Does Skyrim run well on Windows 8? I read there are compatibility issues. I'd prefer to stick to Windows 7 but it's almost as expensive as Windows 8, so I'm not sure if it's worth it buy another license for the older OS.
I am using windows 8, didn't run into a problem.

Also; what the hell happened to the Skyrim Blog??
Apparently, it's "under construction" due to "the unexpected transfer to the new Ning 3.0 platform". I noticed the issue when I saw some pages wouldn't come up.
On that note, I have to say it's good to be back in Skyrim, after a long hiatus. I'm following forward to a Redoran warrior run, since I still haven't worked with the Dawnguard to oppose Harkon, and I'm curious to see how Bujold turns out to be as an ally (if only for a brief period of time, until the Barrows). Until that time, my Telvanni is almost close to getting his hands on the Skeleton Key, the final daedric artifact to complete his eclectic collection.

Hey Bethesda, if you could tell me anything about the next TES, that'd be great.

Pffft.. Miraak is a little school girl compared to Rahgot.
It took me forever to kill that bastard. Granted, I did have quite a few combat mods installed. Had to run in circles around the ruin for like an hour, because he kept murdering me with his uber-death spells of doom. But in the end my character screamed like a little girl bravely made his way to a balcony where he safely shot thousands of iron arrows into Rahgot's undead ass.

It'll be set in San Francisco.
Thanks,

Hammerfell. Shehai Shen She Ru >>>>> Thu'um. The Yokudans (Redguards) sunk their entire continent with it which is said to have been twice the size of Tamriel.

Ok.. About to take on Miraak with my lvl 39 Orc Samurai. Wish me luck
Good luck, mybudgee!
Did anyone read what Michael Kirkbride said about Alessia? He stated, "Alessia didn't have the power to absorb dragon souls. Hers was a much more nuanced power: to dream of liberty and give it a name and on her deathbed make Covenant with the Aka-Tusk."

The first and only time I managed to fight him was with my Nord Sorcerer decked out in Dragonbone with a Dragonbone mace almost all Shouts (except for the ones from Dragonborn and Storm Call/Call of Valor). I never use Marked For Death (so ****** OP that Shout).
The fight started at the Vigil and ended up at the Riften Watchtower. It was on Legendary so it took about an hour and thirty to take the bastard down. That was a worthy opponent. I had to keep using Close Wounds and Frost Cloak (to drain his stamina). I also used poisons on him. I think it took so long because despite being lvl 94 I didn't break my PC. He wasn't OP other than the fact that he was stronger than everyone that wasn't Miraak. No smithing at all and no enchanting or alchemy glitches.
I would take screen shots of my LDB's gear if I could to show you guys. Anyway it was a brawl. I would be on the brink of dying and bam! comeback. Just when I thought EW was out for the count bam! another comeback! It was glorious.

^ Now that's awesome. I'll finally bite the bullet and get to lvl 81 with my current character.

I went for:
Destruction and restoration enchantments with zero cost.
Highest armour rating.
Then exploited the impact destruction perk
The Ebony Warrior could not do anything but take lots of damage.
Call it cheating, but these are all tactics that the game provides. No glitches needed.

Where's the fun in that? The only glitch I used was Fortify Restoration/Talos Amulet to get my Shout cool downs cut in half. Even then it doesn't break the game. And besides I was role-playing a Nordic Shezarrine. Those guys love tough fights. The tougher the fight the worthier the opponent.

There's so much you can do, I wouldn't be surprised. ![]()
The Ebony Warrior can be a difficult fight, especially at first when you don't know what to expect (in terms of his abilities and fighting prowess). My first time was with my pure mage - a few good Incinerate shots at him with a mastery of destruction (along with the destruction increases from Aspect of Terror and both ranks of Augmented Flames, combined with vampirism) merely staggered him for a bit, but he recuperated and shouted my character into the air while my Telvanni regained his magicka. Dragonhide, fortunately, managed to spare him, but the sunlight caused his health to regenerate slower than usual. A one-on-one fight is fun (especially if you exclude the use of Dremora Lords or other summons, and try to take him on with nothing but spells and a limited magicka pool). He's certainly much more difficult than Miraak; more in line with Karstaag, really. I think, in the end, the Ebony Warrior earned his way to Sovngarde.

I was ambushed by two dragons three times while adventuring. and then on bizzare sight, a glitch that happened to show a dragon showing up not to fight me, but fighting other dragons. strange glitch
Yeah I've had that happen to me once. Not the dragons fighting each other but three dragons at once. I then summoned Odahviing to help me out. A lot of dragons on screen at the same time LOL.

SpoilerI wouldn't call it 'summoning'.
I really liked that quest. The ode to Morrowind and an arcane scholar finally uncovered what happened to the dwemer. ![]()
