I played Skyrim without mods.

What can I say?

I just loved "vanilla" Skyrim that much...

Not even the unofficial patches?

Those would have been nice.

Heck the myriad of mods you can get on the PC look awesome.

It's just... I got the game on the PS3. :crying:

Or to put it another way...

^Yeah well I destroyed the DB. I played through it blind, so getting kidnapped and being told by a creepy masked woman to kill someone? Nope, you first, lady.

If you were siding with the Imperials it was probably for the best.

I've been playing Skyrim again to pass the time until Inquisition comes out. Been enjoying it so far, minus a few crashes here and there. I've been playing as a Thalmor agent from Northwatch sent out to investigate the dragon outbreak.

What would you like to see in the next Elder Scrolls game?

I'd love to hit up Summerset Isle and finish off the Aldmeri Dominion for good, or maybe visit Akavir just to shake things up a bit. I'm also expecting the return of the Dwemer at some point, but I doubt they'll get around to that in the next game.

What's great about it is that they could really go anywhere with the next TES game. There are still several provinces and even whole continents they haven't covered like Yokuda or Pyandonea. They could even set it in a plane of Oblivion. The possibilities are endless. Bethesda has their bases well covered thanks to the rich universe they've put together.

Absolutely. Bethesda would be hard pressed not to introduce new playable races given that Akavir is almost exclusively comprised of those races. A game based in Akavir would give Bethesda a lot of creative leeway as well since so little is known about the continent and its inhabitants. It could be a fresh new take on the franchise and its universe. I'm salivating at the very prospect of a TES game like this.

That and The Elder Scrolls VI: Akavir kinda has a nice ring to it, don't you think? Make it happen, Bethesda.

Atmora > Akavir

Besides, setting a game in those two places will cause them to lose their mysterious charm.

Isn't Atmora a frozen wasteland? No point in setting it there.

As I said before a huge region consisted of two or three kingdoms.

According to MK, Atmora is a frozen land which lacks ice, snow, frost, and wind.

That alone makes it cooler than Akavir, which is nothing more than Future Tamriel 2.0.

Stros M'kai, I have a feeling that visiting that place would be very...Monkey Island-ish.

I can wait forever for the next Elder Scrolls game.

I loved Skyrim and Oblivion.

To be honest I am not loving Arena right now.

I've seen images of Daggerfall. It doesn't really entice me very much.

I think I'll love Morowind since it is more like Skyrim and Oblivion and less like Arena and Daggerfall.

Potential playthroughs: (Not in that order)

  1. Another playthrough of Skyrim
  2. Another playthrough of Oblivion (I want to do more of the guild questlines)
  3. Sink my teeth into Morowind

As for Online, I'll wait for the free to play. Come on. Just have to wait a year or two. I can't stand that about the MMO genre.

I don't want to risk a monthly subscription on a game that I might not like. I wasn't enticed by Rift or The Old Republic, and those are better examples of the genre.

What I can't wait for is Fallout 4. What's taking so long?

Give us something. Maybe a teaser trailer or some guy bouncing up and down on stage shouting "Bethesda is making Fallout 4! Woo", before leaving. (Shortest press conference ever).

Mysteries are meant to be solved. Akavir is a perfectly logical choice to set an Elder Scrolls game in, from a creative and also a gameplay standpoint as it will keep the franchise from getting "stale" (some might argue it already has). Lots of lore drops to be had there as well, with the Blades (or rather the Dragonguard) and dragons both originating from the continent among other things. I hope Bethesda has at least considered the idea.

They will likely abandon Dragons and Dragon-themed stuff. Skyrim covered this subject, part 6 will need a new... gimmick. (Time-travel or magic overhaul?)

As I said before a huge region consisted of two or three kingdoms.

I like the idea of them focusing on parts of provinces instead of entire provinces, like what they did with Vvardenfell. And it's kind of silly that the capital of a major hold is composed of only a few wooden houses *cough*morthal*cough*anddawnstar*cough*. It's almost 2015 and It seems like Bethesda's cities are getting smaller instead of bigger.

I say keep it in Tamriel. Atmora is a wasteland, Aldmeris doesn't exist, and Akavir should stay a mystery for the sake of it's charm.

Ten races is more than enough for me, and Beth really should focus on fleshing them out. It's weird how my high elf in Windhelm gets treated largely the same as anyone else. Nords should be spitting at his feet as he chants his views on elven supremacy!
