Also I love how they'll be getting rid of the "What will your character specialize in" System. It's always been in the series but I like the change. What I'm wondering is what will be the most popular race...

I don't I'll ever understand the want for multiplayer in TES. Sure co-op RPG sounds fun on paper, now how does that work with conversations with NPC's and various other factors?
Skip to 1:30 It is possible to have multiplayer dialogue. Though I agree leave Elder Scrolls single player.

I've usually rolled Dunmer, but after being blown away by the completely revamped, badass Orc and cool looking Khajit, I can't wait to see all the other new character designs for the various races.

Dark Elves, Argonians and bretons have been my mostly played races. Though with more customization (Not only facial but bodily) I'm also interested in other races. Other than that, don't want the PC's race to drastically affect the experience.naughty99 wrote...

Yeah. If anyone wants to play a Co-op RPG, then play BG multiplayer and see how much chaos it is

I would think co-op would work alot better in an Elder Scrolls game ( an action rpg)
Rather than BG , a tactical party based game, where you have to pause alot during combat.
And for the dialog, they could just do it like NWN does.
I actually think co-op would be a great for an ES game. ( as long as they ramped up the difficulty )
They could make the classes more restrictive too. Getting rid of the do it all type characters, they feel obligated to let you create in a single player only game.
It would have to be drop in, drop out also, so you wouldn't be restricted to play in co-op only.

Nothing randomly generated (in any way)
Interesting dungeons with good rewards
No level scaling
No item scaling
Good stealth (something like in Thief)
Well done guilds
Good character creation
A lot of weapons
Keep fast travel the same but also have caravans or some giant creature you can ride
Giant animals like mammoths
Be able to get dogs or wolves as pets an be able to name them
More assassin armor
Tons of hidden stuff and mystery
Horses have saddle bags
Werewolves and vampires
Individual armor slots
Spell making and enchanting
More companions with better AI
Animal to hunt and skin
Assassinations instead of just a plain hit when you sneak up from behind you enter some kind of animation and kill the guy.
Horses that are as badass as the ones in RDR.
Counter system.
More realistic looking conversations
A realistic mode. You need to bandage wounds, sleep, eat ect. But more refined than hardcore mode was in FNV
Combat that's more fun and fluid like Dark Messiah. More focus on skill rather than stats.
No more psychic guards.
Wouldn't mind the ability to have relationships with npcs.
The ability to hide bodies.
Not being able to do every guild questline regardless of class.
Dark Brotherhood
Other than that, I'm very easy to please.

This is what I want in Skyrim.
Nothing randomly generated (in any way) - IMO there will be some random stuff
Interesting dungeons with good rewards - looks very likely from the info we have received
No level scaling - FO3 style level scaling is confirmed
No item scaling - I hope so, but not confirmed yet
Good stealth (something like in Thief) - great idea, stealth has been improved but it will probably be more like FO3
Well done guilds - really hoping for this as well, at least it seems like there will be more factions in conflict
Good character creation - at least the character faces will not be as hideous as Oblivion, also scars and face paint are confirmed
Keep fast travel the same but also have caravans or some giant creature you can ride - something like this is confirmed; a carriage system or some similar system that lets you travel to a few cities
Giant animals like mammoths - confirmed
Tons of hidden stuff and mystery - sounds great, at least the puzzles and traps are confirmed by Todd to be far beyond anything they have done in previous TES games
Werewolves and vampires - werewolves not confirmed yet but something called were-yeti is, also ice vampires most likely in and that suggests regular vampirism
Spell making and enchanting -enchanting confirmed so far
More companions with better AI - many more villagers and NPCs can accompany you as companions, you can even hire people, but generally they won't be as richly detailed as a few of the important NPCs - have to wait and see about the AI
Animal to hunt and skin
Assassinations instead of just a plain hit when you sneak up from behind you enter some kind of animation and kill the guy. - i think there was mention of an assassinate perk for dagger (one handed skill tree)
More realistic looking conversations
A realistic mode. You need to bandage wounds, sleep, eat ect. But more refined than hardcore mode was in FNV
Combat that's more fun and fluid like Dark Messiah. More focus on skill rather than stats. - sounds very cool, hopefully more info about this at E3
No more psychic guards.- hope so but no idea yet
Wouldn't mind the ability to have relationships with npcs. - no info on this yet
The ability to hide bodies. - cool idea!
Not being able to do every guild questline regardless of class.- I really hope this is implemented as well
Dark Brotherhood - already confirmed

I rarely play the game's featured race (Dark elves for Morrowind, Imperial for Oblivion and Nord for Skyrim). I like to mix it up a bitJ0HNL3I wrote...

Hm Dead Island seems to be a very interesting game. It's not like "Kill the most zombies and win (Dead rising)" or "Survive with weapons being given to you with increasingly difficult waves of opponents (CoD zombies)" but it's a true survival game. Then there is Skyrim which will bring TES to a whole new level, with a ton of new features.KenKenpachi wrote...
Hmm always played as Imperial Myself. GLORY To THE EMPIRE! But yeah, been playing Oblivion more lately, pretty solid game once you get around a few things, and given ME:3 being pushed to next year that free's up at least one game spot this year from money I sat aside. Serriously considering either this or Dead Island. Right now not sold on either. Too little info on both for my liking.
Speaking of the Empire, they say that the game takes place 200 years after Oblivion and that the nords are thinking of breaking off the empire and that there is only one surviving blade. What's the current status of the empire? Are there only small remnants or is it just recovering?

The Empire is a former shadow of what it was. Large parts of Tamriel are already de facto independent.

Yes, it's not. The elves are now hostile to the interests of Cyrodiil, and so are the beast races. I don't know about High Rock or Hammerfell, but Skyrim already has anti-imperial factions in some of the Nordic holds.

What I would want is that interactions are different between races. Not just a sudden disposition loss or a few race-specific insults but something like the shopowner refuses to sell to you (Unless you gain reknown) or some people try to carry out attacks against you. That would give the environment in The Elder Scrolls a pretty gritty feel.

"
- How do you handle the level design of the game differently from Oblivion
- In Oblivion we let the visual designers take care of the caves, also we had a couple of specific "level designers" who went over them afterwards. There was nothing wrong with them, but they could have been better. So now we have a bunch of the eight-nine is really talented. At last count we had about 120 real caves, and more than 100 common points of interest outside. The game is actually too big."
Hmm sounds like they aren't willing to make the game two discs, and that last bit worries me sounds like they might cut back on content. In fact it sounds like in exchange for the pretty pictures we may be getting a smaller world. Least feels that way to me.. But nice to see a bit of refinement and limiting on the skills back to three cores and a total of 21. Also Finally Children.
I always felt like when the homeless go "I NEED MONMEY TO FEED ME CHILDREN!" that they m ay be lying drunks. But given I never seen ANY kids I've taken up giving them a chance and paying them for rumors and such. Now I can know if they are liars. >>
