Todd Howard, Kevin Levine [Bioshock] and David Jaffe [God of War] discuss background and inspirations for their games.
Nothing new but its quite a nice listen.

"Similar to Fallout 3, we’re prepping an army of bronzed Dragonborn statues for Skyrim’s launch. Currently residing in a warehouse, you should start seeing them in stores worldwide closer to launch."

I'm all for having statues of hot fantasy nordic men on my living room, but I don't want to think how much it would cost.
I don't think they will be offered for sale; rather, retail stores will hold drawings and give them away to contest winners.

Well now I wouldn't mind trying to win one of them or buy one. They look cool if you ask me.

I'm sure some of the people who win the drawings will put them up for sale on ebay to the highest bidder

Indeed, I hold the belief that this whole "retail display" theory is bunk. I believe these statues were crafted to guard the spirit of Todd Howard in the afterlife.

Or just maybe...the Xian terra cotta warriors were crafted for an ancient sales promotion in China.

That belief assumes Todd Howard is a mortal.chunkyman wrote...

I'll agree with you that is a huge box. But I just couldn't see paying the money for what they were asking for the collectors edition. Thought they wanted to much for what they were offering and just couldn't justify the more than double the cost for the game. Heck didn't even include the game manual which you've got to buy seperately.
I somewhat agree, I usually don't feel particulary attracted to Collector's Editions. That said, I'm a sucker for art books, especially ones with pretty covers. I still won't buy the CE, though.
