Speaking of the UI, in one of those screens there's a health bar, but not in the others. Does anyone know if you can disable parts of it, like Assassin's Creed?

No, I mean today. All I have is work tomorow. (Short shift to cover for someone else.)EternalAmbiguity wrote...
Well I don't have anything, we get out of class because of Veterans Day. I'd planned on waiting a week until finals are over, but I don't know if I can...
So I'll be able to play, I'm just lamenting having an exam in general.

It will go away if not in use/affected. I also heard you can affect opacity? I don't know about that 100%, though.

Even though they don't matter, I'm still glad it's getting fantastic reviews. The Escapist gave it 5 rawring stars. I like that magazine. The said that it's was OLD SCHOOL!
Sucks that I have to work tomorrow, unless I can think up some contagious disease I've suddenly come down with.

I'll be at my local GameStop at midnight to get my already paid for copy of Syrim for my PS3 (why on my PS3, because choosing between my pc and my 42 inch TV was a non issue),
Wait what? PC can be connected to tv's and you'd give all the precious mods?!

Edit: What's the PC sitting on in the first pic? They're elevated.

They're not going to be much better then a console, I've heard -- Unless you have a super beefy computer. Still looks great though!

These types of games never look OMFG amazing. That should not be a surprise.
Though in my opinion, they are OMFG amazing.

I've finally decided what character I'm going to roll: pure Breton mage (because all reviewers say that while physical combat is still a bit of a letdown, magic is frickin' amazing). I know it sounds generic, but I've come up with a cool little backstory for the guy and I'm excited to see how he's going to play out.

From RPS:Not only is Skyrim, for my money, the game of the year, but… oh this is hard. Very hard. I’m sorry Morrowind – I love you, but I don’t need you anymore. I think, at last, there is a new Best Elder Scrolls Ever.
It’s very hard to be at work, pretending to work and then see this. I burst out laughing in a quiet library. Needless to say, nobody believed it was work related.

Come on...for PC that is rather underwhelming. I didn't expect Witcher 2 graphics but look into the distance or textures.

Textures and draw distance both look great to me.
I know after seeing these that I will never need to install texture mods and the graphics extender. Those really reduced my Oblivion fps.
You have to look at these from the point of reference of the vanilla textures in Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Oblivion

People should have been anticipating this as soon as the recommended requirements were released and adjusted their expectations accordingly?Ringo12 wrote...

Yeah, I'm probably going for a spellcasting type of character as well. My usual characters in previous Elder's Scrolls games have usually been melee oriented with "assassin" or "cleric" type of builds, being a pure spellslinger will bring a nice change to it. And the spells look fantastic this time around.
Propably going for that sneaky type for my second character though.
