Sheogorath: We may have stopped the Grey March, but you can never stop the madness!

Hopefully Bethesda haven't forgotten about what happened during the events of the Grey March, that is I hope that Jyggalag will be present in the game (in a side mission). I'm not really sure how they'll handle Sheogorath though (the game is 200 years after Oblivion- the new Sheogorath would most likely be dead by then, being mortal and all that).

Somehow I like to think that Jyggalag gets royally screwed after the new Mad God dies and turns back into Sheogorath and the cycle continues.

Regardless, how do you think Bethesda handles all their heroes? This is a really easy answer.

This is different however. Sheogorath is a Daedric Prince, if Sheogorath makes an appearance (as he did in Morrowind and Oblivion) then Bethesda will need a Sheogorath Voice actor. When a Sheogorath could range from being a male orc to a female argonian, this will be a problem (unless all versions of the protagonist inevitably transformed into the typical bearded man avatar that Sheogorath had).

No, it's really not. The specifics of all high profile events don't matter. What matters is that the event occurred and the consequences it entails. Even if post-Greymarch events are still unknown, the Mad God so far as we know exists.

It is different in that Sheogorath could well make an appearance in the game whereas previous heroes such as the Nerevarine or the Daggerfall hero can simply not be included (the Nerevarine went to Akavir and the Daggerfall Hero presumably perished during the events of the warp in the west- this meant that specifics about race/gender were not important in these cases since the characters never actually appeared in later titles).

If Skyrim follows past TES trends since Daggerfall then Sheogorath and the other Daedric princes will make an appearance. So Bethesda will either have to include the standard bearded man Sheogorath and make an excuse as to why all of the outcomes (race and gender wise) led to this or simply drop him from the game (I'm hoping they will go with the former).

I hope not since it would be interesting having another Daedric Prince around and to see what his plans are now that he is free.

i think as your char became Sheogorath you would also start to think like him and since daedra prices can take on many forms you would just go back to the Sheogorath we all know and love

Sheogorath's shrine had a different voice from SI Sheogorath in vanilla Oblivion. Bethesda can hand-wave Sheogorath through the "Daedra Princes can change their voices" explanation.

That is a very awesome trailer. It gets very tempting to buy it at release date.

They all hide behind titles. Being transformed into the Mad God is simply the Champion of Cyrodiil's own way of ending his chapter.

The running reminds me of COD.
God, I finished Morrowind and Oblivion so many times.. I hope the years if waiting will show good results.

I think Elder Scroll V will be a great and interesting game, I liked Elder IV. I didn't beat the game yet though. I can't wait for this one, yes this holiday season is and going to be epic and expensive. :) I am saving my money for later, I think the game will be interesting and yes good. I hope they have some old species back from the forth and new. :)

I sure hope they don't bring back Cliff Racers. I haaaaaated those things. I think I once used the console to kill all of the Cliff Racers in Morrowind.

Haha... I would go into the construction set and set all the cliff racers' aggressions to 0. So they would still be there, just not attack me... Oh how I miss Morrowind. So far it sounds like Skyrim will have a much closer level of detail and culture than Oblivion had as compared to Morrowind. That would be amazing.

People don't like dragons?
Big epic mythical creatures that are just awesome and we're gonna get too kill them and you're gonna complain about that?
Jeez next your gonna complain that the game is too fun.

They're relics of old fantasy. Tired and overused enemies, often depicted without any dimension other than to kill for the bloodthirsty nerd.

But, you can't remove them from Elder Scrolls either. It's like harkening back to its Dungeons and Dragons campaign origins. You can't remove that either. Even Morrowind couldn't eliminate that.

From what I understand, many of the dragons will have personality of some sort or the other.  They are all going to speak in some way.  Didn't you read (or watch) any of the GameInformer content?  Bethesda has been using them directly as a mirror.

I was one of the people posting Gameinformer links in this thread, and my comment about dragons isn't just about Elder Scrolls anyway.

Nice though to be reminded about dragon personalities.I did not know. But, unless they're reeking lore out of their fire breath, I don't care.

You should have pre-ordered. It's already here. Bethesda told of its return. Fallout 3, was merely its delay. For the time after Oblivion was released; When the developers of Fallout New Vegas would sacrifice their own time. But no one wanted to believe, believe it was ever scheduled. And when the trailer finally dawns, it dawns on fire! Know, there's one that Bioware and Mass Effect 3 will fear: In their circles, it is called The Elder Scrolls V... SKYRIM!

A plot.

The Emperor is killed in a plot instigated by the Mythic Dawn to get the Prince of Destruction, Dagon, to take over Tamriel, but before he died, the Emperor gives you the Amulet of Kings,  now you must find his heir which only the Emperor and that Blade/Priest fella know where is, and light the Dragonfires. You hand over the Amulet to the Blade/Priest fella who will protect it, then you find the lost heir, Martin, and return to the Blade/Priest fella. While you were gone, the Mythic Dawn took the Amulet, and is now in possession of Mankar Camoran, who has traveled to his Paradise.

You infiltrate the Mythic Dawn, trying to get the Amulet back, but Mankar leaves with the Amulet, but forgets his little spellbook which can tell you how to get to his Paradise. Then you give the book to Martin, and he starts telling you what is needed; several divine items. You search around for these, then finally, you have what you need to make a portal to Mankar's Paradise. You enter Paradise and have to get through it alive. Finally, you confront Mankar, which is the anchor for his Paradise, thus killing him, renders Paradise to ruin. Mankar dies and you return to Martin with the Amulet.

Now you have to light the Dragonfires, but before that, there's a little meeting. During this meeting, the Deadra floods into the Imperial City, looking for Martin. You escort Martin to the Temple of One, but Dagon has entered the mortal world, and there is nothing you can do. But Martin figures out he can use the Amulet with his own blood, sort of unleashing the holy of the holiest divinity act thing, and an avatar of Akatosh appear, and Akatosh manages to cast back Dagon into Oblivion and also seal it, removing the Oblivion threat. But while using the Amulet, Martin performed the ultimate sacrifice. But at the end of the day, all of Tamriel is safe again.

I don't know about you, but that sounds like a plot to me. At least as far as I remember it.

But what I really hope Skyrim will do, is to have the same level of sandbox gameplay, and interaction with the world, as to picking stuff up. I liked that.

I don't know about you but Bethesda is know for their open world design not their story telling.

It's another Elder Scrolls. I expect a plot that is badly told but with an amazing mod community to keep me coming back.

What I would like is for there to be horse combat like in Oblivion for the people who used Dead Reflex that was fun. Also Thieves Aresenal if that could be made into the actual game, not exactly like the mod but I mean actual AI that doesn't automatically know where I am and I can knock out and use the bow/arrow in new ways.

Besides looking pretty I wish some more details would be released till I'm sold. Oblivioin and morrowind both were too slow paced for me, I've yet to finish either. I like open world gaming but I like having things to do besides pick up plants and kill highwaymen.
