Well, I doubt it's actually going to happen. It isn't very likely that Bethesda will decide to follow what Michael Kirkbride writes, even though he's the mastermind behind
allofthegoodmuch of the Elder Scrolls lore. It would be an interesting change of pace though to have the elves prevailing over the humans for once.
Abraham, your timeline sounds just about right to me. Skyrim came out in what, 2011? Fallout 4 should be just around the corner.
The way I see it, there can be a sixth game where the player character can overthrow the Aldmeri leadership (the ones who long for immortality) and install someone less genocidal. There are mentions of a new generation of "progressive elves". Then he/she will help the reformed conquer all of Tamriel just as Cyrodil did once before, Lelouch Vi Britannia-style.
You could have the Dominion win while still being "good guys". You can have your cake and eat it too.
Unless he was specifically referring to the Thalmor, then we're doomed.
Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing an elf-dominated fantasy world for once. Humans get all of it. It's just that I want to play non-elves in the future as well.
