Wait....so werewolves are confirmed?

yes, and some major spoilers were leaked about how it is contracted. if you want to avoid them you might want to stay away from the internet for a few days.

WIthout any other details, does it come from one of the four confirmed guild quest-lines?

Actually there are multiple ways to become a werewolf

A whole quest line tied to Lycanthropy? Ew... my first character is definitely going to be enhanced through cheats and solely to see those things that I wouldn't otherwise.

I hate werewolves like I hate dogs, with a passion. But I like vampires, vampire chicks are sexy as hell.

Damn, good on Bethesda. I'm looking forward to seeing these different methods in action.

You might be pleased to know that sexy werewolf chicks are confirmed.

Would it be inappropriate to call them hot b***es then?

Also...do people really want their player character to become a werewolf and vampire at the same time, in addition to being a humanoid with the soul of a dragon? Give me a freakin' break, just be happy you have the options to be a werewolf or vampire. I mean how more bizarre and specialized can a character get?

Yeah, my character will be part horker, part dark elf, part yeti, part giant, a vampire and weresalmon that just happens to have the soul of a dragon!

I think picking a race then having one specialized quest based perk in addition to being a dragon born should be enough for some people.

When it comes to ES games if I'm going to play a character who isn't going to do the main quest I usually just ignore the labels/events/whatever that come with it. (e.g, being the neravarine, being busted out of gaol by the king etc)

Did I read that Werewolves are in the game? Is this true?

Call me stupid, but I think the S K Y R I M text needs to be thicker. Too thin. Needs bolded or something.

Yuppers -- However, most are guessing it's specifically for a group of multiple quests. However, I'm pretty sure I read you can still turn into one with a ring(?) anytime you want after the quests are done.

I love the idea of a collector's edition, but...I've bought enough over the years to realize how seldom I pick up or tinker around with the extras after I play the title for a year. $150 is way too much for the brief pleasure of a nice box, a small art book which will end up on the internet as a pdf in a month and a making of interview that seems cool, but loses it's luster after two viewings. And that dragon statue...pretty much every girlfriend/wife will toss that out as soon as possible. I wish the collector's edition for Skyrim was cheaper and offered better extras, though it is neat and the box art is awesome.

Really, a ring? That seems...cheap.

I like it. Elegence in simplicity regarding I don't feel like I need it to be screaming SKYRIM at me as all the screaming like little girl will come from my end the moment my Conan (the barbarian *giggle*) character makes his first steps into the world.

Morrowind did the same thing.

Until you did all the werewolf quests you were forced to turn into one every night (assuming you were bitten).
However once you completed all the quests you could control it at will by using a ring.

Shouldn't it be Grognak the Barbarian?

Also, I like the thin type for the Skyrim logo. It's architectural yet spacious as in the vista of the country within the game. Too bold would be oo heavy, I like the contrast going on with the font's style, it's contrast with the art and it's kerning. Bethesda deffinitely used a good designer for the logo.

It isn't so much the thin font, I guess, just that it looks like S K Y R I M and not SKYRIM.

Awesome news, knowing what I know now about it though is just enough good information. I'm glad word got out. I think it indicates how much depth in the content we are going to get is. An entire questline to it? Geez. Friggin sweetness!
The ring idea is nifty, especially if it the main (item) reward from the questline. I think rings will have more tangible meaning since we can zoom and analyze our items in inventory...I'm sure each ring design is unique with intricate detail for viewing.

I guess there is a vampirism questline then....and I wonder if there is any permanent cure before you have the ring. Hopefully, too, one character cannot be both vampire and werewolve in the same playthrough. One or the other.

Can't friggin wait til Friday

The only bit of Skyrim I get these days is rewatching the Northern Lights video.

So beautiful. God forbid I get there in game, I'll sit there for hours just looking into the night sky.

You just think your body is ready, it shall crumble under the pressure a day before your copy arrives at your house. If lucky enough to survive till have it in your hands your body will just melt with passion as your hand gets ever closer to popping that disc inside. By the time the first logo pops up you shall be nothing but a puddle of ooze on the floor, a happy puddle but a puddle all the same.

:D
