Best preview ever.
That is a great preview. No spoilers. +1 to them.
Walk around the world and see a Fire Mage and an Ice Mage duking it out in a battle of the elements.
sounds amazing!

We as a thread should come up with a vow when the game comes out....no story spoilers.

You shouldn't even look at the thread until you've completed the game at least once. You know people can't help themselves; spoilers will just slip right out of their fingers while they're typing without them even thinking about it.

I want a house in Solitude, but I suspect it will be too expensive for me to get one there. Whiterun hopefully has affordable real estate, so if Solitude is too spendy I'll live there.

So what city do you plan on buying a home in first play-through?

Well it depends on how many folks I've got to rip off and kill to get the money I need to buy a decent place.
But I'll be MIA on 11/11/11 due to the fact I'll be to busy enjoy the game.

I'll have to wait and see what city feels like home to me.
Does anyone else organize their loot in their houses?

Obviously, this is shameless speculation but I'm going to guess late next week. Say, between October 26-30Morroian wrote...
When does it go gold? Surely it has to be soon. I at least want to know its on the way to my retailer so they can send it to me on time.

I don't buy houses unless required. And since there's a marriage achievement, wherever the NPC of my dreams is located will be the location if a place is required like Fable.
Hmmm....I love non-combat aspects of RPGs. I can easily imagine myself spending more time pickpocketing NPCs than hunting dragons in Skyrim. I plan on buying every piece of property I can with my main character too. I generally hoard everything that can be picked up so gotta store excess loot somewhere safe.
