This.
That should be EVERYONE'S reaction.
I'm the only one that thought it was just decent? Okay...
I recall that David Gaider posted a photo of his office and had a Vault Boy in the shot. I imagine game devs play lots of other games if only to see what's out there.chunkyman wrote...
I wonder if the devs at Bioware play Elder Scrolls games? They make RPG's, so I would imagine that they play them a lot, too. I bet they secretly love Bethesda's games, but tell their coworkers how glitchy and boring they are so they don't look loyal to Bioware's western-RPG competitor, lol.
Putting aside fears of being labeled Benedict Stanley, do any devs reading want to share their opinions on Skyrim or past Elder Scrolls games?

All Bethesda needs is a tad more story and interactive dialogue, and there's really no contest, since it appears from the article that much of the combat and leveling systems have been updated and overhauled. Just my opinion though.

Agree- if only Obsidian would do the story and writing and they'd add in companions, that would be perfect, IMO.
And the Skyrim trailer alone is about 500000000000 X better than any marketing bits DA2 has had as of yet.

Great point on Obsidian. I'm thinking Alpha Protocol and more importantly New Vegas. Yeah, excellent point. The thing I like about Bethesda is that they play to their strengths and play to their established fan base in their development methodology. They don't sell a billion units sure, but they sell enough. They're not trying to be everything to everyone.
Ooh, silver birches, pretty! We have one of those in our front garden.Brockololly wrote...
These screens were in the Game Informer article I think, but now they're readily available on the internet and AWESOME:

Yeah, funny thing is that New Vegas, which is about as number heavy and sort of "old school" an RPG you'll get now, sold more copies in 2010 on 360 alone, than ME2. And you can bet that Skyrim, sales wise, will blow ME3 out of the water as well as DA2.
