Im a stay-at-home husband so I'll have all the time in the world to play .  If memory serves, I think gamestop is doing a midnight release so essentially what I'll end up doing is what I did with ME2;  Sleep most of the day on the 10th, get up at around 2300hrs, get some coffee in me, and then head up to gamestop where I'll get my copy and proceed to stay up until around 1900-2000hrs that day and play solid.  Luckily, my wife doesnt mind because shes just as much of a gamer as me lol

It's interesting to note that RAGE unlocked on Steam at 9pm PST (12 midnight EST).

Hopefully Skyrim will follow suit and we can begin playing at 9pm PST on Nov 10.

And essentially go on a 21 hour playing streak lol.  Well, essentially.  I'll probably take one or two breaks just to rest my eyes from playing so long lol.

I remember the time when I got my hands on Daggerfall, Oblivion, and Fallout 3. I Wasn't seen in a few weeks. I can only imagine what will happen with Skyrim D:

I'm going to abandon this forum for a week or two after Skyrim is released, I don't want to see any spoilers and I'll be spending all my time with  <3 Skyrim.<3

I can top that. I've a back injury that seems to have relapsed this last week, not only can I not work but I can rarely go anywhere. The way things are going I'll have all the time in the world to play Skyrim with no interruptions. I've realised this is the only thing keeping me sane, if it ends up sucking I dunno what I'm gonna do.

Question for those who've delved into spoilerish waters. I watched the 3 part demo from XBL and all I want to know is do I have to play a Nord or I can I still play a Dunmer/Dark Elf?

All ten races from previous games can be played as, both male and female.

You can play as any race.

Apparently the game manual has leaked but I can't find it online.

New info includes:

You being responsible for your companions crimes.
Persuade, intimidate and bribe are complemented by a brawl option.
You can get hirelings in taverns.

Have a link, its fairly close to christmas afterall...

Some are.  The Gamestop near me, where I pre-orderd,  will simply  not give me an answer on that.  3 times I've stopped by and asked, and each time they've said:  "We don't know yet.  You'll get an email if we do!"

I went to Gamestop today and put all the money down on a Skyrim preorder(with 5 bucks each put down on MW3 and ACR).

Girl behind the counter said there'd be a midnight release, but my friend who works there also said they don't know yet, and he has no idea why she tells everyone that.

So I'll likely call.

Well, my Gamestop is holding a midnight release for Arkham, and that game is not as popular or big as Skyrim, so you never know.

I start my new job 6 days before skyrim comes out which means I won't really have as much skyrim time as I like but oh well, that first weekend will be all skyrim.

This isn't confirmed, merely my personal idea, but I imagine somewhere near Pale Pass on Skyrim's southern border.
We know you are arrested for crossing the border, and we know Riverwood is an early MQ location, so I figure we must start fairly close to Riverwood on the border.

The game starts as the player is arrested crossing the border from Cyrodiil into Skyrim.

Not much is known about the beginning, but there is some sort of execution that the PC escapes from and eventually you end up in a cave not far from Riverwood.

Yeah, from watching/reading the Game con demos, it's got to be somewhere near Riverwood (southern border near the middle), since just about every single demo-er has reported coming across it as their first village discovery.

Me, I'm gonna get out of prison and head due east, just for the hell of it.
