Yeah, I realized my mistake too late. But you get the idea - it's small and unabtrusive. Oblivion's is better than Skyrim imo.

I don't get why devs make UI elements so damn big now.

I'm playing on PC, in fact I have never played any games on any consoles before (other than the 8-bit NES). IMHO the Skyrim UI looks orders of magnitude better than the Oblivion UI. I was always scrolling like crazy through lists of 1000s of items to find some soul gem or a torch, etc., I needed. This looks more user friendly to me.

The part that you say looks small and unobtrusive is just the HUD. The Skyrim HUD is in fact even less obtrusive than the image you posted. The bars of magicka, health, stamina only appear when you are using them (i.e., fighting, running or casting spells, etc.), the map only appears when you look at the map and there is no icon to show what your equipped item is (instead you can see your equipped items in your hands).

I couldn't agree with you more otherwise the only chance we'd have of taking it down is with ranged weapons and spells.

Desktop, through Newegg. (G.skill sniper because it was on sale, 8 gb for $38.) There was some sort of mix-up with the delivery from the distribution center in my state, so it sat in a warehouse for two extra days. Sigh.

I hate when they have a mix up like that there. Especially when it's something you need. I've got 12 gigs of ram in my I7 currently.

What size monitor you got? I've got a 22" and a 47" hd plus another 19" for which I could hook up and play 3 games at once if I wanted to as well.

A 22" Hannspree, a 23" ASUS, and a 19" Acer.

And my single 6950 wwould probably be able to swing all three at the same time. Probably have to turn a few things down, but whatever.

Nope, Australia and this is an EB Pre-order. I foolishly chose the postal option instead of store pick up.
Well until it arrives I'll keep myself entertained with Shogun 2 and Hot Pursuit.
