Pete Hines Interview
Good interview, thanks for the link. The best part, in my opinion, was this quote:
"We don't worry about trying to change the type of game we are making to appeal to a wider audience. We just focus on making the best game possible and feel like that audience will continue to come and continue to get bigger."
That's how you run a franchise and maintain it! Sure there are changes between titles, but they tend to be small ones and the feel of the games are similar in their function and freedoms.
I've seen people on Youtube and the site that have went ape**** over that remark and trash the game at every point.
Yeah....but then again....according to youtube 90% of the population wants to lynch blacks.

Interesting enough but most live-action video game trailers don't really do it for me. Vastly prefer the original gameplay trailer.
There was some like half-hour play that they did at some event. I didn't see all of the vid, but it looked pretty awesome.

The original gameplay trailer was one of those lightning-in-a-bottle cases of a flawless trailer.
Pretty hard to follow that up with a second act, but this live action TV spot is fantastic IMO. Yes, it's odd that the villagers store a bucket of oil next to a fire; however, this trailer does an excellent job of telling an epic story within 30 seconds.
Maybe they were planning to have the dragon set everything on fire and then for whatever reason the CGI fire-breathing wasn't working so they had to insert a shot of someone spilling the oil.
The production design and art direction is fantastically detailed. The casting was perfect. Great choice for the actor portraying kid in the opening shot who sees a dragon in the sky.
The epic imagery ties in very well to the iconic Dovahkiin on all the key art:

People who might not remember skyrim will see this and make a connection with the posters and POS displays in store.

Hey now, I happen to keep a bucket of hot oil next to me at every fire. So I can splash it on anyone caught cheating at shadow puppets.chunkyman wrote...

Here's an article from Gamespy: http://pc.gamespy.co.../1210641p1.html
Apparently, the recommended specs will get you playing on High, but not Ultra. That's a step up from The Witcher actually, I meet the recommended requirements for The Witcher 2 and anything other than Medium without tweaks, makes the game slow down for me.
And who says it's a console port?
