Dat house is mine.

I'll be the bro here and let you have it.

I would rather go with this house:

I'm probablygoing to find a really nice bandit camp that I like, and constantly kill all the bandits there when I need a place to rest.

Is that a house the PC can get?

Either way, its gorgeous. Look at the detail and shadow effects.

We can only hope.

Actually now that I think about it I think I remembe hearing that that was the companion's guild or something.
If it's just some random person's house then you'll probably just be able to kill the residents and take it as your own house.

They kinda look alike a little. I wonder if it's the same place?

Yes, it is Jarl Balgruuf's castle in Whiterun. (concept art and in-game screenshot)

Good observation, Dhiro. They do look like the same. Minor differences from the concept art, but I think you're right.

Wonder where its at on the map

**EDIT** Lol Naughty answered it before my post :P

Whiterun is relatively close to where you start the game; however, to enter the city walls, you must either bluff your way in, bribe the guards, fight them or have "legitimate business" in the city from a quest.

Looks like someone's going to be cracking guard skulls early in the game.

Playing an Imperial FTW then.

First guard that gives me trouble will face the unrelenting fury of my power. I shall summon upon them a creature that will make their blood freeze.

In other words, you will walk up to the next guard and try to bribe them.

Pretty much.

Though in the case of Whiterun I may make use of Illusion magic. Not that I really care - my main goal is to discover the secrets of the College of Winterhold :P

I think the guards in Whiterun will be Nords.

No, since they got bonuses to the skills that make your character more persuasive, LPPrince is glad they'll be able to persuade the guards, assuming there is such a skill and that it doesn't require a high level.

Oh, yes, I read one of the journalist previews where he said he needed a Speechcraft score of "X" in order to intimidate or bluff the Whiterun guards.

Instead of the Oblivion persuasion mini-game, it will be a lot more like the dialogue options in Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas that get unlocked based on your stats or completed quests.

Hopefully, somewhere in the game there will be dialogue options that get unlocked based on your race or gender, to add to the replay value.

All the guards will be Nords. They are slowly expanding their numbers until they take over Cyrodiil

The game is so close to release, I don't see the point in watching it.

Whetting your appetite. Like licking the batter from the bowl while baking, it'll only make you want the cake more.

I think I'd rather just experience it without seeing it first. What with this being my first TES game and all.

Just lie to the guard and say you saw a dragon.
