You can use the mouse in the haracter creator.

It's hard to move the sliders though. But for the headings, you have to click on the right or left side of the header section to switch between the categories.

Just an hour to go and its unlocked!
I know I said I wont be back to avoid spoilers but i have nothing else to do right now. I just finished my latest Uncharted 2 playthrough and dont want to start up something else this close to release.

Woot! I just got my copy of the game, people:D:O
Looking at the textured map while waiting for it to install. I can see some of the porvinces from previous games: High Rock, Morrowind and Cyrodiil all on the border.
And I got this leather bound diary/journal with the logo on the fron with my Skyrim edition(only available in Aus from what I hear)

God the character creator sucks on the console.

Who the **** thought it'd be a good idea to have a shadow on one side of the character's face and to not allow zooming?

I know, it sucks, you really have to move the head around a lot to be able to see what you are doing for each individual slider.

Weird, I switch to Online mode and the first time I boot it up, the game is running slow as **** when before it ran perfectly.  So I had to delete and hope reinstalling fixes it.

Well now since I'm still working on downloading whatever it is I need to from steam I've not been able to start the game yet. Don't know if it's cause of the content you need to download from the site<even thought I've got the disk> or that steam is just slow cause of so many folks on right now cause of Skyrim. But I'm patiently waiting to play the game.

Now if any here would like to add me as a friend I'm using the same handle over there that I've got here redneck1st so feel free to add me and if it asks just mention that you know me from here<G>

Not from me. 5 hours and I have yet to do anything significant, I don't even see any dragons.


If you want to install from the disc, apparently you have to sign off and exit out of steam, go to Run and run the disc that way.


EDIT: That's what I read on Gamefaqs.  But can't you install it in Offline mode from the disc?

So I found an issue to my problem that I posted earlier. Just linking it hear for anyone who uses a soundcard at 9600hz. Simple enough just set your audio to nothing higher then 44100Hz.

Fix.

After playing through the tutorial bit, it looks far better in motion than in the screenshots on PC. That said, there are some ugly textures.

The character creator kind of sucks too, in that you can't deviate too much from the presets really. And they don't zoom in close enough to the face to really tell what you're doing.

My biggest complaint would be the damn UI and keyboard/mouse controls. The mouse just feels terribly lethargic and floaty. And the menus are garbage. I'll probably get used to them, but for a mouse/keyboard they're terribly unintuitive in terms of how some things respond to clicking while others respond to only using the keyboard. Its pretty bad.

Oh, snap. Guess if you are on Steam Online, you are at the mercy of their servers. But if you're Offline, the game runs like it should. Guess that means they are running slow because of people trying to install the game.

Did Steam Day-1 Patch fixed the mouse not working on UI? Damn, I can't believe they would screw PC gamers like that and not fix it. It's not a luxury, like some ME2 devs may believe. It is so basic that not having it looks like developed by someone who never had a PC in his life!

Ew... Giant Spider... Boss class! This thing takes a ton of dmg to kill and does even more to you.

I'm on Master difficulty anyway, gotta love the heightened skill increases.

I'm loving every second.

Finally have a better feel for the UI. Just leveled for the first time and really focused on my magicka choosing magicka and then Novice Destruction Spells at 50% Magicka in the Destruction tree.

It just keeps getting better and better. Headed north...going to try and find the Dark Brotherhood soon.
