Lots of people made great contributions, but Naughty and you, Chunky, were spit on all of the time.

I have a feeling this thread will be around for quite a while yet :P. I won't be able to play my first playthrough in any less than 4 or 5 months. That's plenty to chat about.

Btw....I'm beginning to wonder what my Argonian will sound like when he shouts.

Well the release verison is weeks old and in that time they've still been doing quality assurance.

The only thing I can complain about is some of the jump animations are kinda floaty. My avatar sometimes gets floaty and stuck in some of the environments. Sometimes the jump button just doesn't respond at all.

I was out in the mountains and had some climbing issues. This is the only thing that kinda sticks out as kinda hit and miss.

RPGamer-Thats why I don't download large files like games and the like. My luck is it gets 1/2 to 3/4 complete and than I lose the power. Typical for the are that I live in. Besides that there is no difference between the disk price and download price. I'm hoping that the dual weapon is good as well due to the fact that I plan on dual wielding long swords or daggers. As for music I wouldn't call that a spoiler. Will have to admit that what I've heard of the sound tracks I like.<G>

At least I'm not alone on this.

It's downloading faster than anticipated.  Though I think it slowed down after it hit 75%, must have been a number of people that just jumped on it.  Anyway, it's been at an average of 2.4MB after I found out how to check.

I just checked out some of the pieces, and I am surprised that it's all orchestrated, or at least it convincingly sounds like it was.  I might actually notice the music while I play.

It's just now adays, there's so few music tracks in games that really stand out.  At least, not to me, or it's all Techno/Electronica/whatever that I really don't like.   I'm looking at you Mass Effect!

It's not the first game that has got one or ever will get one on day one.  Also, there's plenty time between the disc files being submitted for printing and release for them to find stuff and patch them.

Expect many many patches. And unofficial ones on top of all that.

With a game of this scope, it would be virtually impossible to have ironed out all of the kinks before release (and even long after that) - and quite frankly, I'm amazed that they can even put a game like this together so coherently in the first place.

Seriously, these kinds games get bigger and more advanced with each subsequent release - I suspect we'll have a milestone in gaming on our hands in two more days. I'm looking forward to it more than I've looked forward to a game in a looong time.

It's a Bethesda game. Why are people surprised that there are glitches?

Day one patches are a common thing these days.

And it's not dumb.  the game ships  and QA keeps working.  I'd much rather have a release date patch than say, a patch  that comes a week later and only after a million players have b*tched about  a glitch they discovered.

I much rather download a patch on Day One if that means I will experience less annoying (And sometimes gamebreaking) Bugs.

Ok, something that you guys aren't going to like. The horse animation in this game is soooo bad..... How bad is it? I may just walk every where. They should name this horse Pegasus.

Realistically, one should wait a month or two till it's all patched up.

Yeah right.

They looked great to me. I loved the fact they were stocky, too. Fit the setting. I hope they have more then a brown horse, though because that's the only color I've seen.

Tell me they have a black one?

What are you playing on? If PC then maybe your system has issues if others horses are fine. Could be glitch I guess, I'm not too bothered by small ones like that. As long as there isnt vast constant system freezes I'm happy.

Not surprised.  The Dev Diary talked about horses and one thing they brought up was Red Dead Redemption how they didn't want to be like that.
Sounds dumb to me having the horses like RDR is something all games that have horses should aspire to.

Fallout New Vegas Download File Size
6.28 GB

I`m concerned right now .
How can a game with so much content and epicness only weight 5.71 gig?
ME2 with all the DLC was something like 30 gig LOL .

Maybe it's something i don't know! The game will be epic but still!
