You mean the MW title I plan on utilizing for SkyWind. If that does mean the much heralded MW title that will be used for SkyWind, maybe later.

Oh that reminds me; all of you who claim that Skyrim has "clunky" melee combat... What are you going on about?? Clunky compared to what?!?
Other games that use hack and slash.
Assassin's Creed, The Witcher 2, Oblivion ( because they're nearly the same despite a 5 year gap ).

However bad one perceives melee combat to be in Skyrim, it's predecessor's was far worse. I just got done with another Oblivion playthrough and melee combat was awful--but then again, I still like the game even after 8 years. Skyrim's melee combat was a vaunted improvement over ES IV. Add in functional shield mechanics other than purely defensive, dual-wielding (even across skill sets), fairly satisfying power attacks, a slightly more visceral impact where you don't feel like you're swinging at air, and it was a worthy iteration(al) improvement. Not perfect by any means, but functional and entertaining enough, especially considering what the rest of the game has to offer.
Sure, it will fall short of some other game's mechanics, especially hack and slash super-combo action-fests, but then again those games don't normally hold my interest anywhere near the thousand plus hours Skyrim has...so where I'm coming from, admittedly, overall satisfaction is not determined by just combat mechanics; even though it is an important facet of overall gameplay.
Although I will concede they could do better.

Most anything halfway decent ?
Morrowind's or even Daggerfall's combat wasn't good, but I could forgive that because being victorious in combat was mostly the result of character skill and there were actual RPG mechanics involved. Oblivion /Skyrim has better combat from an action standpoint, but it became tedious as hell really fast because both the RPG mechanics and the combat mechanics were very simple and shallow. A really bad compromise, especially in a game so heavily focused on combat.
And no, the fact that you can pick flowers or rearrange the crap in your virtual houses for hours on end doesn't make it any better.

Meh, Assassin's Creed has its own issues to content with, like the fact that they still haven't fixed the counter-attack after 5+ games. And I say this as a huge AC fan.

Morrowind's awkward attempts at fusing action and RPG gameplay pretty much destroyed any worth its gameplay might have had. They should have just bit the bullet and made it turn-based or real-time pause.
Still remains the best TES game, but I'd hardly say that was because of its combat gameplay, which was pure ass.
Edit: Not to mention, its attempts at skill balance were utterly atrocious.

Agreed. That's why I say give me TB/RtwP or give me some actual good action combat. And no it doesn't need to be a 'super combo action fest' like Ninja Gaiden Black or something...LOL.. combat in action RPGs like the Souls games, Dark Arisen, Dark Messiah, even Witcher 2 & the Gothic games were much more satisfying. And please, spare me the talk about all the other amazing things you can do in the game like sharpen knives ect.., so it doesn't matter if the combat sucks.
As far as the skills ect..yea, a lot of stuff was broken in Daggerfall/Morrowind, but instead of improving on systems/mechanics and trying to make things actually work better, they just get rid of things and simplify/dumb down everything.
At this point, they need to just fully concentrate on the combat system and streamline everything unnecessary (like skills) out of the game. I'd love it if Bethesda just dropped the RPG elements entirely and made an open-world action-adventure game with some magic, instead of these awkward 'in between' games with no true strengths besides being able to dress up ur character and go anywhere you want in some crappy 3D gameworld, and the rest is UP TO YOU.
If I want to play an true cRPG, there's actually options for me now (as far as new games) with all the kickstarter incline, ect..

Who in their right mind would say Oblivion or Ass Creed has better combat mechanics??
I guess we have to agree to disagree

I do not use many Player homes for my game, but this one may fit your needs:

Assassins Creed does have better combat mechanics than Skyrim by a long mile. I agree that Oblivion is worse though.

^Agreed. I've spent months learning the GECK, and have just gotten my New Vegas house where I want it. I got used to using other modders player homes, and most were good. I always end up wanting too many changes. Decided to do it myself and have no one to blame but me if there's an issue. Oh, and I'm fairly responsive to myself for needed changes!
Looking forward to doing the same thing in the Creation Kit for Skyrim.
BTW, haven't spent much time in the Creation Kit, but I have in the GECK. Can't you use a model staircase of the one already found in Proudspire? If that's not the layout you want, how about something grand like the stair cases leading up to Dragon's Reach, or even the wide stairs leading up to the Jarl. Certainly they are all stand alone models, right? I would assume the College has a ton of staircase models to search through.
Anyway, good luck. I know how important finding the right model is.

the entire original staircase (all 3 floors of it) is a single model, making it too big for what i need, the ones from other cities dont really fit the architecture. The rest of the Solitude staircases are either 2-3 floor ones or just dont scale properly
my original plan was to add a 4th floor and make it into one big master bedroom, now ive decided ill just share a coffin with Serana on the 3rd floor ![]()

Again, not a Creation Kit expert...but did you make a duplicate of the interior your working with and save it as your own; with a custom door for entry, etc? The pic looks like its still reading the data from the vanilla interior...that's just my quick SWAG from a very distant vantage point.
