They do have points though.
i'm a few hours away from the PC version, but having played the Console version, and seeing that, apperantly, the UI is the same as the consoles, there is obviously a problem, cause the UI in the console version was CLEARLY designe for Consoles.

Not to mention, apperantly, there is no Key Binding(NO KEY BINDING, YOU ****ING KIDDING ME?), No way to rotate or zoom in items, you can't use the mouse scrolling for the menus.

Hmm, true. That might be why some of the textures look "bland" in the first place - it's a ported version optimized for the console to handle, and not the PC which can generally handle a whole lot more.

That happens a lot with games these days, because consoles are where most of the money is going to be made - and PC is relegated to being an afterthought.

If you dont considered buying the game yet, buy it, it's AWESOME!

That is not true. But the glorious PC master race nowadays doesn't read manuals anymore I guess.

Which part isn't true?

I wish I brought my 360 controller with me, third person would be more fun that way. But First Person is still the preferred way to play it seems... Argh!

Okay, there are a couple places the menus could use some tweaks, but it isn't as bad as this one thread I read over on the official forums. And the graphics aren't that bad, better than Oblivion on max settings on the pc... That's all I care about.

I play PC but I do sometimes get perception headaches in first person games so I plan on using first person until seem to be getting a headache then switch to 3rd person.

i can't believe what i'm saying, but i may stick to the Console Version until Mods arrive and fix this(or perhaps a patch).

I disagree with the Skyrim having weaker combat then TW2, but by God if it isn't an awesome game.

Is the attention to detail in the game world really as good as advertised?

I don't have the game yet, but from my experience, most gamers  hate reading manuals, even though the vast majority of the Bethesda forum, day one butthurt whines would be quelled by doing so.   I'm certain there ARE key bindings  in this game, as well as a way to assign tasks to the mouse and its scroll wheel, it's just that you have to actually READ the game manual to find out how to do it.

Well, depends.

Graphically speaking, for a Console, Yes.
For a PC, Eh.... No.

For the Detail to the world Itself however, is even better.
Even is handcrafted with Love and detail, everybody has stories to share, the world feels so alive...
it's amazing.

Damn those UI issues.

I have 7 hours to kill. Perfect time to do some homework. By the way guys, how is the jumping. Is it vastly improved or does it still look stupid. And please be honest.

I don't quite understand. You have been playing Skyrim on both Xbox and PC already?

I think he means that tbe graphics on his PC look no better than console graphics.

I haven't got that far. I spent 5 hours with it running, and all I've done is left the cavern at level 2.5

Well, I went through the intro 2x as well. And I played another segment a few times. I wish either a) items didn't weigh so much or B) you got more Encumbrance when choosing Stamina to level. Really, just 5 Encumbrance!?

Well first thing to do is to disable mouse smoothing in the .ini file.

Then up the mouse sensitivity.

Character customization screen is terrible compared to DAO. Similar amount of options, but the layout of them all is terrible.

Graphics IMO arent as good as Witcher 2 (both on highest at 1920x1080).

UI is a clearly for gamepads, but i've not had many major issues yet. Combat in TW2 is better IMO.

Not impressed yet, but barely played it, just initial impressions.

Oh sorry...brain dead at this hour.

What I meant was that I disagree with TW2 having worse combat then Skyrim.

I'm reminded of This Guy.

And what is everyone feasting upon?

A nice bubble bath, a chopped salad from my favorite deli, a glass of pinot noir red bull perhaps.

All I can say is this: PC gamers get stuck with lame UI's all the time due to lazy porting. After a while the grievance builds up like a festering sore spot on yer ass, and then the next big multiplatform game that had a 100 million dollar budget comes out with a consolized UI. PC gamers gonna vent.

I say this not experiencing Skyrim's UI though. Maybe they are butt hurt.
