I want the Dark Brotherhood to be in this game. My favorite thing about Oblivion was the Brotherhood :)

As sad as it is, to this day I had not yet heard that full "Skyrim" theme; and it is beautiful. The whole trailer looked phenomenal, but I got chills from the theme itself.

I need this game.

So long as we don't *have* to play a Nord man, everything looks good, and given as it's Bethesda, I'm likely worrying over nothing.

People also love Pop Idol, though I find its inexplicable popularity isn't really a compelling reason for me to like it too.  Though I suppose I could have simply said "Jurassic Park" instead of "Pop Idol" since that was also an exercise in excruciating tedium; though I also find dinosaurs uninspiring, I doubt their removal would salvage the film somehow.  Playing Farmville or whatever would indeed most likely be more entertaining, even though it'd likely cause brain death within 20 minutes.

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to Skyrim in spite of any tired dragon references, in the same way that I said I enjoyed DA:O and Ego Draconis which endured in spite of the inclusion dragons rather than because of them.  My main fear isn't dragons but gremlins: I just hope it crashes less often than Oblivion.  And Fallout 3.  And Morrowind.  And Daggerfall.  And... you get the idea.

Yo sista, wassup with all the hate? This is a thread of open-world luuuuurve. <3

Hire a dozen more voice actors, actually make the main story more interesting and deal with recycled areas like caves/ruins so it makes exploration actually tolerable.

If those fixes are issued then I'll buy it.

I just love how the warrior in that trailer gets right back up after being blasted with fire by a 10 ton flying reptile. "You can't roast me motherf*cker!"

The devs confirmed that they'd be in it. They're even shown in the trailer.

I like to play sneaky chatterboxes in the Elder Scrolls games. I wonder how the heck I'm supposed to kill a giant dragon like that. I'm picturing my schmoozing bosmer from Morrowind riding over a hill and seeing the dragon with his head cocked, slightly confused by the little man on the big horse. My bosmer says, "Hi, dragon!" Then bursts into flames. :-(

The game being fantasy references dragons...a lot. This game probably is the first of the series to actually contain them. (No, Martin does not count.)

The Dragonlings from Daggerfall say hi.

Being skilled at archery does not negate one's skill at bursting into flames. Image IPB

Slay it with arrows before it gets to breathe fire.

Damn! Good idea. I never play archers. I might have to try that out this time. I prefer hand to hand to face combat. Might give the archery stuff a shot.

I prefer using my fists. Nothing's as fun as punching a dragon to death.

Hopefully, Bethesda could learn a few things from Obsidian and start making fist-fighting more powerful.

Also, welcome back Godak!

Indeed. I've fisted quite a few deathclaws in Vegas...

Well Todd Howard at Bethesda did mention that they were thinking of giving archery a buff since it was pretty weak in Oblivion, so yeah it's probably a good time to start )->             (yes that's meant to be a bow and arrow :P).

About 30 watches later and the gameplay trailer still gives me chills at the dragon shout.

I really want to see the Construction Kit for this game. The trailer made the game look epic and there's two things that could make this game more epic.

1. Fixed Construction Set: Oblivion's had a lot of issues that made it difficult to use and required working around a lot of stuff.

2. Sheogorath: We may have stopped the Grey March, but you can never stop the madness!

Hopefully Bethesda haven't forgotten about what happened during the events of the Grey March, that is I hope that Jyggalag will be present in the game (in a side mission). I'm not really sure how they'll handle Sheogorath though (the game is 200 years after Oblivion- the new Sheogorath would most likely be dead by then, being mortal and all that).

What happened in the Shivering Isles is unprecedented. You really don't know if he's mortal anymore.

Regardless, how do you think Bethesda handles all their heroes? This is a really easy answer.
