Did I miss any races?

Was any of my information inaccurate?

What are your favourite non-playable races?

My favourites so far are The Dwemer. I love steam-punk and I love the way that a completely out of place group of people were incorporated into a medieval setting.

There are inaccuracies.

Depending on the phases of the moon on which they were born, they will turn out completely differently. So little wonder that they worship the moon.

*Moons. Nirn has two moons, and both affect the phase a Khajiit is born in.

It is said that they enslaved the Nords until they eventually rose up against their elven masters.

The Ayleids enslaved various tribes of men in ancient Cyrodiil. The Nords are one of them.

Chymer: A magical race of elves. Mysterious beings from a forgotten era... In other words I know nothing about them.

The Chimer are not mysterious. They are the ancestors of the dark elven people. They followed Saint Veloth to Morrowind during the Exodus to practice fundamental ancestor worship based on Padomaic principles. High Velothi culture built the Daedric shrines that dot Vvardenfell, before degenerating into tribal Ashlander and later House Dunmer culture known today.

The fate of the Dwemer is unknown

It's not unknown, but the answer is not universally accepted. The Dwarves became the golden skin of the Numidium.

Maramer: Mermaid Elves that live near Summerset Isles.

No such thing. If you mean the Maormer, they're the pale-skinned pirate elves of Pyandonea. Their ruler is the immortal King Orgnum, whom Redguards sometimes associate with the First Serpent Satakal, the god of everything.

We get to play the descendants of Atmorans: Nords, Imperials and Bretons.

That's not universally accepted. The ancestors of Imperials and Bretons are said to be indigenous to Tamriel, and the "Out-of-Atmora" theory is Imperial propaganda.

Akatosh is said to be the original dragon.

That's not fully accepted in the lore community. Akatosh is considered part of a greater Aka spirit along with Alduin.

If you were to challenge any of them to a fight, you'd be destroyed in less than a second.

Not true. The Hero of Battlespire defeated Mehrunes Dagon, but heroes are special circumstances.

All of this is right. And as far as Akatosh...

He is just a single Aspect of what's been collectively called the Time Dragon (Auri-El, Auriel, Satakal, Alduin, Alkosh, Akatosh) for simplification purposes. The dichotomous enantiomorphic confrontation between the Time Dragon and the Space Serpent (Lorkhan, Lorkhaj, Sep, Sheor, Shor, Shezarr) has repeated so many times throughout Tamrielic history that at this point they can't tell each other apart (Space-Time).

I try not to explain concepts like enantiomorph simply because it's a higher level concept in TES lore. But, it's highly integrated into TES lore, starting with the first enantiomorph, Anu and Padomay.

Thank you for the corrections.

I hope this lore is more accurate. Especially considering that I literally copied and pasted your words...

Early Humans: [spoiler] I don't know a great deal about them.

The Imperials, Nords and Bretons are descendants of indigenous humans of Tamriel, though some claim they came from Attmora. This claim came from Imperial Propaganda.

Only Nords came from Atmora.  Bretons and Cyrods are descended from Nedes, who are a race of humans indigenous to Tamriel and have nothing to do with the former.

Imperial propagandists scholars write that Nedes came from Atmora because claiming descent from Thu'um-wielding badasses from the Elder Wood sounds a lot sexier than claiming ancestry from slaves of the Ayleids.

you idiots, Yokuda is the Past, Tamriel is the Present, and Akavir is the Future. Atmora represents Frozen Time, and if Atmora represents Frozen Time, what do you think Aldmeris represents?

Maormer are sometimes called "Tropical Elves", not "Pirate Elves." But, they're basically pirates who prowl the seas around Summurset Isle and the Abecean Sea. They have a particular enmity with Summurset Isle.

That is true, Nords come from the same ancestr as Giants, Atmora was ruled BY giants, but when the nords settled in Skyrim, they chased the giants up to the mountains and isolated them. EThe giants then hated every non giant. Nords use painted cows as a thing to still kinda communicate with their long lost brothers...If they don't launch them into Oblivion of course.

Read "the Seven Fights of Alduddaga."

I'm pretty sure Nords are related to Trolls and Giants. Look at the Frost Giant at Dawnguard. One of the Nords' weaknesses from past games was called Trollkin which made them susceptible to fire.

IMO it goes:

Frost Giants

Giants Trolls

Well, color me confused and wanting clarification?

I vaguely get the concept of the many facets of the Time Dragon, but never quite caught on about the Space Serpant- and I'm not clear on how they've been in conflict either.

I'll admit that I'm really weak when it comes to the topic of the enantiomorph, and there are better people who know more than I. What I do know is that the enantiomorph is that a special mythic relationship consisting of two opposing gods, a female principle, and a witness to the conflict that resulted in him being maimed or blinded. The enantiomorph was first mentioned in the Annotated Anuad, between the conflict of Anu and Padomay for Nir's love. This mythic relationship was recreated across the Aurbis's various ages, including the relationship between Akatosh and Shezarr, or Auriel and Lorkhan.

For me, as an elf-lover, it would have to be one of the elves  ^_^ So I'll go with the falmer. They have degenerated so tragically. I would love to see what they once looked like, plus there's that one place up north that has like a statue of a huge snow elf, and let's face it, it's a pretty cool structure. (Forget what it's called or where exactly it's located.)

Second... I'm a cat-lover, too, so I'd love to see some of the more "animal-like" khajiit."

Holy cow, this thread is still going? That's amazing. A real testament to this game's staying power.

I'm getting back into Skyrim myself, but my PC is a bit lackluster in the specs department. I'm gonna have to forego HD textures, ENBs, and other graphics niceties and focus instead on smaller things like bug fixes, and maybe some lightweight stuff without a bunch of scripts. Anyone have some suggestions on that front?

What can I say?

I just loved "vanilla" Skyrim that much...

I'm not a fan of the mods that change the natural aesthetic the vanilla game has. For example...

Spoiler

vs.

The mods "enhance" the colors and make them look unrealistic. Contrast looks over driven. Shadows are too dark. It's basically torch mode.
