Vampirism is a definite go....it is 100% confirmed to be in Skyrim. Not much detail, if any, has been given to how it'll work or how its contracted from obtaining the disease to becoming a vampire, but my guess is its similar to IV.

Well, damn glad they're bringing Vampirism back, but I am hoping that the system is a bit different from either Morrowind or Oblivion. But I'm gonna be a vamp either way. Image IPB

Hey, does anybody know a link or something to see those different races in the game?

Dude, why are the necks of the females so thin?  I sure hope there's a Thickness slider for the neck.

Those race compilations don't look as nice as the images of female characters we've seen in magazines.

I don't buy houses unless required. And since there's a marriage achievement, wherever the NPC of my dreams is located will be the location if a place is required like Fable.

Hmmm....I love non-combat aspects of RPGs.  I can easily imagine myself spending more time pickpocketing NPCs than hunting dragons in Skyrim.  I plan on buying every piece of property I can with my main character too.  I generally hoard everything that can be picked up so gotta store excess loot somewhere safe. :D

I love making and reinforcing armors and weapons.  But with the outrageous prices of places in Fable and Oblivion, I can't see Skyrim being any cheaper.  And didn't think that'd be the only safe way to store things, in that case I would go and find the cheapest place I can.

I have a question, if anyone knows. The DRM for the PC version, from what I've read, is supposed to involve steamworks. Does that apply to retail purchasers, or is there simply a one-time thing for checking the copy of the game for the physical copy? It is significantly important to know before I buy the PC copy.

All legal purchases of Skyrim for the PC require Steam. You will be required to setup a Steam account if you haven't already and login. Then you install and activate the game through Steam while online. You will be required to download the latest version of the game if you don't already have it. Once all that is done, you can play offline, as long as you login to Steam. You don't have be online to login, as long as you save your account credentials(Steam will do this automatically AFAIK).

3:57 PM – I’m off to face the dragon outside of Whiterun.

4:02 PM – I find the dragon. He kills me.

4:06 PM – I die to the dragon.

4:09 PM – I die to the dragon.

4:14 PM – I die to the dragon. Demo’s over.

I'm hoping he was playing on the Easy or Normal difficulty setting.

So what city do you plan on buying a home in first play-through?

I want a house in Solitude, but I suspect it will be too expensive for me to get one there. Whiterun hopefully has affordable real estate, so if Solitude is too spendy I'll live there.

I don't know what each city is like, and I don't want to until I start playing the game.
The only things I'm planning out before the game's release is my race, name, and general playing style.

Wow, I'm the complete opposite.  I'm going  to try and  own as many houses as I can.  And if I can get away with marrying multiple NPCs, I'll be doing that too.

I seem to recall you were on the fence about pre-ordering - what was it that sealed the deal for you?

I really shouldn't, but I'm close to doing that myself. Need to resist. Already been burned twice this year.

I knew you could rotate loot and zoom in on it....and its incredibly detailed....but I was rewatching some demos and I didn't know you could examine items before picking them up into your inventory. This will give special items more significance.

Really? Wow. I wouldn't expect it to not be there, but that's some nice insurance.

Dragon Age 2 and Brink. I don't think any burn I experience will be as bad though. Unlike those games, if I don't like something about Skyrim, there's a much higher chance that I'll be able to fix it with mods. I'm just weary of paying 50 or 60 USD for coasters.

The fact that I got it for free with the NewEgg money I got from my old rig.

"Of course, I dispatched plenty of wolves and rabbits before moving up to bandits, including one tower stronghold that had roughly six bandits guarding it. Inside, I found the Lunar Forge, where you can create weapons with magical properties, if forged in the moonlight. That gives your weapons the vampiric ability to leech health from enemie and bestow it upon yourself. Of course, these weapons only work themselves in the moonlight, but still... awesome."

DA2 was what had me leary about pre-ordering it as well. After all the hype for DA3 it was a big let down down to say the least. I know I'll take a wait and see approach if/when there is a DA3.

I may have a wife in each city if you get benafits from being married, or just one wife. And when I sniff the slightest wiff of treachery I will smite her into the ground >> And her lover.....though in hapenstance I may keep to one wife, because in fable this happend and well...you can't let the murder get reported, so I ended up killing half the town.

Do we have any details on same-sex? If not, my first character's just going to be a throwaway exclusively for this achievement.  Do not ask me why because I will not have an answer for you.

Marvel Vs Capcom 3.  It took me forever to get my package.  I pre-ordered it too, the collector's edition, and it came more than just a few days late.  I was pissed off.

I had to wait three months after the release to get my signature edition of Dragon Age II. At least it was worth it.

@RPGamer13

Right now, no deatils on same-sex. I'm assuming it'll be like Fable and not treated like a big deal. But I'm not expecting any complex romance system or anything.
