XD I admit I was lazy. I used horses because I was too cheap to pay to unlock certain cities. (I actually rode horseback to Riften XD)

 

Plus that quest on the boat was awesome.

 

Also yeah I need to install Helgen reborn. But I can't be bothered XD

 

I liked being on foot in first person and just taking it all in as I walked everywhere. It was great. I did it after I beat the game just to get from place to place and enjoy the views and experience.

 

I loved using Clear Skies at night to force the Northern Lights to appear.

Ohh, ok I see what you mean. You want an option to destroy her remains etc. That's just more RP options, I'm down with that. As long as it doesn't become part of the lore.

 

I'd take "destroying" her remains in a game to appear like it ACTUALLY happened and have the game's narrative follow it, but then a later game can reveal that she wasn't actually destroyed and we can play through it normally again.

 

I just hate the Night Mother and want to have nothing to do with her while still playing through Dark Brotherhood quests, with or without Daniel Bryan's help.

Yeah it's lame you can't be in 1st person on horseback I play most of the game in first person too (only time I switch is when I'm running away and need to check my back).

Oh yeah, I was hoping for first person horseback before Skyrim launched. I'll keep hoping for it in later TES games.

 

And yeah, it made traveling at night awesome every time. I was very happy once I figured out Clear Skies had that effect once daylight gave way to night.

You know I would think the Night Mother is obsolete at least in Skyrim because you become the Listener. I mean she speaks to you, but it's Sithis' will regardless. I'm all for cutting out the middle-man as another option. But I like the whole creepy dead matriarch leads death cult thing.

 

Unless that isn't how it really works.

Hmm, well then in that case I'd like if she was kept to a smaller capacity in the game for the Dark Brotherhood quests so more could be done outside of that link.

Think we will just have to agree to disagree. If anything, I think they need to do more with the storyline for the DB. It's losing a lot of the elements that make them so interesting.

I'd like to actively recruit people. Maybe a quest where you come across a murder or an assassination. And you recruit them to be your apprentice. Then you get a follower out of it that has a reason to follow you other than "You paid me/made me/are cool/ I was told to."

How about Night Mother still involved, but not physically? That way she's still a big part of the game but because she's not actually around right there with us it gives the illusion to folks like me that she has less of an actual presence in the game?

That's the one thing I don't like about my ENB. I can't see my PC's hand in front of her face at night
