If you go into the load-game menu and look at your file stats, it will say how many hours and minutes you've put into the game.LPPrince wrote...

Is there a counter somewhere that tells you how long your playthrough is?
It will be a Steamworks game, so you can check your Steam library "hours played"
Xbox 360 player here.

Alright, stealth.
How does stealth work in the game? What maintains stealth and what gives you away?
Light? Sound? Movement? Combination of them all?
That is a combination of them all I would have to say. As I am one that tends to use stealth and a bow most of the time while in dungeons and such. When you attack of course you come out of stealth mod and it gives the enemy a chance to see you and attack. At least when you are in stealth you get the first attack most of the time. Unless you are spotted for one reason or another by someone. Usually my first attack depends on the number of enemies; If the is just one I tend to use my bow if there is several I'll use an area effect spell which does damage to multiple enemies in the area.

Is it hard to make money in these games? In some games the economy is ridiculously tough, in some its super easy, as far as making money is concerned.

Well you can always just go around looting, and get money that way.
HOWEVER, I heard that in Skyrim you can actually work for people, like chopping wood I think or mining and get paid for it, which is incredibly freaking awesome.

Good lord, LPPrince is pounding this thread, I haven't seen this many pages added in one day for a long time.
I took the thread out for dinner and a movie.
The thread was kind enough to invite me in for the night.
You're damn right I'm pounding this thread.

Yeah, reminds me of all the work I did in Fable II to get money. I believe for Skyrim its forging weapons, milling, and...can't remember the other one.

Say you purchase property(i.e. a house). Are there bills to pay? (lol Sims)
Can you rent out properties you own(betting no)?

No to both in Oblivion, not sure about Skyrim.

Can you upgrade weapons and armor? Cast spells on them to make them better, things like that?
In IV (Oblivion, I'll just say IV to be shorter from now on) you could enchant weapons and armor. low to medium level enchanting.

I don't know anything about the Sims games as it's one that just didn't interest me. But the good thing about having a house is the fact that you've got a place to store things that you don't need to be carrying. Like extra potions and scrolls for which add to your weight.

Have heard we will be able to do so in Skyrim but have yet to hear how the system will work in there. In oblivion you can even make your own potions, poisons as well as enchant armor and weapons.
You can't fast travel to your home directly but you can fast travel to the town or city for which it is in.

Now that's cool. Glad to hear it. Also curious about that badass bow I saw in a pic earlier in the thread. Looks enchanted, a special weapon, or something conjured from a spell.

That would be a cool bow to have in real life I won't argue with you on that one. I also think one with flames would look cool as well.

Ah yes, more questions.
Swimming. Possible?
More than that, in fact. It has been confirmed that there's places to explore underwater. One of the guys that Demo-ed the game reported finding a locked door with an ominous rune on it.... underwater. He didn't have time to explore further. But *I* certainly will the moment I get my hands on this game.
