Elder Scrolls 6 is gonna be in Black-Marsh??
Yeah, first I heard of that. Knowing how Bethesda is able to keep a lid on things pretty tight.
We still know exactly ZERO about FO Next, and I'm assuming it will release way prior to ES6.
Just wondering where all that came from.
the website i read said they think it may be released by next march or was it may of next year? basically mid 2016.
Embarrassingly, I know quite little about Skywind. I mean, I know the concept, etc, but haven't kept up with it like I probably should. Will it run something like Project Brazil did for Fallout New Vegas? There you would run PB right from the main menu of FONV; and once in you were committed until the end.
Is that the plan to run Skywind...right out of the Skyrim main menu?
You'll most likely create your character first then choose which game you want to play. This is what they did with the Morroblivion port

Someone supposedly leaked memos and developer emails talking about ES 6 taking place in Black-Marsh. And here I was hoping for a visit to the land of Elsweyr. I'm considering replaying Skyrim but I'm wondering if there are any must-have mods out there. Any thoughts?
"must have" varies with who you ask, so I'll offer my preferences:
SKSE for memory fix and script extensions
Unofficial Patches
SkyUI
I cringe whenever I see someone playing the PC version of Skyrim without these. "Gosh, why did my quest break? Why does my game crash in this place? What's up with this UI?"
I've only played the PS3 version.
So I'm not in any position of authority.
These are mods that I probably would download:
Quest:
Falskar
Moonpath to Elswyr
Envoys of End (that is really challenging from what I gather, so level up your character to OVERPOWERED and you'll still find it difficult)
The series about the Thalmor
Helgan Reborn
Combat:
There is a spell maker mod
Thunderchild: You can now mix and match words of the Thu'um to create new shouts
Skyrim Redone (or any other combat overhaul mod)
Any kill cam mod. Violens and Dance of Death come to mind.
Immersion:
Become a Bard.
Pilgrimage mod. Yes you can go on a pilgrimage and worship the 8 or 9 divines.
Start your own business: Mine or brewery
Visual Enhancement:
Real Vision
Weapons:
Immersive Weapons and Armour by Hothtrooper
Albion Swords
Followers:
Hoth
Inigo
Vilja
Top 5: Places to go for mods.
Gopher: Gopher is a modder himself. He will give you tips on how to download each mod
Brodual: He tends to stick to lore friendly mods. He does cover a large variety.
MMOxReview: (if you can get past the skimpy outfits there are some interesting mods displayed. He also does Fallout New Vegas)
Top 5 Skyrim Mods of The Week: Seb Ford and Cam Robinson are just entertaining.
Skyrim Mods Weekly: Another decent show about Skyrim Mods.
I detest how time consuming it is to find and defeat a legendary dragon tbh. Now I find myself only opening Skyrim once every 3-4 weeks for about 2-3 hours. But that's my final achievement man. So close to 100% completion. But also feels so far away.
I hear they don't spawn until you're about lv 78.
This is what happens when you switch your gaming platform, gotta invest even more hours into Skyrim in order to get that 100%.

Smith overpowered weapons and armour for you and your followers. Use poisons, potions and enchantments and soon that legendary dragon will falter.
Actually that suggestion takes ages. You need alchemy, enchanting and smithing upto level 100 for this to work.

No way. My Imperial Battlemage is about level 44 (I think) and I've fought at least one. It took about a half-hour to finally kill, and that was only because that character has good magic resist & a couple giants jumped in/distracted him

Nah, they're not supposed to spawn until around 81. Sounds like a bug to me. Only Ancient Dragons should be around in the 40s.

I guess it could've been Ancient. My copy is definitely bursting with bugs, though...

There used to be a glitch to where you could shoot the greybeards in the back with arrows at the temple and they wouldn't turn hostile (might still exist, not sure). It's a great way to get your sneak and archery up. It's one of the few times I've ever glitched in a video game, but I just didn't have the energy left after having multiple skills at max and that being my last achievement. You might try this to help you jump to 81 (I think it was), I'd just create a separate save file just for that and then delete it after the achievement pops that way you can play the game as normal.
Elder Scrolls 6 is gonna be in Black-Marsh??
Wait, seriously? That sounds interesting, at least more interesting than fantasy Scandinavia.
Black Marsh is my most desired setting so I'll be extremely happy if pans out. I just wonder how they'd do it considering how Black Marsh is pretty much instant death for anyone who isn't an Argonian. That said, I'll wait until an official announcement before getting excited, because Black Marsh seems rather unlikely.
^ Well... if you notice, there is a LOT about that region not really "fleshed-out", perhaps by design. The devs can do almost anything they want to. Some kind of bridge/tunnel system to protect wanders/travelers maybe...?

That'd be sweet, I'm super interested in whatever solution ends up being provided. Black Marsh was always well described by Argonians and quite frankly I feel like swamp is a setting that we don't see much of in video games. I've had my fair share of sand and jungle, although I'd prefer sand to jungle.
Despite the fact that I usually play Argonian, I don't want there to be any areas of the map that are locked out to other species as I have seen suggested online. The reason for this is because the Elder Scrolls is about doing whatever the heck you want and there shouldn't be any limits to where you can and can't go (at least in my opinion).

I predict that ES 6 will have exactly that; a way to enhance re-playability. The one big bummer for me in Skyrim on my second & third "playthrough" was that nobody REALLY reacts differently to you according to race. Skill, faction, equipment, yes. But not race.
Thanks for the suggestion, guys.
Right now I'm level 68 and I just now started running into revered dragons. They're kind of a pain but my character is kinda over powered so they're not so bad.
And it would be pretty cool if Elder Scrolls 6 took place in Black Marsh. But I also wouldn't be opposed to Valenwood or the Summerset Isles.
Also, is it just me or do others also want to be able to go back to the Shivering Isles in Elder Scrolls VI? Different plot obviously but I wanted more Sheogorath in Skyrim tbh. Can't get enough of him.

In the Argonian Account books the - I think it was an Imperial - human main character is transported underground in the insides of some kind of giant worm. That should be interesting.
I want to go to Elsweyr though.
