See I did all that. I did everything I could barring collecting Barenziah stones, the numerous quests that are never-ending, and one quest in particular that I just never got around to.

Oh yeah the constant repeating radiant Dark Brotherhood quest pissed me off because it didn't even have the decency to stay in the trash quests pile.

That is exactly the one that pissed me off the most. I don't like the Night Mother, don't give a damn about doing anything for her past the main quest line for the DB(Daniel Bryan/Dark Brotherhood your choice), and because of this was really annoyed to keep seeing it there as active.

That is exactly the one that pissed me off the most. I don't like the Night Mother, don't give a damn about doing anything for her past the main quest line for the DB(Daniel Bryan/Dark Brotherhood your choice), and because of this was really annoyed to keep seeing it there as active.

Exactly why one of my favorite pastimes is destroying the Dark Brotherhood (start with Astrid and work my way down) and burn it to the ground...well, in Skyrim at least.

They're putzes anyway compared to their brethren in Oblivion...that's my real motivation for gutting them...no bothersome active quests in the log is a bonus! Night Mother...pfft.

I dig the whole assassination thing...that is the cool part of the DB, but the pinheads they send to assassinate the Dragonborn are probably the most incompetent assassins one could imagine. "I used to be a DB assassin stealth master wielding dual daggers of fury and always charging my targets from 500 meters away! ...then I took Dovahkiin arrow to the head."

And I'm the "poor bastard?" Umm, No.

If ever there were a time for a cheap game mechanic like having them pop out of the ground or something, that would have been the time to use it.

Having said that, I am a huge fan of the DB quest line in ES IV.

Funny thing; I used to hate the archery mechanic, then over time it really grew on me. Like a lot of other things in the game.

I dug it from the beginning. I used my Daedric Bow a ton until I respec'd to make some use of conjuration and then would conjure up Bound Bows because they looked cool.

Daedric Bow is great but for some reason I just stick to the Nightingale bow.

I mostly do that quest for Cicero. I have a mod that makes him mega hot so *cough* that and Shadowmere.

 

But yeah I thought it was awesome send off quest and then when I realized it was a glorified trash quest being forcibly repeated that pissed me off.

I loved Shadowmere for a mount that I barely used because I preferred on-foot travel to mounted travel and fast-travel.

 

But I ran into that bug where Shadowmere disappears forever so there goes that

Is it that bug where he doesn't come out of the pool?

 

If so kite an enemy to it and hopefully he'll engage it and come out. I had to do it twice before it worked the second time.

Nope, I had Shadowmere like always. I think it was the bug where he falls down the map never to return. I can boot up Skyrim on the 360 for *expletive*s and giggles trying to get him out of the pool to see if that'll work but I can't be assed. hahaha

Without the Night Mother they wouldn't be the Dark Brotherhood. They aren't just assassins, they are a death cult.

XD I admit I was lazy. I used horses because I was too cheap to pay to unlock certain cities. (I actually rode horseback to Riften XD)

 

Plus that quest on the boat was awesome.

 

Also yeah I need to install Helgen reborn. But I can't be bothered XD

If the next game takes place in Black-Marsh I imagine we'll get a lot more DB/Sithis content. Considering he's like the Argonians main patron.
