-looking, yes, but completely ineffective for me.

Molag Bal's mace, though...that thing was a serious death-bringer.

I hated that the charge didn't last very long, though. Mayhap a flaw in their (my pcs, collectively) magic skills, or lack thereof, I suppose.

Some unarmed combat perks would be sweet with the new perk system.

Skyrim style perks with more skills would be fantastic.

I prefer bow and dagger; the dagger kill moves are enjoyable. Then again, I'm rather traditional.

That mace is the baddest **** ever. I'd definitely would torture a priest for that.

I think that calls for a Vampire Lord playthrough.

Would you see a different part of Nirn?

Elder Scrolls VI has a difficult task of yet again going over familiar territory.

Elder Scrolls Arena covered most of Tamriel and the Summerset Isles.

Elder Scrolls Daggerfall covered Hammerfell and Highrock (I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong)

Elder Scrolls Morrowind covered Morrowind

Elder Scrolls Oblivion covered Cyrodiil

Elder Scrolls Skyrim covered Skyrim.

Elder Scrolls Online covered all of Tamriel and Summerset Isles.

Is there anywhere outside of Tamriel and Summerset Isles you'd like to see?

Or would you rather those places remained a mystery?

Yet let's take a look at Nirn.

I just want to take this opportunity to express my frustration with Elder Scrolls Online. ESO is very likely the reason that Skyrim DLC and expansion pack support was ended so prematurely. I can't imagine selling 20+ million copies of a game and only releasing 3 DLCs. They did that because they didn't want to compete against their other Elder Scrolls game, which by the way, was then delayed.

So instead of awesome Skyrim content continuing through 2013, we get a mediocre MMO that completely fails to live up to its pedigree. Gaggggg.

And, it could end up having even harsher future ramifications. People here simply assume that there's going to be an Elder Scrolls 6. But that might be wishful thinking. The facts on the ground have changed. We now have an elder scrolls MMO. We have no idea if multi-player elder scrolls is the proposed future direction of the IP.

Skyrim came out in 2011. We are now in 2014. (man does time fly or what!?) Normally, given the track record of 4-5 years between ES title releases, this would mean that we are currently 1-2 years away from the next one. Which means that sometime this year or early next year we should be getting some hints and teasers about it (we first heard about Skyrim in 2010).

BUT... again, we've got an Elder Scrolls MMO that just came out. And the Xbone/PS4 version of it is coming out early next year. These are RELEASE dates. You can assume another couple of years of support/expansions/mission packs for this silly MMO that no one on earth ever asked them to make in the first place

So where does that leave ES 6? That's right. Nowhere. ES 5 may have sold 20 MILLION copies, making it one of the biggest selling video games of ALL TIME.... thus ES 6 is a historical necessity and a complete financial no-brainer. But no. What we really need is another friggin MMO.

If they make TES: VI as good as the rest, they will make enough money to buy a country.
