The Redguard female looks better this time, so it's a toss up between that and Dark Elf.

Is it true you'll be able to increase chest size of the females? I heard a rumor and I won't believe it til I see it, but I am curious.

I don't know if you can affect bust size, but I'm pretty sure there's a body slider.

Well wait an hour after release and im sure a mod will be available for it

But no not directly.  You can increase the "weight" of your character to be light or heavy.  Of course to keep proportional the bust is bound to increase or decrease.  Thats the extent of it really.

Bust isn't always proportionate to a woman's size now. After all I've met /seen some pretty petite women with a nice size bust and I've seen bigger women with a small bust.

Same for me. I didn't like how the Redguards looked in Oblivion, but I really like the look of the female options in the customisation video I saw on Youtube, so I might go for one, but I had originally wanted a Dark Elf.

I demand photographic evidence of the pretty petite ones. I'll take your word on the other ones, you seem trustworthy enough that I don't need to see those.

hmmmm actually I cant fault the logic there :P

Ok its not very "classy" to have a slider of that nature, Skyrim really isnt that type of game you know  :innocent:

To be honest, all I care about is if I can make my character's face just the way I want it.

And even then, that'll only matter so much since I plan to play in first person.

Well its been confirmed that your characters face is set after the intro, so that means a lot of time in the CC for me. I know im going to be looking at her for 250+ hours  so I need her to be nigh-on-perfect.  Cant be doing with little nagging issues!

Oh yeah, I can easily spend a couple hours in character creation. I just hope they got rid of slider dependency.

Christ, I'm getting a game next Tuesday, the Tuesday after that, the Tuesday after the Tuesday after that, the Friday after that Tuesday, and the Tuesday after that.

Skyrim had to be all special and be the Friday release.

What happens if it does what Oblivion did to me and leaves you deformed for unknown reasons about 20 hours into the game? I ended up a Nord with a big green neck.

I know right? I ended up with a female character who looked like she had a five o'clock shadow on her chin. Really unattractive.

Well if the console command system is like Oblivion, Fallout 3 and New Vegas then showracemenu is the solution to any PC player with post CC face woes.

Designing in the toolset it also a good option, since after Oblivion only the toolset had all the slider options unlocked. People complained that Oblivion's CC had too many options and no presets, so they cut back on the options.

I have been playing Oblivion to help take off the edge as well as get me hyped.  Problem is everytime I am in northern part of the map and I see the snowcapped Jerrals or I am in Bruma with all the Nords around as well as the Nordish architecture it just reminds me more of Skyrim.  It is going to be a long month.

There's a LOT of other games coming out, folks.

If you need to bide more time, go out and get one of the other fantastic games coming out this Holiday season.

It really annoys me whenever I make a character that looked much better in the creation screen, then a few hours into the game, I realize he/she is a hideous freak of nature

Mine started out fine. I'm not even sure when he developed green neck because he was wearing the Dark Brotherhood um....hood. But I took it off for somereason and had to ask "Whats gone wrong here?" His face had also become unusually red which was almost acceptable compared to the green neck.

Yeah, just exited Oblivion with a sigh after a warrior hailed me as a son of Skyrim - and am now geeking at Skyrim reviews over supper. :D

I know what you mean because Im doing the same.  I was walking through Bruma finishing off the main quest for one my characters and one the NPC's said the standard "Have you heard about the recent events in Skyrim?"

I must have heard that line over a hundred times, but just the mention of that one word made me freak out !!

 :D

My first Oblivion character stayed pretty much the same from the CC menu up until she contracted poryphyrric hemophilia (aka vampirism). I was playing a Dunmer female and she turned into a a cross between Nosferatu and Jar-Jar Binks. Fortunately, there was a very small mod by the name of "Vampire Aging Disabled" that reduced the aging process and fixed the bug that caused the alternate gender facial mesh with vampirism.

I'm hoping vampirism won't result in aging, but I'm open to the concept if it is well-executed. I understand that as in Oblivion feeding will cause reduction of vampire appearance and powers. In my view this was always a bit counter-intuitive, as if you wanted to RP a vampire character you had to avoid feeding if you wanted to become stronger.
