I don't get why Oblivion gets all sorts of crap for supposed lack of plot, I thought the plot was great and fit very well. True, it's very cliche and not original, but I thought the telling of that same type of tale was original.

Must be the lack of subtely and nuance that spoiled the more sophisticated RPG player.

Idk, i would need to hear about MAJOR improvements to the combat to actually be excited. Think Demons Souls.

But it sure looks pretty !

Saw the interview. Easily one of the worst I've ever seen.

Q:"Are Dragons confirmed?"

A: "Yep"

Q:"Do they breathe fire?"

A: "Err.. yeah... "

(That obviously isn't a direct quote.)

They look like they've been magnified by 50x. The Creation engine is beautiful, have no fear.

One of the reasons I'm looking forward to Skyrim is because I'm from the west and have a great love of alpine/high mountain environments. It'll be like going hiking in my backyard...but with trolls lurking about.

Also, I really wonder how battle with dragons will play out, cause it would be ridiculous going toe-to-toe like in the trailer. Maybe we cripple them with a dragon shout, magic, etc.

At the moment the skyrim videos are really impressive.. However based on previous experiences with Oblivion.. it didn't really impress me though. I will keep a close eyes on Skyrim though.

Well, with Skyrim advertising, we have to keep in mind that Bethesda has bullsh*tted a lot about Oblivion, some features that they've shown in "gameplay" videos were altogether gone from the real game. Todd Howard is the new Peter Molyneux. A notorious liar.

I was put off with the leveling system in the Oblivion.. Enemy scaling was so bad and if you just level up normally and you will come to know you got seriously owned with the same level mob with you later.

I heard Todd explain why things like Radiant AI were cut in Oblivion. They did make Radiant AI, but it was so buggy that they had to tone it down in order for the game to function. It is completely different from Molyneux who actually did make things up.

Molyneux's fun though. I enjoy watching him get excited about his game.

Erm yeah......its probably best to ignore the guy asking the questions....

Extended cut is now up and its slightly less retarded with more info. Dragons apparently show up very early in the game. But again its best to ignore the questions and just listen to Todd Howard.

Thanks for posting - some interesting new tidbits, including the identity of the voice over artist who did the FUS RO DAH on the game play trailer.

for convenience here is Part 1and Part 2 of the 17 minute interview with Todd

Wow, I wanted to punch that interviewer in the teeth. Stop with the wisecracks and do your job already.

I thought the interview was okay considering Howard is not willing to answer more specific questions about Skyrim yet. I'm already convinced the dragons are awesome so hopefully Bethesda will be more forthcoming at E3. I am especially eager to learn more about factions.

I'm surprised at how many interviews are being published today!

Another new one on IGN

This one reveals 3 new pieces of info and it's a lot more entertaining than the GTTV interview IMO:

1. New Crime System

2. Different types of jails

3. Each race has some unique perks (e.g., Orcs have special powers that wood elves don't have, etc.)

Gonna have to play as a Nord I think. All this viking imagery makes all the other races seem inappropriate.

That's what I was thinking until I saw the pic of the badass blind Orc. Never played an Orc before, but looks like fun.

Looks really good. Most probably gonna kill most decent graphics card i believe.

Considering that all the images and game-footage we've seen so far are from the Xbox360 version with it's 5 year old graphics card - I'm pretty sure any modern mid-ranged decent graphics card would do just fine.

This interview is much better than the first. Also the new IGN stuff looks sweet. I hope we get local jails, maximum security national prisons, and debtors prisons.
