There was Levitation and spell creation in previous ES games as well, but we know for a fact that they scrapped those in Skyrim.Redneck1st wrote...

In Skyrim? Do you have any proof of this?J0HNL3I wrote...
5.there are spells that can unlock doors
I've scoured every single spoiler-filled piece I can find, and have seen laundry-lists of the Alteration spell school. Lockpicking wasn't in any of them.
I couldn't see why there wouldn't be. After all there were spells in Oblivion which would allow you to unlock various types of locks from the easy to the very hard.
But to answer your point, I can easily see why they'd remove such a game-imbalancing "gimme" power from the game. I mean, why bother wasting valuable skills and perks,, or finding skill stones all designed to increase your lock picking skills, and actually taking time to master the new lock-picking system, when anyone can just cast a spell from the getgo and instantly open any lock in the game?
It's not imbalancing, if you need high skill in magic to even be able to cast it (due to prohibitive Magicka cost for the higher level versions). If you need, say, 75 Alteration to be able to open any lock by expanding your entire Magicka, then it's fair, IMVHO. This also ensures that you're not able to open everything "from the get go", and makes it actually more challenging then levelling lockpick (especially that you cannot subsitute your manual dexterity for skill in this case).... while providing additional options.

The Textures are re used, over and over and over, and not only that, but some of them are out right ****ing trash.
i played it, i know.
Well, that doesn't sound very reassuring.
I wouldn't worry, I saw 1.5 hours of HD footage and it looks great to me. While textures are re-used a lot, it's better than Oblivion and it didn't bother me in the slightest. Artistically, Skyrim is light-years ahead of Oblivion too, if that counts for anything.
Yes indeed, i haven't played it too much, as i want to finish all the games i have left before completely jumping into Skyrim like i want to( *Sigh* Battlefield 3's campaign is so boring, DICE why did you included?, all i wanted was the Multiplayer....), but from what i played, giving that you'll be moving a lot, it won't bother you unless you look closely, from a far distance however, they look great.
Well damn...why'd you make it sound so horrible then? Had my heart stopping.
Well maybe i made it look too bad, but still doesn't change the fact that if you look closely at the textures, you will see that they are complete and utter garbage, but still, that shouldn't distract you(notice how i never said it would), just make you're moving a lot, to not look at them for too(well, some, some are pretty good)
I don't think I will have to worry too much as plan on getting my copy for PC while noticed yours was console. Worst case scenario of not amazing will be fixed by mods. But I am pretty sure PC version on highest settings will look jaw dropping amazing.
As for file size the game is not filled to the brim with CGI and cutscenes/movie files in theory so that drops the file size drastically however 5-6gb is still quite low. o.O

Conjuration looked great- bound weapons and storm atronach looked awesome. Also Falmer reveal- the little ugly guy near the start (he pops up later on too). Not sure about them being portrayed as little goblins tbh, they must have evolved to suit their subterranean environment or something (and as a result became dummies).

AC:R = Ass. Creed Revelations.
ACB was more of an expansion anyway, so the jump wasn't going to be as big as the one from 1 to 2. And AC3 will definitely come out next year. To coincide with the whole '2012' prophecy thingy.
Love the assassins creed series, but I can only choose two game this month and ACR is not one of them.

Totally bad ass... and were those Dwemer ruins and centurions that I saw?
Those were dwarven sphere centurions, Falmer, and an awesome introduction to what looks like the Shrine of Nocturnal?

That dual wielding finisher where she stabs the guy through the chest and lifts him right off the ground was pretty bad ass.

Do you think the average BW fan will enjoy Skyrim? I'm a bit worried that the lack of structure (i.e. open world) may frustrate me and become tedious. As they say, it may be overwhelming. For better or worse, BW games definitely have structure.
I would imagine the average BW fan is into various RPGs, not only Bioware games. However if the open world / non-linear aspect is a overwhelming, you can always plow through the main quest during your first playthrough.
The main quest and the major guild questlines are pretty compelling. Also, as soon as you get your first dragon shout you will definitely want to unlock more by killing more dragons and finding more word walls.
